As a Villa fan i think we just gave Norwich the best Xmas present ever. I hope you Canaries enjoyed the shocking performance today and the look on Lambert face at the final whistle. If that wasn't a wake up call to Lambert nothing will be, he really needs to buy some quality come January. I would say we had one positive Guzan saved a penalty so it wasn't 9-0. :)
Merry Xmas Villa Fans lets pray for a better year in 2013

As a Norwich fan I chuffed to see you get spanked.....But as a true football fan I have to say your keeper is one of the best in the prem, without him you would no doubt be in a lower position than you are, some of the saves he has made over the season so far have been world class...although you shipped an emb arising EIGHT goals today I don't think your keeper was at fault for any of them?

Agree6 Disagree1

I agree watching you get creamed was fantastic but I still thought Guzan did a great job despite the rest of the team who were terrible

Agree4 Disagree0

I am a NCFC fan, I will comment on the 26th when we have pleyed them, CHELSEA............

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be very surprise if they score 8 in a game again this season i don't think NCFC fans need to worry to much, even if you do it's not like we can take the piss :) I think you Canaries have hit the nail on the head, if we didn't have Guzan i reckon we could well be bottom. It's going to be a long season and I hope we make it out alive.

Agree1 Disagree1

I would rather loose 8 0 every game than support norwich get back to your cook books persons.

Agree3 Disagree2

As a Norwich fan I hold no personal grudge towards the fans, My gripe is with your boardroom tacticts, It was very evident on the last match of the season that he had been tapped up,And he wouldn't admit it to the fans, If he had, then he would have got a Hero's send off and we would have wished him well, But now,especially after his celebrations of the goals in the MM/CUP he has lost all credability he had, and every Norwich fan where ever they are will be wishing for religation for the Villa, which looks on the cards this season

Why is Lambert obsessed with signing unknown championship/lower league players? It's hardly working at the moment!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He is out of his depth ,why cant people see it

Agree0 Disagree1

Hi lads, a Celtic fan here. I just thought I would pop on and see your reaction to yesterday's game. I can see by the page it is a bit of a mixed bag and the obvious Norwich fans, why are they so angry PL left them if he is as bad a manager as they are making out, surely they should be happy to get rid of him? Or is that too much sensible thinking for them?
Anyway I certainly hope that you give PL enough time to turn things round, anyone who has seen him play knows how intelligent he is regarding the game and I think the fact he done his coaching badges in Germany gives him a more continental or modern approach to the game.
I have no doubt that you will manage to stay in the EPL and that Lambert will build on that next season, give it 1/2 years and I have no doubt that AV will be playing in Europe.
Merry Christmas lads and have a great New Year.

Agree1 Disagree0

To the Celtic fan, We at Norwich loved PL we did not like the way he left us very underhand,proof ( they villa ) now have to pay us agreed this week, so if you nik managers from other clubs you deserve what you get, we like Lambert but not Villa. {Ed007's Note - Really? So why did you post this on another thread?

"Agree sack him ASAP bring in Bruce from Hull."

Why would you want someone you like sacked? Stop trolling, I am fed up deleting your childish posts, or you will be banned.}

I feel that we might of been relegated today, worse performance from a Villa team in my 22 years as a supporter. It will take a long time for that young team to recover. Tottenham next and we won't get anything from that and then Wigan who on paper have a better side. Absolute disgrace!!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Funny how you get spanked and now Lambert is to blame, when you beat Norwich and Liverpool he was the God, you Villa fans don't know the meaning of the word.. For Norwich fans he was a God as, he took us from our lowest level in league 1 to mid table in the Prem over 3 fantastic seasons. As much as PL achieved at Norwich he never proved himself as a Premiership Manager, I am not gutted that he left, just the way he left, if he had been man enough to say he was leaving, and that he thought he had taken NCFC as far as he could myself and 26,000 other fans would have clapped him of the park on the last day of the season and wished him well¦¦.Instead he chose to lie and deceive, he had no hero's farewell which he deserved, so it's days like today (CHELSEA 8 VILLA 0) I and 26,000 other Norwich fans think, HOPE THE GRASS IS GREENER MR LAMBERT¦¦.

Agree7 Disagree0

In my opinion Paul Lambert owed Norwich City another year, he took us from our lowest point to mid table prem, but for me he never finished the job, if he had stayed and finished what he started and managed to keep NCFC in the prem he would have been hailed as a true legend¦Instead he may well be known as the Judas who jumped ship for the BIG TIME and finished up getting relegated and loosing his job anyway¦¦.Lambert could have stayed with Norwich and got relegated and still be a legend¦
Thanks for all you did for us PL be we now have a committed non mercenary manager in Chris Hughton, the excitement levels have dropped but the consistency has upped..I belive CH is a better Manager who is here for the long haul¦.I am over the bitterness now but as sad as it is I would still love to see Villa fail¦.True Yellllllllloooooowwwwwwww.

i hard day in the office today, the young lions have learnt a hard lesson and have came down to earth with a thud, spurs next so the young lions will have a few experianced older players in the ranks to try to steady the ship, january will see a few more experianced players leaving and coming in with 1/2 young stronger players heading in to help lightweight bannan and co out

out:
given (celtic)
hutton (anyone foolish enough)
bent (QPR)
in:
derek boateng (dnipro £4m)
deeney (watford £1.5m)

Believable5 Unbelievable0

It's not Lamberts fault, if your players are crap and big heads after the win at pool !! men and boys.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hello Villa fans you are very quiet today Any thing wrong ? LOL

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed why the hell are you letting these persons post insulting messages its bad enough loosing like that, but to then read these comments, is making the pain worse. {Ed001's Note - it is what you have to take when you lose, it is called banter. Perhaps you might want to either man up or avoid a banter page if you haven't got the bottle for it?}

Agree6 Disagree0

Awe poor Villa fan, likes to give it but can't take it. Us nasty people teasing you because you've been humiliated in front of the nation. Now go and put your toys back in your cot.

Agree2 Disagree0

Well said Ed, if you give it you have to take it.

Agree3 Disagree0

Well said Ed, after beating Norwich and Liverpool we all had to read your comments, now you have got to read ours, with Spurs and Wigan up next if you can't take the heat I sugges you don't look at this page again until the new year.....

Agree3 Disagree0

Theres a big difference between banter and taking the piss have a day off ed if you can't tell the difference. {Ed001's Note - there is no difference! You really need to grow up a bit.}

Agree4 Disagree0

You must be the best Ed in the football world, Kiss kiss from the rest of the prem fans. {Ed001's Note - we all have to take it the stick as well as give it. It sucks when you lose, but it is oh so worth it when you win!}

Not ganna say these are lamberts targets but my own recommendations.

Sell Bent 12-14 mill
Sell Ireland 4 mill (if he doesnt improve)

Buy Ince 8 mill (that blackpool supposively want) as we need a creative player who can also play wing and give us width.

That leaves 8-10 mill if we sell ireland if not 4-8 mill. Then buy a proven goalscorer for when weimann or benteke lose form.

Many people would say Austin for 8 mill from burnley. But if we could get either bony from vitesse in dutch league or that lad from heereven for 8 mill or less, I would say go for it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ince looks more likely after his comments in the paper that he doesnt want to be a bit part player where ever he goes in jan pl can offer him 1st team football in a young exciting team on the up

Agree0 Disagree0

8-0 on the up, Ha ha, must go and chang my pants just wet them.
