Come on if our chairman comes out an says we are minted an money ent a problem prices will rise he knows his made a mistake telling every1 how much money he was going to spend so now he's trying to play it down to get better value for money we are loaded trust me. negative Villa fans again on here again. I doubt half of you even been to the games the rubbish people talk our owner hasn't had a month here yet an you are doubting him.

19 Jun 2016 22:28:38
I doubted him from last year when he was reported to be putting an offer in for us, it was just after marseille told him to jog on, but let's not get bogged down on that score, he then decided to wait to buy us when the price 'bottomed out', yeah i can see him running us as a business; hurray you say, i say get used to huddersfield away, short arms deep pockets springs to mind, tell me how 1 man can run a minimum of 15 business'- each worth at least 500 million each (he says) and still have time to be hands on with us? we'll see haleys comet more often than him after a while meaning the men in grey suits and calculators deciding things, so yeah, take a slice of dr. tony's pie, you may not like it after a while, but its the only thing in the menu-bon appetite.

20 jun 2016 00:09:36
you should be prepared at least give the guy a chance mate he will run it as a business and it makes sense to because it is a business no matter what anybody says also its good business sense to get aston villa promoted asap so we can start making proper money and playing big teams again.

watford palace Bournemouth wba don't spend big bucks every year but they come higher than us who spent 50 million point is you don't have to spend huge amounts of cash its about getting the right players is take us forward e.g. leicester for instance won the league on hard work spent less than aston villa we need to get the structure right at the club before anything!

20 Jun 2016 07:08:06
Your right classof82, I mean what sort of businessman would wait until the price was right to come in and buy something?
What sort of person would wait to buy something when they hit rock bottom, so when they lift it back to the top they are made to be heroes?

Jesus, they guy has been here 5 minutes!

Are you just getting your point in now, so if it goes wrong you can say how you told us all so? How you never wanted him?

20 Jun 2016 09:06:04
I just don't get why people are so negative its mad. its a new era now mate bright future.

20 Jun 2016 09:17:37
People are only negative because last time it was a 'new era' Lerner was the new owner and look how that turned out, better to be optimistic though.

You are right mr. know. it. all. how much you spend should not be a barometer of measuring a team, but your wrong about spending 50 million, we only spent 12 million if you factor in benteke and the bottom feeder, but we have had years of under investment, we all know the song!, this goes back to the point i made earlier, players by nature are a simple beast, all they want is a decent wage and for the fans to appreciate them (although some are drama queens-normally the forwards), they have agents who fight gucci tooth and nail to get them as much as they can, and then their cut too, so when you start bringing in performance related contracts agents congeal like a snail covered in garlic butter.

thus as an agent you would prefer your client to get a regular big pay check as opposed to a much smaller one with the carrot of a big bonus paid for promotion-also tax implications (but i'm sure kingy would school us on that subject) so, thus if we want us up asap, then i think we need to ditch the performance contracts and stick with the bog standard ones otherwise we're going to loose out on players-for example that swedish forward looks like he's going to leeds now, you work out why, it ain't that difficult, but then again i'm probably talking pants!

20 Jun 2016 09:44:15
A salient point you make there flackie, but for me, a hero is one who comes to the rescue before a terrible act happens, i believe randy was prepared to take 85 million (apologies if i got that price wrong there) so he has saved himself roughly 10 million, indeed not a figure to be sniffed at, but for me i believe we would probably have been in a better position financially and not as withstanding as an asset if we had stayed in the premier league, qudos and almost legend status would have been his, we would have had a bigger piece of the pie and i believe been able to not only keep what talent we have, but build and invest on new players too, as for not wanting him i fear i must plead guilty, not because he is chinese, but because of how this whole sale has left a sour taste, how respected figures in football have decided to walk away and how our new board members seem to sail extremely close to the wind so as to attract interest from u.s. authorities.

i just don't want the integrity of the club sullied and dragged down, the history of our club demands that surely, well, for me and hopefully you fellas too, it just that statements have been made and now their moving the goalposts (no pun intended), maybe your right and the negativity is taking away from this brand new dawn, maybe not knowing is bliss.

i just want my club up where it belongs on solid foundations, not on the whim of a business man who alludes to having partial and full ownership of 20+ business', i think we and other clubs have seen the result of that scenario, so how about this, i, and my black cloud will step to the sidelines and remain (miserable! ) impartial, not commenting for the next month and a half, no smug comments or inuendo, and hopefully be back on when all our wheelings and dealings are done and see how ambitious we've been (and i really hope we are), now me and the cloud can't be fairer than that, can we!

20 Jun 2016 13:41:16
I don't doubt or disagree with that, but the fact is, we are not, and we have been sold as a championship club.
You seem to be writing this guy off before he has got through the door!

20 Jun 2016 19:58:24
In the 'real' world, performance related contracts should be a good thing? and it should be across the board, every team, say £10K basic, and sky's the limit in bonuses, depending on who you play for and what they're prepared to pay, watch them try then! But we live in a parallel universe where Rooney gets £250K a week and scores less than half the goals he used to, and just about scrapes an FA Cup win after a few trophy less seasons, madness 😡

I think there are a few players from the Euros that we should be considering as targets. Robbie Brady has being playing very well for Ireland and Clark may be able to persuade him into moving. Robson Kanu has also lead the line well for Wales not the most technical but gives 110% chasing lost balls and we don't have that in our current squad. Also Kleinheisler (number 15 ginger guy) for Hungary would be worth a punt? Would be cheap and looks very creative and a hard worker. What do you think?

19 Jun 2016 16:10:34
The new manager will have around 30 million plus to bring new talent to villa park this summer. villa board member just after the takeover never gave rdm a number about how much money he can spend. i told him he must be careful. dr. tony speaking yesterday, crikey, seems them goalposts are shifting double-lively already.

champions league in 3 years time, NON Championship in 3 years time a distinct possibility, for a man with his eyes 'wide open' about football, he hasn't got a danny la rue about building a team and the time it takes, what are the chances there'll be a game show over in china soon.

yes, and the winner gets a 2 year contract to play for Aston Villa, this ain't, right, wyness has been brought in to change our structure and give out performance related contracts, low pay but massive bonuses for stuff like promotion, great you say;gives them hunger and desire, bad, because it promotes no sense of loyalty, here today gone tomorrow attitude, some players are confidence driven, not going to do well under this type of regime, our youth;who are our future, how they going to get a game, the manager won't trust them, no loyalty either, we'll just get mercenaries.

i hear marcusson (i think that's the forwards name from sweden we're after) favours going to leeds, a club in turmoil with an owner who changes a manager like changing a tv channel, now why would he do that, ask yourself why, we're bigger (no discourtesy to leeds fans) and we have more financial clout (not so sure now), its simple, we've started doing things the wrong way already, the wrong way to attract footballers, but the right way to run a business, the thing is football isn't like any other business, but again, our new overseer knows this and has the answers.

looks like no trip to old trafford for a bit longer than this season me thinks-and before you all stamp your feet in unison, look at what's been promised and said, and look what we're doing, its all smoke and mirrors-and that's a reality check whether you like it or lump it.

19 Jun 2016 17:45:23
Think I'll lump it like mash get smash potatoes.

19 Jun 2016 18:37:55
But surely let's say. in the next couple of years we get back in prem. Then an only then can we start doing things the right way? If we're going to pay massive bonus to secure promotion this season. Then I say happy days. once we're back where we belong we can get right sort players who want to play for our great club. until then, we got haven't a lot offer. It maybe the wrong but surely the quickest way back.

19 Jun 2016 18:58:09
I hit agree by accident i thought it was for the post by villa daz as i too will lump it and wait and see. No offence because we are all villa bros but don't be so negative you read to much into things. This is what we've been waiting for (except relegation) a buy out from someone who talks the talk unless you would perefer an owner to come in and say we are happy with the club as it is and have no intention of getting promoted so thers no cash and were hiring mickey mouse and goofy to run the team. Weve managed to bag a couple of gems with both di matteo and clarke it can only start from ther regardless of what player bonuses ther may be to perform i'm happy so far so up the villa literally.

19 Jun 2016 23:11:10
Here's a radical idea for any Villa fans out there who may be considering posting some negative scaremonger chat about who not to buy because he ain't no good. Or the owner is a con man with no money and all "beware the ides of March" crap. Why not ponder a while on the season ahead with a cheery smile and get behind the club and cheer us back to the Prem.
Just a thought.

19 Jun 2016 22:44:49
Totally agree rdm and clarkey are a godsend, as for mickey mouse and goofy, their on the board mate, as for negativity, if the owner says 1 thing when in the process of buying the club (since april i might add), uses a vetenary surgeon to be the fit and proper person to get deal through, the vet resigns and disappears, the vets ex-business partner then steps out into the light and joins the board with two more of his cronies, they all talk the talk, but their previous business dealings do not do the walk, i'll ask you this, if i run a business and let it go into adminstration because i refuse to pay creditors 17 grand;would you hand me over the keys to run your business which runs into the 100's of millions-i think not, and what favour did he do which would make dr. xia agree to this;time will tell but for me, he ain't no rainmaker.

20 Jun 2016 15:31:02
So if he is a very shrewd businessman and as has been mentioned he has bought us at a rock bottom price he has one aim. Get us promoted and reestablished in the Prem and then sell the club at a healthy profit. Not break the club up get relegated and lose a large amount of his investment. Let's not be tainted by the last regime and embrace a new beginning. Remember that without this investment we would be looking at successive relegations for sure. Now I actually look forward to the window and a season of possibilities.

19 Jun 2016 07:51:12
Right fellas, here's a mad idea, there's one thing we've been missing in our defence for years, and that's a wiley, knarly wisened old central defender to be the leader, yes we have lescott, but he has always relied on pace, and now that's gone he's being shown up because he lacks the one thing all great defenders have anticipation.

get a veteran in to rule the roost and the likes of baker and clark (yes even clark) will learn and become more accomplished, think cahill and john terry mentoring him, before, average, after, different player, so get in a shaun teale type, that'll take care of that, but of course, we won't, shame, but you can't teach stupid, and on and on it will continue. time to wake up and sort it out while there's time.

19 Jun 2016 15:30:22
After that overhead kick in the Holte against the nose, how can you say Cahill's average? That was so good I'd let him bang my Mrs, if Terry hasn't already lol? 😘

19 Jun 2016 16:17:47
Ha ha Allyp1972, there's loving your club mate but letting john terry plant his flag, no way jose. but fair play for the sacrifice for the club mate, fair play, and no i haven't forgot the overhead against the boneheads (geez its an ago now), its about time clarky scored one against city, now that i'd love to see, and boost his confidence, happy days!

19 Jun 2016 08:36:12
Remember in those old panto's when you were kids, and there was a chinese character in it, and he used to do the laundry for people, yeah that's right, you could say his character was a launderer. just thought i'd share some memories (before old age makes me forget! ) its a funny old world isn't it;now what was his name .

19 Jun 2016 16:39:14
Sounds like alzheimer, s has already set in.

19 Jun 2016 17:00:45
Wishy Washy 👍🏻

19 Jun 2016 22:46:44
Ah wishy washy, thankyou for that, now what was the question again!

19 Jun 2016 08:13:06
Surely Rico henry (Walsall) is a dead cert to sign this summer.

19 Jun 2016 11:22:15
Great potential, worth a punt, don't forget we've got Oscar Borg who's the same age in that position, Henry's from Brum, so need to find out if he's a nose 1st lol
