12 million on Ross McCormack are u mad he's 29 years old.

20 May 2016 07:25:48
I'd go for Naki Wells insted for about 8 million. only 25 years old and would score plenty for us in that league.

19 May 2016 21:11:54
I'm just reading an article about four players villa need to say goodbye to. Gabby, nzogbia, lieutenant warf and . Veretout. Veretout? Am I the only one wondering why that bald clown in goal Guzan was not at the top of this list?

19 May 2016 22:13:40
Nzogbia contract is up in July anyway.

19 May 2016 20:25:59
How come bt, who must have less viewers than anybody, are allowed to buy up everything going . Thought I know watch u 21, no chance bt have got that aswell .

19 May 2016 22:14:43
Coz they paid more then anyone to have the rights, generally how these things work.

19 May 2016 20:21:05
Now i'm all for getting back up to the prem but am i the only one who thinks getting back up immediately could be wrong in the long term, the method to my madness is this, xia has stated back up lively is the way forward, so to do that we're going to recruit experienced players to blend with the senior players already there;great, however to me this signals the youth players aren't going to get a fair crack week in week out, the manager will be under pressure to keep winning obviously, he won't risk loosing games because of silly mistakes, so we'll have a great first team (and i'm sure they'll be on good dough), but really loyal to the villa? ;not so sure, hence the youth players get cheesed off and then move on, we need them, their our future;and at least 90 % if them actually love the club and the fans;so, mad as it may seem i would rather not get promoted next season and start growing a team of mixed experience and youth coming through, there you go, that's my nutty take on this, i've put on me tin hat and flak jacket so away you go boys, i'm expecting both barrels from yooz i'm sure, away you go!

19 May 2016 20:34:04
Your right, I agree with you. You deserve pelters!!

This guy is in the league to be able to afford the same players as a Chelsea, Citeh work Dodgers in pool, etc etc.
All these teams still use their youth. The reason we haven't is sadly they are actually not good enough, or the managers dare not, as they are weak.

There is a saying, if your good enough, your old enough.
We need to heroic the championship ASAP. Then regroup, and start again.
More than one season in championship? We would all self harm!

19 May 2016 22:02:45
You're not wrong, its just that we seem to be releasing a few youth players who won the next gen cup (the youth version of champions league i found out the other day), i think it was kinsella who got released, in my humble opinion;he's a good player, i think arsenal are sniffing around another two or three, and yet we're not trying to persuade them to keep the faith, je ne comprend pas! looks like i'm wrong again, but with agents wanting to get their cut, we're going to need strong management like you say, thing is, will xia put the structure in, or will it be lost in translation, obviously i hope not.

19 May 2016 23:50:27
The guy has been in place a day and we have fans, with no reason for it yet, describing graphic scenarios of how badly wrong things could go. It beggars belief
Yes, it could be horrible and awful, yes it could be absolutely amazing and we go into hyperspace in football terms, or it could be just OK; we know nothing yet
What we do know for certain is that with Lerner in charge things, as bad as they have been, they were going to get worse. Give the new regime 5 minutes before predicting the end of the world.

20 May 2016 10:07:26
Picture the scene, a great club going stale, then along comes yankee doodle randy and says he'll spend and spend to make our magnificent club a beautiful peacock again (Chinese style metaphor, in case old ford xia is reading this) now true to his word big money is spent and the club just fails to make it into the fantasy football competition, so a new incumbent manager comes in, more money spent, same old, same old, the owner gets bored and the interest wains, that's us then, us now?

we got a new owner who is promising to spend big, whatever it takes and now we're going to be a top 3 club in the world in 10 years, mr ford xia, do yo think we've got rubbish for brains, if by a miracle we get out of the championship this season, how much money is it going to take us to be better than Barcelona, madrid and walsall (don't burst their bubble man, let them dream too! ), now we're going to have to do it in nine years, wake up.

what about sheikh mansoor at citeh you say, he's been there for what, 5 years plus, invested billy bundles and won what on the world stage, he promised to spend whatever it took to make it happen when he bought them, money no object, fast forward and this season he sold equity to the Chinese, because he realised its not feasible over a generation (i believe that equates to approximately 10 years-apologies if i'm wrong).

now sheikh mansoor is indeed one smart cookie, and now the penny has dropped, i guarantee someone somewhere in his organisation has an exit strategy already in place, if and when he decides he can't be arsed anymore, because by nature he's a businessman; when mancini or pellegrini wanted to discuss buying a player or had a problem, they had to fly out to see the sheikh, he couldn't be arsed to fly over here.

yeah yeah he's got business's to run, but if he truly had the passion for citeh, it would be the perfect excuse to come over to watch the game, get involved. business men love two things; money and more money, so yes, give ford xia the benefit of the doubt, but when you hear stories that while studying at oxford he played football, fell in love with the villa and said one day he'd make us renowned, and you believe them, then you need to get back to playing with your ken and barbie dolls.

fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. so yeah, i do think he's talking bull. 10 years to be in the top 3, maybe on your playstation, i'd say closer to 20 if you're lucky. oh yes lionel or christiano, spain's got the sun and wonderful lifestyle, ah, but we've got a wonderful sense of humour and sense of fair play. i knew that would persuade you to sign, are you chasing the dragon (to coin a phrase), its always been about the moula.

if he starts talking about 'the project', that means he's going to sell us a pipe dream of pure horse manure. say we get a world class player to come, how much will he cost to come to us? £50 million plus maybe, how much a year in salary and bonuses, £10 million a year? now times that by what, four to six players and the salary alone would easily be well over 40 million a year, not counting the transfer fees.

can you hear that; thats the cuckoo agreeing it's going to happen, go on, move to cuckoo land if you want to. i think that every great bull****er in history has promised the earth, and delivered great steaming piles of nothing. yes i want it to happen, but here's the thing, the thai's who bought leicester (sorry flackie to allude to them) were smart, come in, don't change things too quickly, have a five year plan to get back into the prem.

at the time their fans thought the owners weren't too enthusiastic, but common sense prevailed and they got on board. in other words cut your cloth accordingly, our owner whose supposed to to be as bright as a button, buy the club, install his people at board level, buy off the peg players in large numbers and hey presto, we'll walk it.

really, i was always told take what your told with a pinch of salt. i think with this fella is going to be a big bag of salt. i think i'll call him the pied piper of villa park or whatever corporate aligned name we give to it.

so yes, i hope he is a man of his word and he loves our club with a passion as much as we do, but as the saying goes, 'business is business', we're not measured by profit and loss, we're measured by passion, frustration, hopes and dreams. somehow i feel matey boy is ruled by his love of his calculator.

20 May 2016 13:00:42
Clearly you have made your mind up already, that's fair enough mate
I think I'll give Doctor Tony to the end of the week before making a judgement (or maybe end of the month. oh sod it, he can have a season! )

20 May 2016 17:43:46
Mendax i hope you are a million per cent right and i'm a billion per cent wrong, i want us where we should be, at the top table, and we're holding the menu (mixed metaphors i know), i believe there's an old chinese custom of venting your spleen to purify and cleanse your soul so only positivity remains to move forward with the thing you desire to happen (para-phrased over here as having a good moan up), thus suitably dispensed with, i'm hoping the positive energy eminating flows for the good of the mighty villa (i'm a bloody unsung hero me! )
utv.

19 May 2016 16:40:29
just been reported on ssn that Mr xia 5 core companys turned over 20 billion last year. this is growing year on year as well so the guy is loaded and also has state backing as Steve hollis has said.

20 May 2016 00:37:19
I heard this guy is super rich but i can't find any info anywhere?

19 May 2016 12:29:50
I hope with the new ownership this doesn't mean an end to Brian littles role within the club.

20 May 2016 00:38:40
"Brian Little walks on water" those were good days up the Holte.

19 May 2016 12:04:06

19 May 2016 13:58:40
It seems to me that the Bluenoses are jealous.

19 May 2016 16:11:57
Small heath alliance is worth a visit.
They really are envious people and show themselves up as real idiots.

19 May 2016 19:22:59
None of those sites are worth a visit under any circumstance
Their obsession and aggression toward us is based on the necessity for us to treat them as equals, thereby elevating their status within the game
Best thing to do is ignore and treat as the insignificance that they are ; drives them nuts.
They are like the aggravating younger brother craving attention from his elder, brighter, bigger, stronger sibling. Pathetic and tragic in equal measure.

20 May 2016 00:40:41
Well said Mendax.

19 May 2016 09:20:26
£30m war chest plus money from sales to get us back up is what the Italian stallion do mateo will have at his disposal.

19 May 2016 07:53:26
Fresh in from my insider, mr. wong tells me our first three signings will be a number 24,followed by a 54 and finally an 80,all things being equal!

19 May 2016 19:43:28
He told me if we buy two more, we get a free prawn cracker bag

19 May 2016 20:30:05
That lying so and so, he told me if we buy two i get a free pair of under crackers!

19 May 2016 07:21:59
If king ŕeally wants to impress me he will tell us all 1:New owners real worth?,2 His intentions on buying and selling?,3 does he have backers?,4 how does he plan to rejuvenate VP?,5 Does he plan to sell Chinese food at half time? Now surely a man in the know with Chinese connections will have answers to all these!

19 May 2016 08:53:42
4 billion. buy young sell for profit. state backed. will rebuild north stand and fill sides in to make us 55000 seater. and this will all be spot on villadaz as your contact Martin keown told me. lol lol lol .

19 May 2016 10:52:13
Brilliant owners then if they on about selling young players how about keeping them instead? We can't fill a 42000 ground so that's a waste of time IMO why not spend that money on rebuilding then when we get back and start filling ground then plan for rebuilding?

19 May 2016 11:14:11
I agree villadaz. time will tell how he goes about it. just hope it don't turn out a balls up like Lerner made it.
