Villa have said that the season ticket prices will be reduced for next season and they bloody well should be. We've gone from playing Manchester United to Rotherham United- or could it be a new owner lowering the prices?

Report on TV, saying its a consortium of Villa supporting business men ., based here and mainland Europe . let's hope this is correct, if the support the Villa, then they will want the best for us . Up the Villa.

If all these rumours are true wouldn't a new owner want a full stadium open? And why are we sacking 500 people if we are being taken over? All this is utter rubbish so we buy season tickets iam not sure anybody down there knows what day it is let alone what's going on! ONLY THING I HAVE SEEN IS ASSET STRIPPING SINCE LERNERS BEEN THERE!

But many press reports reporting that Larry Ellison is the buyer, heading a consortium from uk.
I hope this is true is this guy is a massive winner, doesn't know the meaning of failure. Is ridiculously wealthy, and loves his sport.

Brilliant if true. I work for Ellison (about 10 levels down) and Flackie is correct - he doesn't know the meaning of failure or defeat and is not frightened of investing heavily to ensure success. Mind you, I think this rumour was kicking around last year as well. Unfortunately I'm not close enough to him to ask him to confirm or deny!

Disappointingly, I see Moyes is now saying that he will wait until the summer to decide between Celtic and Villa. Personally, I think we need an appointment sooner than that in order to start planning the rebuild now rather than at the very last minute.

No appointment will be made until the takeover is completed, nobody would take a job or be given a job to be potentially sacked weeks later. It's a race to get the deal done before the end of the season in my eyes to get notes in with a new owner and money available.
