Just consider: last four transfer windows have been extremely frustrating. Hardly any money spent, loans and lower league players purchased. Each of the windows has featured some kind of statement from learner suggesting no money will be spent.
My concern is that there has been NO 'period of exclusivity' granted to any party. It's just clouds the absence of any transfer activity for yet another window. Whilst the fans sit back thinking negotiations are ongoing, learner sits back knowing he won't be spending a penny and the transfer window will close. We will receive the new TV money, wages have already been reduced, and learners business plan continues. The 'period of exclusivity' will go some way in exciting fans enough to sell season tickets.

I love these positive nonsensical, talk crap posts.
Lerner through all his faults backed all his managers.
He gave them a brief to get rid of the over paid useless tripe that a certain Irish numpty brought. They all knew this, as did us the fans. He still gave them money to spend, but also made it clear they had to off load.
These are facts, if the playing staff brought in was not up to standard that is the scouts, and managers fault. Not the owner.
He has not lied, fed us rubbish, or not told us fact.
Why would that be the case now???

First and foremost Lerner is a business man and knows you have to spend money to make money. If he doesn't invest and we go down next season he CAN'T sell the club for anything like the current valuation. It makes no sense to risk not improving the team as we cut it so fine this season. He splashed the cash for DB9 when things were looking grim a few seasons back.

I've not watched any of the copa America. Just wanted to ask if any of you have been following it and have spotted any realistic possible signings you feel we should look at. I've always been a fan of the cb zapata and feel he could add to our squad. He is also out of contract soon. Any suggestions guys.

So often though the South American imports just don't cut it in the premier league unless they are the world class players like Aguero and Sanchez - it would be a risky way to spend any funds we have.
