Flakie, spoken like the a true Villan. I just can't understand what people expect, we can already see players starting to fit in. Look at Rudy last night, scored that goal & was a compleatly different player. As Flackie says TS & the players deserve time, and as true supporters we should give it them .After 50+ years of supporting, l honestly think the fans today are more are more impatient than ever keep the faith

I have stayed away from these pages for a few weeks, as to be honest, I find the inability of some to engage brain so frustrating, to be calling for the managers head, after 6 games, is beyond me.
I don't think for one second that mr sherwood is tearing up trees, or setting the world alight, but. For over 4 years our club has been on free fall, nothing worse than last season, he came, steadied the ship, changed the whole ethos of the entire club, got us to Wembley, and kept our top flight status.
All this with very average players.
He came to us, when many wouldn't touch us with a barge pole, putting his own neck on the line, as his first proper job.
For these facts alone, we owe him time.
Then, he acknowledged the obvious elephant in the room that the playing staff needed a total shake up, and brings in 12 new signings, on top of that, his captain stabs him in the back, and his talisman striker leaves.
Now us as fans should be behind him, supporting him, and these new signings, helping to mould them to create a new team and force.
Do we??? Mostly yes.
However, to boo?? How will that motivate, to come on here saying sherwood out, he's out his depth, and I heard yesterday, destroying our club(!!) is an insult.

Yes we need to improve, yes results need to start to come, and yes points make prizes. But we should do this together, we deserve better, but so does Tim sherwood, and his players.

Also. I'm not, as most of us know, not gabbys biggest fan, but. Was not his fault that first half, he was the only player actually trying in that first 45. Commander worf was outrageous. Also gabby against the baggies was the only shining light. Give him a break!!

Totally agree Flackie. Well, nearly totally. I really think now we have to think beyond Gabby. He's just not presenting a goal threat

Hi Flackie.
I agree with everything you have said mate, except for the last bit.
Yes I would give Gabby a break, on the bench for a few weeks mate, he is a spent force in a Villa shirt.

I do agree that gabby is a spent force, and should be dropped, but he was our best player vs west Brom, in my opinion!!
And people blaming him for the first halve against them, just isn't fair! Julian was the weak link for me!

But all that is a side line!! This negativity towards everything villa is infectious. And I detest it.
Also the lack of patience in 'fans' is laughable.
Villa park USED to be a fortress, but now we boo our own players!! I bet our own players don't want to try anything, as if it doesn't work we come down on them more than the opposition!

To boo them off at half time against that lot was a disgrace.
Yes it was a poor showing, no we didn't score, yes it was scrappy. Losing? No. out the game? No. Demoralise our own players? Yes. Play in to Brums hands? Yes!
A perm side would of destroyed us second half, as we were already beaten!

But hey ho!
We won't win anything when we don't stand together

Correct Flackie. Perhaps we need to temporarily change the signage from 'Holte End – The 12th Man' to 'Holte End – 13,472 Whinging Men', although I know it’s not everybody.

The signs of improvement, though not everywhere, were evident against BCFC on Tuesday and we weren’t playing a team of Muppets (that's just the supporters) , they’re actually only 10 places below us. Perhaps those already clamouring for a replacement manager will rapidly fall silent once McClaren comes on the market shortly – as he surely will.
