First of all - great attendance today with over 41.000. Clearly the intro of Jack The Lad at half time made a massive difference to midfield dominance. Thirdly, if we are sponsored by Greene King IPA (quality ale) how come I am still suffering sh1t Heineken or Fosters in the bars?

Jedinak and Gardener, both terrible today, looked like to much Xmas pudding . We are crying out for a midfield Dynamo, somebody full of energy, somebody to keep the ball moving . Time after time every thing slows down to a walk, Villa play their best football when it's moved fast . The first thing you teach kids play the ball, move into space for the return . Not very often we see it happening, they play it and stand still . Jedinak today was just happy to get a boot on it . Baker played well and Bacuna was a man possessed at times . You have to give it Bacuna, after all that happened last season, the kid has kept his head down and worked at it . let's see what Santa Tony, gets for us in the sales . Onwards& Upwards Villaforever.

You are right Dave Jedinak and gardener weren't good enough today and should of closed down the cross for their goal but that wasn't the biggest problem today. Kodja has been arguably our best signing so far but today he was not on his game, offside 7 times in one game? I couldn't tell from the holte if grealishs effort would of made it in but he ran in a tapped it anyway from offside an got that ruled off, jumping under headers when there's no one around him, blasting it over from a crossed position with 3 in the box. Adomah wasn't great either, but says a lot when two of our most influential players aren't on their game and we still win, points are points and everyone left happy so buzzing! Onto Leeds! Buzzing for bacuna aswell, he deserved that!

Bacuna had best day at the office for a long time. Agree Jedinak was back into 'cart horse mode' and Kodjia was on a different wave length today. Hope Ross Mac goal will fire home up in time for ACoN gaps up front? Wasn't a pretty spectacle but another ground out result! Didn't appreciate the halftime booing be it a small minority of he mega 41k crowd! With today's performance LUFC is going to be a massive task UTV.

Agree Jedinak, Gardener, Adoma and Amarvi didn't have there best games. Bacuna was great 20 for mins disappeared then came back again
Kodjia a threat but had he ever won s header or pass the ball. it's ok to take on the world when you are 3-0 up. There were 2 or 3 opportunities for him to cross the ball when we had 3 players in the box.
McCormack needs to get in the box s bit more it was as if he was playing a no 10 role at times but his link up work with Grealish for the run into the area 2nd half shows them two are miles above the others technically
Baker Chester Bunn outstanding
Hutton got caught a couple of times
Overall though a sloppy performance against a team who were playing there cup final and getting 3 points to go above the blues
Not sure who there no 16 was but he looked a very useful

Agree about the booing nick, abloke round by me said "booing really? Can't you tell there's 10,000 who haven't been in a few years"

I don't understand booing!
I don't see how it is motivating, inspiring or productive!
All it does is give an edge to the opponent!

Also, that was possibly the biggest game in burtons history. a massive derby in the highest league they have played in. Using an old cliche, a cup final for them. their players where up for it, ours wasn't!

It happens.
I'm just happy we got another 3 points with out playing well. as to be honest, we have played 20x better than that and got nothing.
The sign of a decent 'team' is to grind our results when playing poorly.

The same mentality obviously against Leeds and they beat us. But if we turn it on against them. we are back in the hunt big time!

One question though. why wasn't oasis played at the end?

Going back to booing
Not on really
I was chuffed to see 41000 + there and the same for Thursday against Leeds will be great
It would be good for the fair weather fans ( not literally) to turn up a bit more
Not being elitist or what special privileges for sitting there though O'Dreary Mcleish Garde De matto etc but we generally know who the boo boys are this season
The bloke at the bar who orders 4 pints at 2:45 for two people
The bloke with the girlfriend/ wife and she spends all game on her phone
Or the bloke who gives you and the rest of the stand a running commentary
Great to see Dr Xia sticking to his guns over Amarvi but 25 million with a follow on percentage clause is appetising
Not sure who would replace Amarvi but £25 million would go a long way
I wasn't impressed with Amarvi before injury last year . Have to admit he has impressed he this season
Imagine the fair weather fans judging Amarvi Jedinak and Gardener on there performance yesterday
And worse still in there eyes Ayew should start every week
