With claret and blue spectacles on I have looked at remaining fixtures and see at best 32 points to end with, after today's showing it really looks like we need a great deal of luck till Jan and then mega bucks invested in striker at least!

Need more than a striker, apart from a Guzan form recovery we need the whole spine of the team sorting out or replacing.

if we get the right players in other than arsenal and southampton i can see us doing ok in the next few months if we play to our full potential. but left back is needed (loan as cole i say) a striker or 2, gk needs a change too.

Big Ben on the bench for the Scousers, who look comfortable without him. Wonder if we could get him back on loan. Either that or Crouchy, who seems surplus to requirements. He may be old but as long as he is still League 1 standard, he should fit in .

Im impressed with his calm approach.
Against man city, his management style became apparent, he orchestrated them from his area, something that we have not really seen at vp since Jon Gregory!
Also his decisions where clever and followed a plan.
I think yes we will be ok.
And come the transfer window, I have a feeling we won't be in the bottom three!.

I would love to say pushing towards the top half! But being a realist, that won't happen, I would take 17th and be bloody happy right now!
But I do think we could be pushing 14-15th
