Use our rumours form to send us aston villa transfer rumours.

01 Feb 2016 23:35:08
We are a complete and utter joke, an embarrassment

All involved should hang there heads in shame to what they have done to our great club!

I don't blame Remi at all, in fact I feel completely sorry for him

We will lose him soon enough, all glimmer of hope has been extinguished, board have thrown in the towel, stiched us up good and proper.

01 Feb 2016 23:22:38
So that's it. No signings and no offloading of dead wood. We are now reliant on the squad we have to perform a miracle. Trouble is, from my observation of the City game on Saturday it has less to do with motivation or commitment and more to do with the fact that some of them are actually just not that good at football.

01 Feb 2016 23:12:24
We're an absolute laughing stock! The way the club is run is shocking not even a transfer is a disagrace! We need to stop going to the games! A boycott is needed.

01 Feb 2016 23:09:42
Remi Garde was the best thing to happen to aston villa since o'neils first couple of years
It looks like he is walking
Can you blame him
Been stabbed in the back by the board

RIP my beloved Aston villa.

Going to read the last rights of a once famous football club.
Seems like The parties over my friends.

He has destroyed AVFC.
May his sole rot in hell.

Hi I've been reading posts on this forum for a while now. Like you all I'm frustrated and disgusted at the way things have degenerated over recent years. Via Facebooks official page I sent the following. Dear Mr Learner, and Executive Board Members Of Aston Villa Football Club. Nice to see Villa were outstanding again today, looks like most of the players are saving themselves for next seasons championship relegation fight, I witnessed probably the worst team Villa have ever had in the 70's and we ended up in the old division 3, but boy this team is far worse, and to be fair its not the players or the Managers fault, many of them were brought into the club by so called executives who obviously do not understand how to build a team, Why employ a manager if he has very little choice on who is brought into the club, you're literally building a house of cards, and waiting for the wind to blow. Well Mr Learner there's a hurricane a blowing and now there's nowhere to hide. (Oh sorry there must be somewhere to hide because that's exactly what you've done) . Back your manager let him do his job, negotiate with his wishes, but put your faith in the person you employed to put some pride back into our Club. Do you realise every manager that you've actually employed has failed ask yourself why? The only time a manager under you're reign actually achieved the little success we've enjoyed in recent years joined the same time as you did and I wonder how much influence you had in that appointment. I might not agree with all of Mr O'Neil's signings, and maybe see you're frustration at the money that was spent during his reign for little to no return. But to employ subsequent Managers with a "keep the cost down" culture, seems to have got us to the position we find ourselves in at present. To Mr Hollis I say this, you are correct that success is not guaranteed by spending considerable amounts of money, but like any business investment, it is a necessary evil to remain competitive, which I'm afraid is not the case with Aston Villa at this moment in time. I'm not saying we need to spend millions to buy players, we need to invest to form a squad of players that the manager can work with. I'm sure Mr Garde knows more about football and how he wants to play better than anyone on the board, So let him do his job if he has your trust, if not employ someone you do trust. I'm sure Mr Garde would feel the same. Does anyone in the higher echelons of Aston Villa expect the manager to work with whatever is put in front of him, this is a Football Club not the Gas Board. I've been a supporter of this club for 50 years, but my patience is now wearing a little thin and felt that I need to get this off my chest. I implore all concerned to consider the consequences of bad investment when running a Football Club. I think its now time to keep the supporters informed of long term plans that will ensure the stability and how the Club intends to go forward from this moment in time, because without us you might as well all join the Gas Board. Regards. What's the chance of a reply a lol.
Apologies for the long first post.

Everton Tie Marred By Racist Chants, Altidore Shock As He Scores And Much More

{Ed's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Everton Tie Marred By Racist Chants, Altidore Shock As He Scores And Much More

01 Feb 2016 16:09:58
Bad day so far - Not signing Doumbia or Kalnic or Sane according to the BBC, and I'm stuck in a Blizzard at Oslo Airport. Grrrr.

{Ed001's Note - ouch sorry to hear that mate.}

01 Feb 2016 15:40:39
im sorry but today is the day i say i'm out of excuse, i'm out of reasons and i'm fresh out of hope that we can stay up.

and personally this is where as supports the people that go to the games now need to start with making it clear that they are not happy with the way the club is run and boycott games. sorry but the only way to hit this bunch of morons that are "running" this club is in the pocket.

01 Feb 2016 20:55:01
And that will improve our position, how?
If we boycott games it actually gives Lerner an excuse for the lack of investment
What we need to do is fill the ground out every week in the Championship; make it an absolute fortress and help drag the team out of their current malaise against weaker opposition.
Abandoning the team when they need you most is poor form as far as I am concerned
Also, it is easier to show the board how you feel if there are 42,000 of you screaming your opinion at the ground rather than sitting at home.

01 Feb 2016 22:29:38
was more thinking the mans only in it for the cash and no one of any importance is ever at the games so the noise won't help.

01 Feb 2016 22:57:48
He doesn't give a monkey's mate.
As fans, we have to help the team in spite of that idiot
Treat him with the contempt he deserves. But don't do it by punishing the team.

JUST SEEN THIS ON SKY TRANSFER News

GARDE FRUSTRATED

Aston Villa are unlikely to make any Deadline Day signings according to manager Remi Garde.

"The situation of the team at the bottom of the table was not something easy to deal with for new players but it's not the only reason.

"It was also a financial problem but it's not my job to explain that again. Probably the club realise mistakes have been made in the past and they didn't want to do it again. "

"I am disappointed because I know I represent this big club. I am not coming in front of the fans with good news. I always said I will not run away. "

I AM DONE WITH THIS LOT.

01 Feb 2016 15:16:06
Even just a £3m bid for lambert would be great!

Sadly, can't see it!

01 Feb 2016 14:29:43
I really cannot understand why the powers that are in charge, let's call them the lunatics, have no ambition?
Surely anyone in football wants their club to be successful, not just make a profit. If they fail to succeed they fail to make a profit.
What do the staff employed within the asylum think about the balls up that the board are creating?
Lerner and his wrecking crew must walk carefully around OUR football club in fear off them having an accident!
Six people destroying the lives of 40/ 50/ 60 thousand supporters. Making a laughing stock of OUR club. Even Vidic chose to retire rather than play for AVFC. What a shambles.
It is no wonder that there are no buyers? We can all see a very badly run club that will need at least £300m to turn it round plus the cost of purchase.
Lerner has not only destroyed this generation of supporters but probably the next two generations.
A faceless wimp with no pride who is prepared to allow one of the greatest names in world football to slowly sink into obscurity.
Lerner you should be ashamed to call yourself a supporter, a business man, an owner, or just simply a man.
GO PLEASE GO, GO NOW.
If you go now you may be forgiven by the supporters, but I doubt it.

01 Feb 2016 15:21:12
I don't believe there was ever any interest in someone buying our club. you don't sell your best assets when your trying to impress potential buyers and he sold snake and benteke! I think it was mendax put up a Cleveland brown fans video. Lerner ruined them and HAS not is, ruined our club.

01 Feb 2016 14:16:53
Villa to get nobody in, scouts already looking at what/ who will get us straight back up next season. the board are saving the money now to ensure the funds are available for the summer overhaul of the squad.

01 Feb 2016 09:28:40
Cannot see us signing anyone
What a mess
Newcastle Sunderland Bournemouth Watford Norwich all are more attractive clubs than Aston Villa
To much money in football is it still £100 million for relgated teams
As a business would you spend 20 million
To get 10 back
As s fan we would spend £100 million
To stay in this league
Only hope WBA get sucked in and blues stay where they are at least local Derby.

01 Feb 2016 08:57:07
We should be chasing Ben chillwell from Leicester, guaranteed first team football and certainly one for the future.

01 Feb 2016 11:11:40
As if
Plus we AV amavi next year.

01 Feb 2016 02:17:50
Well chaps, brandy all round in the boardroom, their plan has come to fruition, no one signed (so far) and one or two members hoping remi resigns (he's a gent and their scared he'll tell the fans the truth about transfer policy-or lack of it), old reg hollis will give a rousing speech and randy will stay well out of the way, being our guardian and all that, i understand names already to be spoken to about getting us back up from the championship, well it is with sadness i'm not getting another season ticket until that"ANCHOR"of a n owner and board sling their hook,36years and this is the worst, i hope for a miracle today and we buy or loan players but i doubt it, so good luck to you boys and girls who still have the faith, time to check out, PEACE and for one last time"UP THE VILLA".
