Surely a plan to take us down is outrageous! But as the weeks pass it seems more likely, we need the Club to state it's ambitions, however highly irregular that may seem. Enough is enough we need answers. AVFC TILL I DIE!

The plan is to go down, total clear out, knock our decrepit stadium down and start from scratch, maybe do a wolves and drop all the way the the old 4th division and start again, happens to Man City and look at them now, why not Villa?? Or does supreme arrogance think it impossible?

Well, it's clear where we are going and it's not pretty
We are the poorest top flight team I have seen since Derby came up a few years ago
Lerner has gambled on building a team from a much lauded youth system. This is going to cost the club £60 million quid with relegation.
Also, by throwing in a bunch of kids with no quality around them he has actually undermined their development and reduced the their market value dramatically (he's not done much for their careers either)
What's worse is, if this chairman stays, we will not come up again next year.
What amazes me is that Lerner is a Billionaire financier from a banking background yet he seems incapable of bringing any kind of finance into the club to fund the purchase of quality players ?
"Proud history, bright future"
That's only half right I'm afraid.

This is just getting from bad to worst now, out of both cups by 2 lower league clubs. i'm begining to think this is definatly a plan by lerner and lambert to take us down as low as they can get us. we all now, need to stop going down until something is sorted out, lets see what's said when they are playing in an empty stadium. lerner might then get the message we are all totally pi**ed off with it all.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Do you even suport the villa?? if you did i'm sure you wouldn't be suggesting hitting the club hard in the pocket whilst we are already struggling, have you ever heard of through think and thin, if your not PREPARED to do this maybe you should go support a manchester club!

come on you lions!!

Agree0 Disagree1

I like the sentiment but we are past that, I love this club but enough is enough.

Agree2 Disagree2

Boycotting the club is the worst thing that supporters could do.It would just provide an excuse for Lerner to cut back even further.
Lerner has abandoned the club financially because he doesn't love it. Doing the same shows you are as bad as he is !
We all need to back the club and show that it is a viable proposition for someone to want to buy it as I am sure that that is ultimately the end game for Lerner.
An empty stadium is not going to help us
Would you stop visiting your parents because they were in ill health and not much fun to be around ?

Now were out the FA cup to Millwall. Lambert is starting to make McLeish look like Pep Guardiola. As for the players, they should hang there heads in shame for the lack of fight and backbone and character they are showing. Fair play to Millwall, they outplayed us, but we can't go on like this-its heartbreaking. Maybe just a job to most of the players and the manger but Villa is a way of life to some of us and its soul destroying to see how we have gone down the pan since O'Neil left. Players have no fight, manager honestly seems out of his depth and a billionaire who has deep pockets and short arms. Us fans will follow Villa to our last breath, but to be honest the goodwill from us people who buy tickets and merchandise is running out.

I can't belive how Villas fortunes have worked out this season, as a Norwich fan I am loving seeing £ambet fail....I just can't belive he is failing, when he left for Villa I honestly thought you would be easily looking at a top half finish and back in europe within a few years...I feel Lambert is one of those managers who can't handle big egoes and big earners, he has had 20million to spend, he was like a kid in a sweet shop with that kind of money.
He had about 6 million to spend at Norwich so he spent wisely.
At Norwich he had players all on roughly the same money, no big eagoes, they were a squad who worked for each other and the manager.
How things can change in football, he may still turn things around at Villa but if not, at least he is proven in the championship if only for one season.

Is there any chance in recalling the fonz because he is doing extremely well as a lw in their 4-3-3 formation and he could be like a new signing at lw in our 4-2-3-1 formation. Put nzogbia on the right. Use agbonlahor as an impact sub on either wing. Ireland in the hole. We have really missed Gary Gardner this year:(

Believable1 Unbelievable4

I agree bringing delfounso back bu tnot ireland in the hole put nzogbia there

Agree0 Disagree2

The Fonz is, and never will be good enough for the perm. Upfront is actually the strongest part of the team
Can you imagine what we would be like with Benteke and Weiman infront of a midfield of Barry, Milner, Downing and Young ?

Unfortunatly I believe this season will be where Villa leave the Premiership. Rebuilding and planning for the championship began last summer. If we go down then most likely we would be on TV every other week, like Newcastle. Then win promotion for a cash injection of about 90 million. Big gamble for Lerner

Believable3 Unbelievable0

At the risk of raining on Lerner's parade, I must say that this current squad of players will struggle to get out of the Championship at the first attempt.

The need for some steel in the middle of the park will be just, if not even more, important. Relegation will inevitably mean that the better players will look at their options with other clubs and the likes of Bent, Ireland & Co will not like playing at that level.

Statistics prove that not to many teams come straight back and those that do have a squad peppered with experienced players, do we ?

Agree2 Disagree0

So Ireland provides steel in the middle does he ?
When we go down, Ireland is exactly the type of player we will be lumbered with mate
No Prem side would come in for an overrated, lazy, person like that and pay him the kind of salary we pay him

Agree1 Disagree1

Haha,,,, you are going to do a Leeds, lumbered with your big time Charlie prima Donna players who you lauded when you signed them, down in the championship and having to pay them their massive salaries, nobody will want to sign them, they will bleed your finances dry. A mismanaged club on and off the field with over rated and under performing players.........lol
