No one knows anything for sure until it's done and we are told. Any new owner must come into this realising that there new investment needs big investment to take us back up the table and away from the scraps of last few seasons. I still believe it to be a Chinese guy called wang jianlin who is worth about 25 billion but I have nothing concrete on this and is just speculation until something is concrete.

Think about this why would you want to leave villa now right with a new owner on the horizon an rumoured to be spending mega big at villa don't you think benteke vlaar want to c wot the ambitions r of new owers first because just say new owners want villa to be like city mcity now that finace play has been lifted villa would b going in right direction so we could keep r best players an be in for best players in world or europe does any one agree

Nice in theory but that's just it. Nothing is confirmed. Plus even if new owners come in they aren't just going to double all the players wages just to stop them leaving. Why would someone like Vlaar take the risk of a takeover not happening if he has the option to move to Man U and is guaranteed a pay rise. I would have thought the level of uncertainty would encourage players to bail out now in case it all goes south and they end up stuck. Not saying it will or won't happen but the possibility is definitely there. The quicker the takeover is finalised the less likely players are to go, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

Another picture of Jack Grealish has surfaced showing him drinking from a 6 litre bottle of vodka - are these recurring incidents something to be worried about? It wouldn't surprise me if they keep being leaked out by the Irish media because he wouldn't play for them against England.

{Ed007's Note - Or leaked by the English media to turn the public against him because he is going to pick playing for Eire. The Scottish press done the same - and continue doing the same - with Aiden McGeady and James McCarthy.
He's a young rich lad on holiday, Andy, I don't see what he's doing wrong apart from the old boring PC bull about him being an example to youngsters etc etc.}

Let them try and create this poor opinion of him!!
If the club and us villa fans stand by him, support him and appreciate what he is, he wouldn't ever leave us, and would continue to give us everything.
Screw everyone out side the villa bubble.

{Ed007's Note - Well said mate.}

Personally I think what he does in his private life is his business and not the media's, the fans or the clubs concern - unless it starts affecting what he does on the pitch. If that's the case then the fans will turn on him and the club will discipline him. At the end of the day he's a 19 year old with a lot of money - what do people expect him to do with it!

Re-reading my original comment I think it came across a little unfair on the Irish media, but Ed tidied it up nicely. There is obviously some faction of the media that has an issue with the lad and is playing out some sort of agenda.

23 Jun 2015 17:39:49 Stop him being a young lad, seeing his mates, and actually living the dream and we would lose him. Let his football do the talking, if it starts affecting that, so be it, till then??. Have fun jack! All I say is, nothing illegal! And be safe!

It seems that Grealish is being hung out to dry for doing what nearly everyone I work with (of all ages) tend to brag and talk constantly about as if it were original, funny or even interesting.
The irony is, I then hear them saying what an idiot Grealish is.
Staggering amount of double standards
I don't read tabloids, so I don't know the minutiae. But, If his behaviour is wrong, then it's wrong for everyone.
As for the role model for kids argument ? If you have kids and you're not a bigger role model to then than some 19 year old footballer, you need a parenting course.

My main concern is that it might affect Jacks confidence on the pitch and hinder his development if he has the media constantly in his mind. Hopefully he can rise above it and Sherwood can keep him on the straight and narrow until the media loses interest.

Thanks ed!!
I think that's exactly the concern Andy.
But I also think in Tim we have exactly that.
But as long as us as villa supporters stand by him, with a united front he will be fine!
He needs to know there is a line not to cross, but in the sane instance, he needs to be a normal 19 year old.
