PS
That was our main problem tonight, no energy . Against a side like Preston you have to match them .

Rode our luck against a good, hard to beat side . Saying that we perhaps deserved something, on our last 20 mins . First half terrible, no closing down, sat off them allowing them to play . When Onomah first came, he looked strong, athletic and quite useful . Now he looks a big unfit lump, has not got a football brain . On the Pluss sidn Grabban had a great debut, looked calm and skilful . Once again Hutton was Mr concistancy, Defencivly and attacking, how about the two shots . Thor looked much better in the middle, makes some great runs in the box . Grabban looks the type of player, who would fit in and play anywhere . A little mention for our friends up the road, iv heard they where lucky it should have been more . Onwards and Upwards Villaforever.

A point is better than non however another error at the back is worrying and costly. Attitude and commitment from most the team in the first half was a disgrace, given the chance 7/ 11 of them should have been subbed. Seemed to improve second half, Bruce was pro-active and the subs made a difference. Ref was abysmal, gifting us the penalty in the second half probably still doesn't balance the amount of decisions he gave against us. Onomah shouldn't be anywhere near the first team, ability is average, decision making is shocking, holds onto the ball for too long and attitude stinks. Tuanzebe got ran all over the shop and hogan for all his effort and commitment hindered us tonight, took a header off grabbans head who was in a much better position and ballooned it over and missed a good chance. With the players who are fit the starting x11 bar Onomah was the best we had available, you can't magic players out of thin air. That being said their are no excuses for the weekend, O'hare should be in the number 10 role, Grabban on instead of Onomah, keep hogan up top. Hepburn Murphy and Davis on the bench, wouldn't mind seeing Hutton back at right back and Taylor at left back, he was out of form so was took out, now Elmo is unfit and out of form and tuanzebe didn't perform the best tonight he deserves his chance to prove himself again. Injuries are crippling us and if Snodgrass is injured aswell we are in more trouble but there's still some options.

Bruces team selection again has cost us aswell as injurys play offs is best we can hope four, with the players we have we shouldn't be set up to draw with fulham, we should be attacking with pace n power, also wots the point having youth setups if we don't play them.

I have to say Davis has a habit of missing sitters. He did it against Brentford and again tonight. He is useless. Very lucky to get the penalty but it's a point towards promotion.

20 Feb 2018 22:08:20
Attacking with pace and power with injured players is hard, we got pace in strikers, play all of them and ask Di Matteo what happens.

Disappointing performance and very lucky to get a point,
What worries me is the lack of high tempo at home,
We did it against the bluenoses, Norwich, and Bristol c but that's it,
Why do we let the away teams dictate the play most of the time,
I really hope that o'hare gets a bench job at least on Saturday,
Players are dropping like flys now with injurys or illness,
This will test the squad now more than ever,

Team news is in and oh dear. Here we go again.

20 Feb 2018 19:32:21
Was hoping landsbury would be in instead of onamah and grabban starting a game instead of fifteen minutes at the end. heard he can play in wide positions, would be a nice replacement for uncle albert. Oh well have to see how things pan out. going to be a gritty game i suspect. COME ON YOU VILLA!

20 Feb 2018 19:41:37
Agree. Gabby could have even been a better idea than onomah. Only just mind.

20 Feb 2018 15:29:59
It's a no brainer for me tonight, If Grealish is out, O`hare should get at least 45 mins tonight with maybe Lansbury sharing the duty depending on how the game is going.
Also Grabban should get a game out wide, he has played wide before so nothing new there, he is quick and has two good feet, he is hungry right now, and ripe for this game at home.
We have to forget the Fulham game, go for the throat of Preston and show this division that we are not pretenders, we are very capable of doing another Bristol City and show no mercy.
I will be very disappointed if we fail to perform tonight, if we don`t we will show all and sundry we are a one- trick pony.
If we fail to win tonight, tomorrow night`s games could become very significant as to the psychological effect it would have on the team.

Don’t think there’s any chance of seeing O’hare tonight he played 90 minutes last night and they follow strict recovery programs to avoid injury. He shouldn’t have played last night and been saved for tonight.

See the snake showed his teeth and spat his venom out well done Wigan. our result don't look as bad now against Peterborough now does it? # SACK PEP.

Urm ok.

20 Feb 2018 09:11:28
Prediction time fellow fans,
I am going for a 1-0 win,
I can see a laboured win against a big physical side,
Defeat would seriously damage our top 2 finish especially if teams around us win,
Come on you lions!

20 Feb 2018 12:57:31
Dont have a prediction, think its going to be another tough one hoping brucie has changed things around a little. maybe grabban out wide and landsbury at number10.certainly need some kind of change from saturday. without change our promotion push is going to suffer. The under 23 did well last night and brucie may have to use one or two from there at some point. VILLA FOREVER.
