Hi, what do you think will happen to Benteke in the transfer window? Already, the press have been talking about his transfer to one of the media darling clubs. Any thoughts? He still looked jaded today but an underperforming Benteke was still able to contribute as much as any other player.

Ben, in New Zealand

Hi Ben.

I think Benteke will stay put until the summer, and then maybe one of the top four clubs like Arsenal, Man U, or maybe even Everton to replace Lukaku will come in for him.

I would prefer him to stay put because he is a top drawer player, but to achieve this we must push on with some quality signings to improve our position, ie top 8.

So I think he will be here for the rest of the season.

So there's quite a few rumors knocking around at the minute, these are the ones I think are A) realistic and B)worthwhile

Zaha on loan (quite a few clubs interested and think he'll create a lot of chances)
Which leads to my next one
Jordan Rhodes, proven goal scorer, clinical and think he would get on well with Paul (especially being a Scottish international)
Lescott (possibly on loan) I know there's a whole wage issue but I think it would be worth paying them for a season or two, he's a class CB and would add experience.
Joey Barton, I personally really want this to happen, besides all the off-field actions he's a top midfield player who, let's not forget, was in and around the England set-up before certain incidents, and he's passion would rub off on the younger players on and off the field.
Bertrand & De Bruyne, Chelsea "normally" stump up some or all of the wages for players on loan and they are both clearly top top players, and with rumors of cole heading off perhaps a loan deal for Ryan would suit him more than a permanent one.

Are you the real Mr Bojangles?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bertrand a top top player? I don't think so.

Thank finally!
A few things good about today:
We were finally the better team in a game
We won the game
And, what I think is more important, lambert said he wanted to sign a few experienced players! I think he has realised we need some older players to teach the younger ones.
Good day for Villa

Did you watch the match villa were not better 62%/38% possession to Sunderland PL is a lucky manager if you like watching boring football and all you care about is the win that's up to you

Agree0 Disagree0

We were the better team. Sunderland were better until we scored which was very early. mthey had more of the ball but in useless area where they didn't look harmful and I am definitely glad with the win. Look where we are in the table now and remember benteke had his shot brilliantly cleared off the line. Gutted about that because he would have had his confidence back but now he'll think he can never score

All the people banging on about helenius, he is young and expected to improve but isn't ready yet, been average when he's played. Kozak is scoring goals regardless of how bad a footballer he can look. Bowery works hard and will out himself about which lambert likes.

Also those saying play Gary Gardner, he's not played regularly for years and half the player delph is!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Still carrying a few pints then.

Helenius IS ready, he is an International mate.

Kozak scores goals that are gifted.

Bowery championship material at best.

And Gardener would figure under most managers with the squad we have.

It will be interesting too see if the fa cup match will be an opportunity for helenius and Gardner.
Finch

Gary Gardner best footballer on villa books Kozak is a donkey, if its about working hard I put a shirt on Delph lookingg like last year, villajk

Villadave u are crazy. I'm not the person that wrote that above but I agree with all of it. I can't believe you think helenius is a premier league standard player yet. He could be but definately not yet. I go to work with a Everton fan and after we played them he came to me the next Monday and said I quote ' that helenium is the worst player I've seen' he played for 10 minutes in that game. Helenius is not anywhere near the standard you think but he could be in a few years time. And how many times have you seen helenius play? Maybe 30 minutes worth. Lambert sees him everyday in training and knows how he is progressing. We did only spend 2 million on him and if he was playing everyone would be complaining about how 'championship level' he is. Give him time

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi whoever you are.
"Thanks for the crazy label"

It is an opinion I have "not a fact".

I have not said he is premier league standard, I have simply said he is ready to play in our side, he needs a chance to be brought up to speed.

I have seen Helenius play probably 20 times or more the full 90 minutes,
you seem to forget what I have posted before, I trade on football matches and have a set up where I can watch live games in Europe all day long, and I make a part time living doing it.

I watch at least 2 games a day every day, I have four screens.

I am not saying this makes me any sort of expert all, but it does help in understanding different countries football styles and player development.

So please don't say I have never seen him.

villadave

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Dave, my angle on it is that I think helenius needs to build up his core muscle strength before being able to hold down the rigours of the premier league.
Finch

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Finch.

I know what you are saying, but don't be fooled by his build.

The Danish league have some pretty tough cookies playing, and have seen Helenius take some bone breaking tackles mate.

What about Crouch?

Like I have said he ain't going to toughen up warming the bench is he

villadave

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember the players don't learn everything from playing matches he will be delveloping from training with a player like benteke

Agree0 Disagree0

If that's your thinking fine.

But I don't know anybody who thinks a player becomes a player from training, they learn yes, but playing games is the only way mate, it doesn't matter which way you look at it.

villadave

Agree0 Disagree0

Either way looks like he'll get a chance to impress in the cup this weekend.

Delighted with the win today, makes a difference having vlaar back in the team. actually went to watch my local team (notts county) and particularly grealish who was outstanding and capped off a performance with a goal. Surely this lad deserves a role within the 1st team. Our best prospect in years.

Well I said months ago On here Pl wants defour and Rodwell and I was laughed at and called a dreamer. Now others are getting links months after they will be fab signings and bla bla bla. Well kingvilla told you first and both are very real targets as up to 3 more experienced players will come in this windows. 2 midfield players and another striker and also a lb if the funds were there but that's probably for the summer more.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Iv seen you post about 100 names on here so far. your rumours are fabricated from your mind and not factual.

Finch

Agree0 Disagree0

You didn't say we were linked with that you said we had signed them! Good to see your ludicrous comments again though king villa
