Henry played for Barcelona under Pep Guardiola they played short passing great football. He played under Wenger at Arsenal again playing amazing football so if he joins Aston Villa surely he knows that great style and can make us great. I must admit it would make a change from Bruces kick and rush football.

My only concern over this exciting football under a player like Henry you only have to look at Zola when he was a manager?
It does not all work out .

Thierry Henry was no doubt a great player, is he a great manager? with no experience who knows but you wouldn't bring in a carpenter to do the electricians job, so why bring in a football player to do the managers job? Bruce may not be the man for the job in some people's eyes but replacing him with a novice is beyond risky.

Totally agree on Henry, he is a massive risk, certainly a "sexy" name in world football but what would he bring bar the unknown - He could be a total success but Villa don't need to gamble, they need to find a manager that can work with our current squad and help develop our young stars.
To borrow your analogy - You wouldn't ask a taxi driver to replace the engine on your car? For me Bruce is a man manager, and a very accomplished one, but Villa need a mechanic, somebody who can work with and fine turn the squad.

I agree with you both, I can’t honestly see Brucie going at the moment . whether you like him or not, Brucie seems to have a good understanding going with the team and they do appear to like him . We have had enough disruption, give Bruce half a season, to see how we start .
The new owners and DrT, will have a lot of other important decisions to sort out . Also how much would it cost, to ship out Brucie and his staff and then bring new manager + staff . Liked the statement, that any players going won’t be on the cheap, would rather Jack and didn’t go .
Same as everybody else, I can’t wait for the meeting tomorrow and perhaps more information being released .

You can say that Henry has no experience but on the flip side we have a manager with vast experience with the largest wage bill and the biggest squad and he couldn’t get us promoted so I don’t see it as a risk.

I think the matter of paying off bruce and all his backroom staff is not going to worry these 2 owners i reckon.
