Guzan out. Distibution is so slow and hesitant. He was basicaly standing on the post for the free kick. I knew it would go in! Never been a huge fan, was happier with given in goal for the cup run last year. Would rather see gil in gabbies place. Ayew looked sharp. ish todayand him scoring was a big positive!
Weve been bad past few games at home but i can honestly say i don't dred going k4 like i did under lambert.
Really want tim to do well.
I get the impression there's a lot of shhhht going on behind closed doors. What could be worse for a passionate manager like tim to have an owner that doesn't give a shhhht about the club.
Lerner out

Beware- Rant coming up :

Sunderland haven't lost in the league to Newcastle since 2011. If he gets a result tomorrow, then Big Sam may well cement himself as 'the Savior' and have the majority of fans right behind the club, unlike ourselves. We will then, of course be propping up the league. From the passion forthcoming from this site, it is clear we are all behind the team, just not behind the clueless and rudderless management hierarchy. Whilst ultimate control is with Lerner and the club is up for sale, I don't think any change of management will solve the problem. We need to face the fact that our problem is that we need either A) owners that really just care about investing in the club such that it returns a profit to them and much PR (see Man City for details), or B) - Someone local (a-la Doug) who cares about the people, the region and the club with, ultimately, the success of the club being paramount. Sir Peter Rigby springs to mind, - Birmingham-based and formerly had boxes at VP, built the multi-billion SCC brand across Europe, Responsible for Millennium Point etc, - who has invested his whole business life in Brum and been fantastically successful. Why do we need overseas billionaires to invest in the club when we have our own in the City. I suppose the answer is that they need to be willing to step up and make the investment .

I really wanted Tim given till December! I was hinging some of this on us not disgracing ourselves at CFC and getting a first home win in the league against Swansea. First part came off but today was so so sad to watch. So little confidence and creativity again. Only positive was Jordan Ayew showing another glimpse of things to come from him.
It is so desperate for the club and I agree with all the comments about rotten at the top and club in chaotic free fall!
What more can Tim do than what he is already doing? A win would have perhaps stabilised the formation tinkering and would have bred confidence in keeping with a winning side.
As we lost again my give him till December is a real doubt in whether he really can do anything more? Perhaps it is time? It is all so sad as we are such a great club and he is a decent enough bloke given so little time and so little public support from the board! UTV.

I agree to an extent, yes he is a decent bloke, but does a cockney swagger, and wink of the eye mean he is a motivator?

This constant changing of the team is both demoralising and self destructive, why is amavi dropped? How can worf get in before Clarke, and to be honest, if Clarke is injured, I would rather see Sanchez there, and worf has been a disgrace to his profession since his arrival.

How, when let's be honest it's a win at all costs, can you drop Gil? Or play bacunna the tip of a diamond? Why when we need goals so badly, with in his opinion we have the best header of a ball ever, we can't cross a ball?!

He is tactically inept, has lost the dressing room, and from my point the fans as well. His last saving grace was the press loved him. I say loved, as they are seeing through his contradictory comments.

He needs a three wheeler yellow van, and some DVDs to sell at a market, make a few quid, us all laugh, and we go home happy. He is not equipped to manage any club, let alone ours.
Can see why EVERY spurs fan wanted rid.

And I was his biggest fan a few weeks back.

Good bye Timmy good bye. ---Ruby Murray 1954.
How did she know?
Heaven help us if they give a job to Wilkins, we will have to put the posts somewhere near the halfway line.
Could be bottom after SAFC play, what a dreadful situation we are in.
The entire club is in disarray not just on the pitch and unless Lerner can get someone, anyone, then the future is not looking good. I hope the board do the right thing and go along with Sherwood.

Time as a club we stood up, looked ourselves in the mirror and realised some home truths.

We are not a big club anymore
We do not have a God given right to be in this league
We are the poorest team in prem since Derby

All these things are because of one man, 'our saviour' mr Lerner.
He has totally destroyed this great club, we are not only becoming the whipping boys, but have become a laughing stock.

Why does mr Lerner think we can be treated this way? Does he seriously think we can stand by and watch him destroy a generations dream? He is asset stripping, and making us a second rate, club, and I'm not only talking about the playing staff.

Sherwood, sadly, has got to go, and now. I personally thank him for the close to last season, although I do think it was the change of a manager rather than the man. However, you sadly are showing your self to be out of depth, tactically naive, and sadly unable to motivate, the players, or us fans. He has started to contradict himself in interviews, and making himself, and us look stupid.

We need a man manager, someone to lead, both on, and off the field. We need a tactician, a man who has lifted a similar club from a similar plight. We need David moyes. And we need him now.

We are toothless, spineless, leaderless, we are sinking fast, and are seriously close to death.
If we fall out this league, we have close to zero chance of getting out the championship.

I'll say two last points. Portsmouth, and Leeds.

Show us you put the club first mr Lerner, show us you actually support the team, respect us fans, show us you haven't turned your back on us, cut us adrift and are watching us sink from a far.
Show us your a man, and can make the grown up decisions.
Do it now before its to late

Agbonlahor straight back into the starting lineup. Guys, am I seeing this right? Is it just me? Ayew over Traore? Richardson over Amavi. I just do not get it?!

I get it. Sherwood isn't motivated anymore. We need Laudrup fast. I believe that Laudrup will be the saviour of the club. He is the right manager out there.100 %.
