Brad Guzan to turn his back on relegated villa for a move to MLS. There is a god. Thank you.

23 may 2016 01:23:25
i remember when i 1st seen brad guzan it was sunderland away save 2 1 one 1s and also saved 4 pens it was obv a cup game 1 season best gk in the prem 2 worst gk in the prem what happend i don't know but hopfully these will look up for us now know hard feelings brad but we knew to move on. go and get the cardiff gk.

23 May 2016 06:49:35
Nothing new here, he turned his back on most things all season.

23 May 2016 12:41:48
I think he would of done a job in the championship, just another job to add to the list for the incoming manager.

22 May 2016 20:59:47
So now Moyes is favourite. I'm giving up on looking at the odds, first it was Moyes, then they were super confident it was Pearson, then they were super confident it was Di Matteo, now they're sure it's Moyes again!

22 May 2016 22:26:24
Think this time the bookies have it correct. Moyes was 20/1 on Thursday and now he is 10/11! It's a done deal if you ask me.

22 may 2016 19:26:23
well looks like moyes going to our manager 4 5 1 here we come not my 1st choice but an idiot could get aston villa out the championship with 50 million and some of these players at his disposal. aston villa and newcastle should walk that league its really crap. blues don't even have a proper owner and make do with frees and loans and they come top half! mr. moyes, you have my full backing and support but i still like pearson!

22 May 2016 20:40:41
I totally disagree with mist of what you have said here!
All accept he has our backing!

22 May 2016 20:51:27
Here we go again, Mr know it all, how can you come out with a statement like that . Everybody who is anybody in football will tell you that this is a very hard league to get out of. But you reckon an idiot with £50m can do it because you say it's a crap league.

Now I know that this is a positive post off you but it's delusional. To start off from where we are at the moment; no manager, no team to speak of, £50m or not it's going to be hard . We will have to play our part, filling the ground and shouting them on. Villa forever.

22 May 2016 22:11:10
I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with the appointment of moyes. Give me 5 good solid reasons why you would choose a pig headed bully in pearson over moyes. sorry don't understand! Anyone care to expain?

22 May 2016 22:29:21
Nigel Pearson has got his team promoted to the premiership, moyes never has. we need a bully quite frankly this team has took the mick last year and there was nobody strong enough to sort them out.

moyes is ok, don't get me wrong but is he attacking enough? 4-5-1 is hard to beat. fine for the premier league, but the championship you have to attack it!

22 May 2016 23:08:28
Cutting to the elephant in the room - Pearson is completely radio-rental and an embarrassing loose cannon. Moyes isn't.

22 May 2016 23:28:43
Moyes everton team wasnt exactly boring 4.5.1 or not he still got everton in europe season after season. Also did well with preston. Seems a good fit to me. Ok pearson got leicester promoted. Granted. Apart from his 9 game unbeaten run or whatever it was. he's not done a lot else. I think moyes is just what villa need now. Can I just add aswell ferguson seen something in him. So that's good enough for me. ;-)

22 May 2016 23:46:21
Come on mr know it all
Are you trying to get a reaction or what
Next year will be the hardest since 1874
Forgot Graham Taylor he worked miracles

This is no joke
We have one season to get back up otherwise we will be another Blues
Stuck in a league
Don't be so stupid
Hard work from day one.

23 May 2016 00:25:21
Just a quick point about a manager who needs the limelight, apart from old school managers, the younger generation love the linelight, mourinho for example, but your right in principle flackie; these are strange times.

23 May 2016 00:27:07
Well said Flackie. I'm sure it's no coincidence that, despite his self-appointed delusional macho image, the most appropriate anagram of the mans name would seem to be 'No Large Penis'

22 May 2016 23:49:26
Ay ay, i think alladyce is the perfect candidate we should have got, has the nouse to work the players so they'want'to crack on, and enough of a presence (literally) you wouldn't want to cross him, but unless a miracle happens its pearson or moyes, agree with Davedean82;you take liberty in this league you get slapped down, our players have been molycoddled;we're going to be playing 2,sometimes 3 times a week, we got to not only be physically fit, but mentally fit, i make norwich and newcastle the main two to worry about, and don't under estimate the blue noses, have we learned nothing from the past?

22 May 2016 18:52:21
You will find a different story about us in all the papers. I am not paying too much attention to any of it. I think everything is in place and I will just wait for the official announcement from the club. Don't panic Villa fans. Exciting times are ahead.

22 May 2016 19:18:27
Anybody reading and believing any paper is being a bit silly. not 1 single tabloid ever mentioned tony xia name prior to last Wednesday evening. proving they have no idea about anything villa related. its laughable that people are reading negative things about him now and jumping on the negative bandwagon. why all of a sudden have the papers got it right. They have no clue.

22 May 2016 17:49:39
Just watched the Villa kids on youtube, winning the Hong Kong 7s tournament. Brilliant, seeing as they lost their only keeper in the first few minutes, the young kid who took over in goal, did great seeing as he wasnt a keeper. Some of these kids, must be given their chance next season . First bit of silverware to start us off . Mckirdy, Hepburn Murphy and Abdo, all look the part, well done the kids . Villa forever.

22 May 2016 16:00:32
I'm hearing rumours that this ex everton guy that will be our new ceo I forget his name has convinced david moyes to join us and that we should here by Friday as we are hanging back till owner has past tests. interesting as I thought we would go with Pearson myself.

22 May 2016 20:58:15
Do you mean David Wyness?

22 May 2016 22:02:37
yes him lol.

22 May 2016 02:44:48
Daily Mail have write up on Tony Xia
goo.gl/J4SkoW

22 May 2016 15:13:34
He is the real deal!

22 May 2016 15:16:44
Look we will never really know exactly how he got his money as long as he is backed by the government we are good and he stays true to his word we could be competing for the Prem in 5 years rather be in this situation than the one we was in every season 😬😬😬😬😬.

22 May 2016 17:15:26
here here chunkryan.

22 May 2016 18:19:36
Totally agree chunkryan! Through to my bones I have an aire of optimism and excitement of where we could be taken short term and long term! Not every decision will we like nor will be successful but we are now in a position to move forwards and upwards.

If sale had failed we would have struggled with getting a new manager and would have been left right in the proverbial! We could have well done a double drop and of course still could but with Dr Tony and hopefully Moyes we will have a great chance of straight return playoffs at least VTID.

22 May 2016 10:49:15
Have just read the latest daily mail interview with dr Tony, I honestly believe this man is no fake . He says his first business was in America, started with his old professor from university. He is in the process of buying a logistics company, in America for 3.5 billion . People who are putting all this negativity on here, go read this interview . Mr. know. it. all you like reading, read something positive, instead of negative . let's get back on the happy trail again, because it could be the ride of our lives with this man . Onwards &Upwards Villa forever.

22 May 2016 11:22:30
have any of you guys read the posts on small heath alliances forum page

apparantly the knuckle dragging idiots think they have the whole thing worked out and their guy who works in mcdonalds by day is actually a financial wizard, makes for entertaining reading.

22 May 2016 14:56:20
I want to believe good things about Xia and I refuse to judge him until we see who we sppoint as manager and who we buy. However, I won't be using the Daily Mail as a source of truth on the matter.

22 May 2016 16:14:18
Hi Mendax, how do you feel about the telegraph?
They have a page about Xia and they are non to complementary about him.
Not on the Chinese version of Forbes and no records of him at Havant.

22 May 2016 15:28:04
Small Heath, Small Football Club, Small Stadium, Small Fan Base with Small Minds is all I have to say!

22 May 2016 18:03:01
Telegraph not much better or more reliable than the Mail Oldvillain. I don't worry too much at him not being on Forbes. The wealthy are more preoccupied with concealing their wealth than anything else these days (as Panama papers demonstrated)

22 May 2016 18:28:30
Always hilarious to see SHA revel in our misfortunes! What to them is business as usual is huge to our great club and nationally all have taken note that a club of our stature has dropped into the league that SHA call home! When they drop as the often do its a case oh again lol.

It must be such a cold and dark place remaining in the shadow of such a giant even when that giant is injured! They must now know there is a Doctor on the way to treat and recover the giant while their minnow of a club carries on calling out for a buyer! UTV.

22 May 2016 10:39:57
Lads I was at the Arsenal, Villa game, If your team put as much effort in as your fans you will be back very soon.
It made my day to see you lot singing like you did.
A credit to any away fans.
Get behind the new man and good things will follow.

22 May 2016 10:48:32
Thank you!
Watch this space, very soon you can have prawn crackers at half time in prem!

Good luck to you guys next season!

22 May 2016 18:32:56
Cheers welshgooner, everywhere we went we were a credit to the name of Aston Villa regardless of the dross served up. Really liked Remi but right man at wrong time! Could see him taking over in years to come at your place once he had carried on learning his craft perhaps abroad!

22 May 2016 08:28:55
So many so called villa fans now spreading negativity about new owners man give him a chance and if he's full of bull and has now cash surely the fa and league will weed him out.

22 May 2016 08:19:57
The chosen one has gone but what is still on the table?
Di Matteo
Van Gall
Pellegrino
Koeman
De Boer
Pearson
Moyes
O'Neil
So on and on.
Perhaps in true Chinese style it will be a complete surprise.
There are so many "international" managers currently out of work and others whose contracts finish very soon and this means Dr T will have a big list. Unless of course he has got DiM already on board.

22 May 2016 04:39:38
Apparently our 'new'owner will grace us with his presence (once he gets through the assault course set up by the f. a. ) for the first home game of tbe season, seems not only did he fall in love with aston villa while at oxford but also british pop music, yeah, apparently he loves an old eighties band called bucks fizz, hence the new anthem he wants us to adopt and sing is their song"The Land of Make Believe", quiet appropriate don't you think!

22 May 2016 07:52:43
If Tim S was still in charge Makin your Mind up would be the Bucks Fizz song! Seriously as a Sabbath fan have always wanted Symptom of the Universe start! Local Band, Villa Fans etc!

22 May 2016 08:09:10
Paranoid would fit the bill!,

22 May 2016 08:47:21
I have never doubted this guy!
But know you did classof82, what have you seen, and where to change your mind?
I can't find a new interview, with him or anyone!

22 May 2016 09:08:24
Apologies apologies apologies gentleman, what i did there with my previous post was pour out a little gallows humours (yes, yes, in bad taste) but the voices told me too! i can't help it, its what got us through 2 world wars, the wildcat strikes of the seventies, the thatcher (that bloody milk snatcher) years of the eighties and nineties (old 'phoney tony' was a blue with a small 'c'), and now with the corporate globalization of our economies we'll need it even more! as for an interview, he's given one to sportsmail where he details 8 points he wants to act upon, i'll see if i can find it again and get back, those damn voices!

22 May 2016 09:14:12
Right chaps metro. co. uk has the article on their website, to me it looks like its been cobbled together from other press releases, but at the end you can take part in a poll, i think flackie, you and the boys will be pleased with how the numbers stack up!

22 May 2016 09:46:59
Haha! Thanks man!
I have read that now! I think he is the real deal! The numbers stack up, if how you get to them don't! But I'm afraid that's what happens from corrupt states, (Russia being prime example! )
The point on the biggest single investment from their main land says it all to me! These guys don't know how to fail. And if it was to start to, I don't think the Chinese government would allow it to, to keep their pride.

The eight points he makes would be incredible!
I thinking nothing else, this next season will be one hell of a ride! Strap your self in!

22 May 2016 09:51:07
A few more villa songs!

Good byeeee - Randy Lerner
Mr Bojangles - BFR
I predict a riot - John Gregory
you ain't seen nothing yet! - Dr Tony
Doctor Doctor (UFO) - Dr Jo Venglos
My way - Deadly Doug
Help from my friends - Remi Guarde (no help but from Mr Venga)
Go now - Paddy O

Perhaps if get Pearson he can share John Gregory's song!

22 May 2016 05:43:47
I like his taste in football better than his taste in music Lol.

22 may 2016 02:48:34
just as i brought you new that xia is a bit dodgy yesturday its mad reading his latest interview his loaded like propa rich hopfully all is ok because we could have a very rich billionare on our hands his 40 so he prob has bin a bit aruther dailey in his time but if they let him in we should have a great chairman on our hands i would just like to thank randy lerner so it didn't work out but we go again.

22 May 2016 10:24:07
This guy is the real deal mate, incredible wealth, with Chinese government backing!
It's going to be interesting!

22 May 2016 04:16:41
I think your right mr.know.it.all, every sports journalist in the UK would have spent yesterday digging around to sink this guy and not one of them has been able to come up with anything else to suggest that he is not fit and proper. I therefore expect things to quieten down a little now. The future is bright I'm thinking :-)
