All these players leaving is fantastic but we need cover there are no attack minded players to change game on bench and we only have Baker as cover at back now lescott going richards going okore going great what club are doing really is but I now think we need this number 9 plus a cm cam cb as if we have injurys were gona struggle.

26 Aug 2016 23:25:09
There is not one addition or loss I could argue with so I am willing to assume RDM and Tony know what they are doing
Lescott and Richard going is no loss at all. If things were really desperate CIssokho and/ or Hutton could occupy a centre-half role.

27 Aug 2016 06:54:12
Tony just tweeted were close to a winger and attacking mid so we should have players to change the game soon. Defensively I agree, I think that's why toner has only been loaned out till Jan, when fitness and squad size comes into play he'll be coming back raring to go.

27 Aug 2016 07:21:37
Okores going to Copen ha gen according to morning paper.
Should we be losing a bright younger player?
Are we selling just to bring in funds?
He is quick and hard but struggled be not being used in a crap defence.
Elphick and Chester will be the main pair with Baker as ba ck up for either but not both.

27 Aug 2016 09:38:47
I don't agree, I think okore is poor, both on and off the field.
He, and the others we all know about, get gone at any cost.

I've said before and I'll say again, any player that refuses to wear the shirt, whether you agree with the reason or not, is a disgrace.

27 Aug 2016 10:37:12
Okore has been a massive disappointment to me. Looked like he had everything to succeed in the English game but always looked like everything was done frantically and at the last minute. Suggests thar regardless of pace over the ground, he was pretty slow in the head.

Just been speaking to a Arsenal fan at the pool bar (rubbing it in as you do) and reminising does anyone remember Billy's boots and the Safest hands in soccer in Roy of the Rovers?

What about "limp along Leslie" in the Wizard.
Bent the ball both ways in the early 50's.
Eat your heart out Becks.
Practiced by hitting the ball through hoops.

Yesss allyp forgot about him lol best Scottish striker apart from Andy Gray.

People are deluded if they think Danny Welbeck (A Current 1st Choice Eng Player) is available let alone dropping into the Championship to sign for us! Fair play for giving me a chuckle today though! Oh wait is it April Fools? Haha!

26 Aug 2016 17:04:23
If you found that so funny it sounds like you need to get out more?

Kevin Toner signs 2 year extension and heads on 5 month loan to Walsall. Would love to see him break into the team when he returns. Hope the loan spell goes well for him.

I'm sure I'm going get shot down for this but why don't we go for a cheeky bid for Joe Hart. He needs play each week and is great keeper. I know he probably won't want drop down the league but he wants play each week and won't even be on bench at city. so worth a ask surely.

26 Aug 2016 12:33:28
No Joe Hart is a good goalkeeper, not a great goalkeeper otherwise the current top teams in Europe would be falling over themselves.
Gollini has potential to be far better than Hart and albeit he has made some passing errors (which according to Pep is Hart's problem) will be far more beneficial for the cost.

26 Aug 2016 13:33:05
Cheeky name, reminds me of a real player!

26 Aug 2016 22:07:02
Joey hart has himself set for the scousers, looks like mignolet might be warming the bench if city grant joe his wish as a thank you for the years he's been there.

I agree with Mr. knowitall about enjoying our football now we have dropped down a league. We thought it was the end of the world when we went into the old 3rd. Division years ago but have happy memories of standing in a crowd of over 48,000 for a game against Bournemouth. A 3rd. Division record. Then the 1974-75 season in the 2nd
Divison was absolutely brilliant. We only lost one game at home and I was in a crowd of more than 57,000 for our final home game of that season. Great football. Fantastic atmosphere home and away. Does anyone remember our game at Blackpool that season when we took over the town for the weekend. Very happy days. Hope we can recreate it again this season.

26 Aug 2016 13:01:32
46000 for a home game against Walsall and everywhere we played was sold out.
I can see this season being similar with us and Newcastle in the mix.
However enjoyable us fans find it though we MUST get back to the PL ASAP.

I was in the black pool crowd that day along with my wife to be. it is a memory that stays with you if you were there - every other car on the M6 was flying claret and blue colours. Had some great times in Div.3.

Wigan are looking at hutton. can't see him getting a chance now we have de laet and bacuna.

26 Aug 2016 07:37:52
Amazing after Bacuna was blasted by so many poster last season.
Now rated better than Hutton!

26 Aug 2016 09:04:47
Not by everyone.

26 Aug 2016 10:35:08
I thought de laet was a lb?

26 Aug 2016 13:34:46
Some posters are hard to please.
