Thinking about Andros Townsend after he scored yet again against us and it just made me think ' would he have been in the England squad if he played for villa' and I simply think that would be a no. Delph was obviously our best player yet again on Sunday and is arguably the most in form english midfielder in the world and is constantly getting completly overlooked by the likes of ross barkly. don't get me wrong I don't quite think he's lampard or Gerard yet but I certainly believe he's good enough for the current english squad at least. Just a thought.

Hi don't agree Delph is not English class He might be performing well for Villa but the best in the world do you know anything about midfield players, as a villa fan I wish

Agree0 Disagree0

How wonderful the the world must look through Villa tinted glasses.

Agree0 Disagree0

When u say the best english players in the world it only means england. Can you think of any English midfield players playing as well as delph at the moment? As I said I don't think he's any Gerard or lampard but at the moment he is playing out of his skin

Agree0 Disagree0

He looks good in a poor side, he lacks vision, can he create no, but he gives is all,

Agree0 Disagree0

Kea and delph are in the top 5 of EVERY important midfielder stat, I won't bore you with them. Not only this but like i've said on this page, before this weekend delph had the highest average rating of any english player (joint first with sturridge)

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think Kea is a good player you don't know football can't think of any prem team that would play him as I said b4 delph looks good in a poor team I rate him he works hard but let's not get carried away he's average, think of our past midfield players sid cowans afew others

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say KEA was a good player? I simply stated the fact that he is inside the top 5 of a lot of statistics tables. I should know, since I spend most of my time checking statistics and studying football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I would suggest you study the game played, that's not being sarcastic, Kea should not be playing he adds nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont get me wrong i'm not saying he's a very good player, but he brings more to the team than westwood, and you can't drop a player who hasn't played badly

Agree0 Disagree0

I guess that this tells us more about statistics than it does about KEA
I have to say, he looks like he's been a crack pipe for an hour before each match to me

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha mendax that made me chuckle mate. KEA is no sylla for me. I also think sylla compliments Westwood better, a player who has been pretty poor so far.

Finch

Agree0 Disagree0

Good point mate. I'd have Sylla over KEA any day of the week

What worries me is that most of us can see the problems on the pitch.
Spuds found more space in our penalty area than there is on the moon. They looked like scoring while we looked like we couldn't find the net if they all went home. The effort can't be faulted and but the willingness is questionable. When Spuds wanted to lay off a ball they had a player available. Too often when a player is in trouble no one has gone to give them an option. Defensivly we have no idea. Players simply run through our line and end up with a free shot at goal. In the forward line we are predictable. Gabby has started to believe what PL says, "its not too late to go to Brazil. " Sorry that bus has gone.

I do believe that Delph has become our only hope in the middle of the park and if he could control himself when he gets frustrated he could make Brazil.

The good news is that we have played most of the title challengers (top 5) and are better off than last season so we should be able to pick up some wins in the next few games.

As for the rumour of a sell out by Lerner, one word was missing from the prospective buyer, Red Bull S---.

if we get 12 points from them who would be happy?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that I would be happy with 10, or even 8.
We still lack that conductor in the middle, someone to hold the ball and change the pattern.
Too frequently, in fact always, our play is predictable. The opposition know before we do what they are going to face.
Somewhere along the way a magician must be found!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think hutton and given being on the books are stopping that player or two coming in?
