Reports saying Tottenham are willing to loan out Yedlin. Might be worth taking him on. Quick player. likes to get forward but better defensively than Bacuna in my opinion. Could give us more strength and depth at right-back without consuming funds that could be use on a striker.

100%, potentially a right sided Amavi, would probably cost a small loan fee freeing up cash for a decent striker, then I think our buisness would be done

Guys,

I don't know if I am a bit of a pessimist but when I looked at our first three games - away to a newly promoted team, always difficult as newly promoted teams are extra pumped up at the start of the season, home to United who always beat us, and then away to a solid Palace side - I thought we would get 1 point in total but we have 3!

So now Celtic are out of the champions league and van djik could be off to Southampton, I wonder whether we could resurrect interest in Fonte?! I have no insider knowledge just am desperate for another decent centre back, and think Fonte is much better option than lescott!

also I want to make a comment on mr joe bennett. when I saw him play in the 2012-2013 season I honestly thought he was the worst full-back I had even seen in BPL history and couldn't actually name a strength to his game. happy to see the back of him when he went out on loan, was very surprised that sherwood kept him considering all the dead wood being sold and very very surprised to see him being given the number 3 shirt especially seeing the arrival of amavi. might seem like I'm jumping on his wagon now he has scored but he seemed more of a "man" and more grown-up when playing tonight and sherwood must like him to keep him around especially when looking at his horrible record and performances for us. I think that we should play him at RB and see what he is about and give him another chance but in a different position.
thoughts?????

No. He's a left back so he needs to play as a left back. Be that a back up one. Why play him at rb then slate the guy if he does not cut it as trying to put round pegs in square holes. A big no no.

I know amavi is a left back but after seeing him play i think we could give him a go at rb, if you watch him most of the time he's using his right foot, whether its to control the ball, dribbling or passing it, only time I've seen him use his left is to cross it in after he's gone past a player using his right.

Just a thought as i know how dodgy bennett has been in past seasons, but i do rate bacuna i just think he's better elsewhere on the pitch other than rb

I wouldn't mind seeing Bennett tried as a left winger - he always looked reasonably good going forward, it was the defensive side of his game that wasn't great.

interesting game tonight and very happy that we have pulled the zulu's, been too long since a proper derby happened. (they are playing well which makes the tie even better)
good to see grealish having more influence on our play but I wanna see him start hitting some goals. his composure and control with the ball reminds me of david silva(I know it's a high comparison but he is just silk on the ball) but got the feeling he is a bit timid in front of goal and doesn't wanna take on the responsibly of shooting at net. love the bloke to pieces but do want him to march on now cause he is the key to whether this project will be successful - the catalyst

Well that's another hat-trick for Sinclair, and he's created very little for others when playing out wide so I'm in favour of giving him a run up front. Bring Grealish left and have Gil or Veretout in the number 10 role with Adama on the right. Have Gana and Sanchez sit deep to break up the play and cover the defence when Amavi and Bacuna get forward. Its got to be worth a shot, the lads proven he can finish.
