Here we go same old story well in control of the match
then throw it all away, 2-0 at half time we should be closing the game up in second half. all I can say is lambert and the team USELESS.

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Nurse he's outta the bed again, bufoon, bannan is rubbish, other than that I was impressed by villa against baggies, ps your a closet norwich or bluenose fan, get behind your team if your a villa fan and stop whining,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

2-0 up and we threw it away what's going on

Believable1 Unbelievable1

You wanted him, you got him

Agree2 Disagree0

That is true but we don't have the Lambert who was at Norwich. Wether it's that the players are good enough I don't know but one thing that is blatantly obvious there is no plan B. It appears that the board/management are resigned to the fact we will be in the Championship next season. This is a damn shame, what has happened to our club?! Villa till I Die.

We need experience down the spine of the team I feel. So I would bring in Gallas, Reo-Coker & Saha, this wouldn't cost more than £5 million. Then maybe consider playing Warnock, or playing Clark/Baker at left back.

_____________Guzan
Lowton___Gallas___Vlaar___Clark
Holman__Reo-Coker__Delph__N'Zogbia
_____________Ireland
_____________Benteke

Believable2 Unbelievable6

But if we don't sign anyone I think this team would do ok....

Guzan

Lowton Dunne Vlaar Clark

Delph

Albrighton Agbonlahor

Nzogbia

Weimann benteke

Agree1 Disagree4

Reo Coker is no good can't play championship now! Delph the same ! as is Ireland and Nzog

Agree2 Disagree2

Twice this season albrighton has looked good for ooh! at least five minutes. Has little pace, generally underhits or overhits crosses, can't tackle back and runs down blind alleys.
In short he's crap and no team will win with him featuring.

Anyone else think this is a bit weird Adkins got sacked just after Lerner apparently approaching di Matteo what the odds of Adkins coming to villa?

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Got every chance lerner seems to want any f**king manager of any team that plays well against us. this owner hasn't got a bloody clue on how to save this club from the abbiss its staring into.

Agree1 Disagree2

That will be most prem managers then, and the gaffer og Bradford.

This time next week, we could be out of the relegation zone, going to Wembley, and in the FA Cup 5th round. Could attract a few more players...

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Keep taking the pills chap

Agree3 Disagree3

Thats one out of the 3, Just!

Agree2 Disagree0

press often give you a good idea. they strongly believe if lambert does not get 3pts at west brom today he may be sacked by the evening...
fergie faced the same and purchased m robins from norwich they went on to beat villa 2-0 and look at man utd now ! richest club in the world..
time to be realistic. man utd buy van persie for 30 million wich was a knocked down price as he was not going to sign a new deal.
lambert had so much to fix and 23 million does not go far these days.
pick a manager and support over a number of years only way for success.
is lambert the best man ? undecided myself.
i think this is why the purse strings are tight from mr lerner as a new manager could come in yet again and he will need to be supported and compensation again paid out to lambert ..
sort it out villa.. time for faulkner to go all villa fans know it..
i would love to see andy gray get a shot..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Personally I'm sick of Villa wasting money on managers we all know Villa won't be fixed with a couple of panic buys.

Villa need to back Lambert to build the team and I think he will but we may get relegated and play championship football for a year or two

The sooner Villa have gone through this period for me the better as all this started when Doug Ellis sold us as he kept a strict budget and all we've seen since he left was us finishing top 6 for 3 years.

and look at the price were paying those 3 years i'd have rathered finishing between 8-12 for those years as what did we achieve really apart from the owner now wanting to claw back that investment and I honestly think Lambert will be able pick out the gems on a low budget
I.E
Benteke 7m
Vlaar 3m
Westwood 2.5m

were as what did Mcleash bring in for that N'zogbia 9.5m and Hutton 3m

Houllier Bent 24m and Makoun 6m

And for every good buy O'neill brought he brought in 1 or 2 sh*t players and all were overpriced with exceptions of Young, Downing, Milner and Petrov

SO MY POINT IS WHAT EVER WILL BE WILL BE AT VILLA BUT I BELIEVE LAMBERT WILL BRING US THROUGH AND BACK FROM IT STRONGER

Agree4 Disagree1

Hear hear to the previous comment! finally someone with loyalty to the club and its staff, we have been too quick to call for heads recently, lambert is building us a solid future with our youth system gaining top recognition we need to exploit this with the talent coming thru and eventually finding the ballance of youth and experiance maybe next season if we stay up.

if the unthinkable does happen then we will come back a stronger team for it, the young players seem to be here for the fight and hopefully will stick with us for a couple of seasons atleast giving us time to continue building and return to the greatest stage the PL.

come on you lions!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love Andy Gray as manager and Brian Little as his assistant - at least there would be passion on the bench and the terraces...Bet Lambert never thought it would go pear shaped like it has this year

Agree0 Disagree0

Former players do not always become great or better managers, Gray has done nothing for years except spouting on the radio and getting sacked on TV. Does he have badges for the Job, Little way past it as well Adkins is avaliable

di matteo was a great manager! I would be happy for him to manage us if lambert was sacked-you never know he might win us the champions league

Believable1 Unbelievable5

If its any consalation I think Norwich would be where you are now had Lambert stayed, but I hope you stick with him religation or not
