Anyone think that picture of Downing and Carrol with the liverpool scarf in a bar in Ibiza is real
Seen as they are on hol together there and ent it funny how 3 days later all of a sudden he's handing a transfer request in to Villa
And can anyone tell me why were bothering to chase players who say they wanna go Liverpool (Adam) and Newcastle (N'Zogbia) Personally i'd be looking at the youngsters from the under 21 euro's see who could be signed hey we need a Keeper what about Fielding he's only 20 and he'll be cheap

hi all is anyone else really starting to get worried about the situation at villa we had a very small squad last year and this has been decimated even more with the recent departures (13 in total so far and downing expected to follow shortly)but there aint no movment coming in and why would any half decent player want to come to us when we are selling our best players (again may i add)can any of you really see defoe, milner, samba, bendner, given, n zogbia and dann coming to us?
i feel we will be left to pick the bones of the transfer market with players like bothroyd green hitzlesperger
and so on even larsson turnd us down and he is s##t

We can't offer the same the high wages like other clubs that why we will miss out on players like given bendtner samba. we don't have a large transfer budget it seems to buy milner dann defoe. we will have to take a risk on players like bothroyd and see if they can play in the prem

In all fairness looking at who's gone the only Significant lose/loses are Young, Friedal (but he is getting old hopefully we don't replace him with Green), and maybe Downing as the rest are seen as over priced dead wood and hopefully heskey goes i'd also like to see Petrov replaced as his legs have gone and he's been a good servent

I can see Given coming as he hasn't played regular for 18 months so the team that signs him are effectively taking a risk and i see Villa getting one big name it won't be Bendtner or Milner
N'Zogbia and Samba have both pubically stated what teams they want out of the interested teams and Dann personally i feel R.Johnson is better than Dann and less than half the 15m asking price for Dann which is the stumbling block

Things are looking real good for us Villa fans now, Downing is apparantly set to hand in a transfer request to force through a move to Liverpool. Mcleish better start signing, there was a rumour he would be given 40m to work with, add the 17m from Young and the 15-18m for Downing if he goes, that's around 75m to get a good solid keeper, a winger or two and a better striker than Heskey, which im sure won't be hard to find.

Closer to 20-25mil given to mcleish. watford were given 3mil from young transfer and he won't be given all the rest. wouldn't be surprised if some of fee from downing goes to middlesborough which is why we are demanding 20mil. if downing goes mcleish will have 40-45mil to spend.

Around 1.5 million reportedly going to Watford But the Wage bill restrictions are the same for every club to attempt and cut the mega spending done by some clubs so that each club can't spend more than they earn each year and as Villa's wage bill was over our gate sales Villa are attempting to re-structure our pay sale to bring our wages in line with revenue

Waiting so long to sign fourth or fifth choice manager, means signing fourth or fifth choice players.Deep down Villa fans must know that the left-over brigade (Rob Green, Danny Simpson, etc) will come in alongside mediocre foreigners you have never heard of. It's going to be a long hard season for Big 'Eck- well hard for as long as it lasts. Shame because I have met him and he is a top bloke, just wrong club, wrong time. Too late to stop Downing etc moving an Young was always gone this time round.
