8-10m for a Shawcross or Wiljadarum would be quite a spend so perhaps just Barry on loan to conclude our business, but we can all cross our fingers whilst getting secretly carried away

I really feel we have scored an own goal by letting Bent go to Fulham on loan
The money they saved on a transfer fee for Darren seems to have been spent on Scott Parker, who joined them today
In other words, a team that will be competing at our end of the table have now got 2 decent players due to our inability to hold our nerve and demand a transfer fee.
I just hope that Lambert really needed Bent off the books to fund a decent midfield signing of his own

Quality realistic transfers:

2)Will Hughes-6m, a solid DM who will give us 5 options Delph Sylla Westwood ElAhmidi Hughes
3)Robert Huth- 9m and experienced CB to partner Clark in defense with Vlaar and Okore also available, Baker to be used as cover for RB
9m for Robert huth, are you taking meth mate. Seriously. We have younger players more adept than huth he is a solid guy but I wouldn't want to see villa signing defenders like that
