With Elmo now in and Whelan on the way I think that will be us done. Bruce always seems to get the best out of Elmo as he as said and I think with Whelans robust tackling I think this will be a good season onwards and upwards VTMLDB.

Veretout didn't turn up to his St Ettiene medical today (l'equipe), I've seen James Nursey or one of the reporters who get a lot of villa stuff, tweet about something between Veretout and Fiorentina - and the fee for the St Ettiene deal was 4.5 initial rising to 7.5, so not as bad as first thought.

It's getting more like a children's comic on here lately, the culprits know who they are.

All this talk of defenders midfield players etc all we need is goal scorers get rid of the deadwood the non performers, then get in dads army just for a year? Thanks mainbob, excuse the frustration but I thought football was a simple game . If you play well you stay if you don't you out. Well not if your a spoilt footballer who doesn't really want to play for you ( could think of a few there? ) and sits on his contract . How about a clause that says you don't play we don't pay and we hold your contract Might get Agee people going eh! Mind you it's easy for me I wouldn't want Steve's job for 2x his salary great chairman too much deadwood, he needs another year till end of this season?

Mainbob what is it everybody else is watching? Its not just friendly games is it? Last season we was one of the lowest scorers we created nothing if we were missing chances i would say unlucky but its 10 men behind the ball and they creating nothing. Why was connor houliane amazing for Barnsley and rubbish for us same with lansbury an hogan its down to the manager and what he tells them to do! Mainbob we will be proved right its a joy to talk to somebody who understands the game!

Moan all you like mate Bruce has done it all his career and has been successful doing it, score and then sit on it. His record suggests it works not matter how negative, don't write him off before the seasons even started. If we win every game 1-0, play awful and get promoted I couldn't care less.
That being said you moan about him not using the players correctly, and being negative, Hourihane played attacking midfield yesterday with players around him and he looked lost, corners were ok but free kicks were awful, passing was off, and didn't really create anything. Can't always lay the blame at Bruce's door.

On the game last night I thought samba was good alongside Terry,
Green had flashes which showed to me he should start in team on regular basis,
Midfield was to far away from front strikers
It's the midfield which bothers me no penetration to supply up top,
But it was just better than against Shrewsbury but only just,
Need to improve a fair bit if they want that top 2 spot,
Can not understand how we are joint favourites to be champions,
There are at least 12 teams who will be scrapping for play offs,
Including our enemy's down the rd,
Cant stand rednapp but he has brought wisely up to now,
They will be in the shake up as well.

Mainbob its hard to try and educate people but what I will say is if you don't shoot you don't score. If Big Ron would of had this team we would of rip this league apart or somebody with that style. Anyway enough of Potato Head. Samba deserves a contract I would keep Hutton because his effort is there. But Richards and Gabby should have there contracts torn up useless. Maybe if we do get another holding midfielder Bruce might push lansbury and connor houlihane forward. Green is amazing if he don't start every week then I would be gutted because his 1 of the best at the club. Iam sorry if our views annoy some people but we call how we see it! The only negative 1 is Bruce!
