Views then people where we gona finish I think we will be in play offs but loose out on promotion then we will win league next season.

01 Sep 2016 20:01:53
i think 2nd but if keeper keeps making a error every game 14th.

02 Sep 2016 09:52:26
All I want is top six, all we need to do is give ourselves a chance. Top 2 I think would be a massive bonus.

02 Sep 2016 13:55:55
Daft question, but if we are going up. Where is the best place, for next season to finish?
I mean, winning the league would be brilliant, runners up too, but would winning the play off be better?

02 Sep 2016 15:36:44
A playoff win would be fantastic, but I don't think I would be able to watch.

01 Sep 2016 18:54:28
I know it's Villa so you can never relax and be removed from the subject dispassionately. But be honest, if another team had done the business we have done you'd be tipping them for top 2 without a moment's hesitation
Once we hit our straps we should win a lot of games
There, I said it!

01 Sep 2016 20:42:09
Pleased with business done and am sure given current first half form it won't take long to star to kick on. Really see us cosolidating a play off place by Say February who knows then. The African Cup competition is a worry st a crucial stage of the season, however see Dr Tony getting some loan or permanent cover in January window Keeping the faith UTV.

I'm with you, I feel a tiny inclination of optimism. there I said it.

01 Sep 2016 14:03:09
flackie have you been to a leicester game and sat in the home end? it must be tempting if villa aren't playing? i must say if aston villa are not playing i try to go to differnt grounds and catch games. i just wonder if flackie does the same with his local team and champions of england leicester city? dilly de dilly dong flackie.

01 Sep 2016 14:36:18
No mate, would rather stick pins in my japs eye!

My son and daughter play for west Brom and Coventry youth respectively.
So I see enough.

But of all teams and grounds I would go. That would be near the bottom.

01 Sep 2016 15:57:14
Thats like me mate i would never go st andrews ever place makes my skin cruel! gutted to be going this season must say even including leicester as they are midlands it kills me not bein top dogs anymore but i suppose that's football nothink lasts forever. wouldn't mind goinģ to a spanish game 1 time 4 the laugh. i heard there's a butcher selling ranieri spicey sausages.

01 Sep 2016 13:36:57
Anybody remotely bothered or noticed that Adama has gone.

01 Sep 2016 14:38:04
I think borough will be!

01 Sep 2016 18:50:20
I'm disappointed he turned out to be such an eejit if I'm honest
If you could harness his ability and keep him fit you'd have a helluva player. But it's a massive if
Ask me again after I have seen Odamah play a few times.

01 Sep 2016 19:34:23
Different player to Odamah
We have bought in a new squad this season and they lol as though they will gel to form a team

Look at last years signings only Richards
Bunn and ayew left
Bunn excused we were doomed before we started
I was hopeing Ayew was moving on
His spanked bum face would be enough to kill any team sprit

Supply and finishers bought
Well done RDM and well done DR Xia.

01 Sep 2016 16:52:33
he will become a top top player Mark my words. but at the end of the day he did not want to stay so had to go. good luck to the lad I'm happy with our new players.

Announced on BBC one hour ago:
"Aston Villa have appointed Steve Round as their new Technical Director". Was assistant manager to Moyes at Everton and Man U.

Does this excite anybody?

01 Sep 2016 13:48:25
Yes, I am excited all round.

01 Sep 2016 15:19:04
It begs the question "Who's Round? " to which the obvious answer is "Flackie's" ;)

01 Sep 2016 18:54:06
Ha ha, I'm sure I'm not far behind.

01 Sep 2016 20:32:22

I would like to add some perspective to some of those who are fairly illogical on here, solely with regards to the start of the season.

5 points from the first 5 games is not as bad as it sounds considering the following;

1. 4 points were lost to keeper blunders
2. Chester and Tshibolo didn't start the season and were thrown straight in, and McCormack had very little of a pre-season.
3. Jedinak and De Laet were signed and also thrown straight in.
4. Kodija and Adoma will also be thrown straight in.

I have faith that our staff, working with Gollini, will stem the mistakes. Secondly we need to be patient and let these lads gel, it is pretty much a whole team.

Now you might say, so was last year, but the difference from last year is all the players we brought in had no experience in the PL.

Now we have 5 players who know how to get promotion, 2 managers who know how to get promotion, 3 previous captains and 2 players who scored over 40 goals between them last championship season.

I think it would have been very difficult to have done any better this transfer window. I'm sure we never got all our targets but who ever does.

This team will get us up, that I have no doubt, we just have to be patient and get behind these players because I can assure you the next few games are going to be there hardest, because this team needs time to gel, but the Villa supporters can only make it easier if we get behind them and raise the roof.

well said and totally agree with every point. first of all well done dr tony for proving any doubters wrong and putting your money where your mouth is. second well done tony rdm keith and all others on getting some great additions in and dead wood out. the club have done there part guys now it's time for us fans to step up roar these boys on week after week give them time to gel and if a odd mistake is made or setback don't jump on them roar them on and do our bit. utv.

01 Sep 2016 13:58:02
i fully agree.

01 Sep 2016 18:51:15
Spot on mate.
