Why on earth have them extra officials, at the back of the goal, haven't seen any make a decision yet . Flackie, sounds like you've sussed Mr . know . it all out, as well . Villa forever.

19 jun 2016 12:39:41
lol what is there to sus out iam just a huge avfc supporter like you guys we all have differnt views all i see is everytime clark plays he makes mistakes an usually the oppistion get 3 or 4 goals past him club an country no1 can argue with that because that's facts look at the games before that giant finger hit the disagree button!

18 Jun 2016 18:52:56
players that have have to go lescot richards gabby westwood okore cissoko veroute baker steer bacuna bennett that's 11 simply not good enough!

18 Jun 2016 19:20:23
A lot of those mentioned are good enough for the championship, I agree some need to go for attitude reasons, I think okore should stay and bacuna played in his correct position could be a valuable asset in the championship. I would say Richards 2 stone lighter would be an asset also. Veretout is too light weight for the championship imo but played in an attaching role could prove useful too,

In short I think lescot gabby cissoko and steer but steer could be a good back up.

18 Jun 2016 20:46:00
Bacuna is person, has to go as does Westwood, lescott, Clark as he's proving in Europe. pmsl guzan too cissoko.

19 Jun 2016 11:44:39
I think veretout is worth hanging onto. Often was played out of position, had a bunch of injuries and playing in a poor team the lad will come back to haunt us if we sell.

19 Jun 2016 15:25:58
veretout at times has shown moments of class and looked like he could be great. but then more than not he's been shocking and looked bloody awful. hopefully he stays and shows his worth.

19 Jun 2016 22:50:18
Remember veretout got married last year and also the birth of his child; put that together with moving to a new country, new language and culture, no wonder the poor sod found it difficult, he is class though.

18 Jun 2016 18:48:15
clark is awful every game he plays they put 3 or 4 past him weather its club or country him and baker are rubbish we need a complete new team one that will die for the course westwood is another 1 offers nothink very sideways at the moment we have a team with a terrible attuide and poor players we should be buying now as we need at least 7 in an 9 out! i would keep guzan tho his a good keeper just let down by donkeys inftont of him in great form for the usa!

18 Jun 2016 19:48:07
Totally agree mr know it all. Clark has been crap for a number of years, always over commits himself in every challenge. Need someone like Michael Dawson paired with okore.

18 Jun 2016 19:53:09
Considering your name, you do talk rubbish.
Clarke and baker are the two best defenders at our club, and in my opinion if they had been the defensive pair last season our fortunes would of been different.
I agree they are not the most skill full, but definitely the most committed, dedicated and toughest we have.

18 Jun 2016 20:47:30
Flakie have a word and remove the blinkers Clarke is awfull and has been for ages Baker isn't bad tho.

18 Jun 2016 20:57:00
Baker better than okore? Get a grip . suppose Westwood is as good as Kante as well?

18 Jun 2016 21:09:17
Okore threw a strop and refused to train, sit on bench or wear the shirt, whether you agree with his reasons or sentiment, his attitude was wrong, so yes baker is better than okore!

And as I have said in many previous posts, Westwood has long been the fans escape goat, never a world beater, or kantes class, but his attitude is spot on, he never hides, and works his socks off.

18 Jun 2016 22:05:16
Right attitude will only get you so far, got to have the talent to go with it. rather have will Hughes from Derby every day of the week.

18 Jun 2016 22:22:53
If a players has the wrong attitude, you run the risk of splitting the dressing room, if you think that that is a risk worth taking on any player, then I disagree.

Give me heart, attitude and desire over a self obsessed clown everyday.

18 Jun 2016 22:23:05
Why don't we try a cheeky bid for berahino, would score the goals to take us back up.

19 Jun 2016 03:22:47
Clark for all of his endeavour is only championship standard, Okore is a level above. He has more pace and has a much better temperament less prone to making rash challenges and popping up for the odd own goal. Attitude may get you so far as will heart and attitude but you need a little more talent than Clark currently has. As for Will Hughes would rather have his Dad Howard.

19 Jun 2016 08:56:48
I do agree to an extent jam dog.
But the wrong attitude is infectious, and we had Richards, okore, gabby, worf etc last year.
They should be made to know that it was their attitude, that lost the dressing room, lost the team turned the crowd and ultimately lose our premier status.
Whether you think player a is better than player b, or we should play a different way, to publicly disrespect the manager, coach, club or fans is unforgivable.

And Abu player involved in this is not good enough, not even for the reserves, as they would poison their belief and future in the game.

Should be sacked. Made an example of.

Also, I do disagree re Clarke. I think he is better than he is showing at min, yes he has had a poor season, and it is continuing, but he is a good defender, if he could tone his aggressive nature, he would be even better.

19 Jun 2016 09:41:05
okore has to stay for me and I'd keep baker. I think Clark is so low on confidence now he has lost the plot. only way I'd use Clark in the team is if he could be used as a sitting midfielder in front of back 4. makes to many costly mistakes at the back. I'd be signing another 2 cb once lescot is shown the door and would only keep richards if he plays rb. if amavi ends up going which I pray he don't we need a decent lb as well.

19 Jun 2016 09:58:08
Okore did throw a strop and it was wrong but the frustration must have been immense. Lescott was getting in the team ahead of him! Are you telling me he was that bad he'd have done a worse job than lescott?

19 Jun 2016 10:21:33
Who ever was in the team, he is a professional, and is paid to earn his place in the team, to throw a strop, sulk and refuse to earn his inflated wage is unforgivable.
The manager, whether we agree, whether the players agree, is paid to pick the team.
If the players disagree, if we all do, then there is a due process.
Player. Work harder, prove him wrong, set the right example.

Supporters., voice your opinions.

When a player acts this way, the whole dressing room is lost. The only way to win in back is change the manager, and prove player revolt, player power wins, or totally drop the player.

I agree, worf had no place in that team, and I voiced my opinion. But after that, neither does okore.
We are better than that.
We are bigger than him.

Whether he would of played better, done a better job is irrelevant. He isn't player manager, it is not his place to pick the team. It is his place to prove he warrants a place in that team, and with that attitude, the spoilt child routine, he has no place near our team.

I think worf, Richards, Guzan, gabby not one of them has, or had, a place near our first team, but that's not my call, and neither is it okores.

If one of my kids acted the way he did, because they didn't get what they wanted, the last thing I would do is relent and get it for them, because they threw a strop, and showed some passion for it!
I would make it my mission that they didn't get it until they earnt it.

19 Jun 2016 11:16:52
IMO, Baker is a better centre half than Clark, not a bad player but if £5M is being offered I'd take it. Going into the season with Elphick, Okore, Baker and Toner to choose from for 2 positions, I'd be more than happy. We need a good keeper though, I'd go Myhill, experienced, lives locally already, last year of contract, 33yrs old, good solid keeper and better than Guzan. going to be an interesting few weeks seeing who comes and goes, I'm super confident for the season ahead, be one to remember I think 👍🏻

19 Jun 2016 11:40:11
Mate I agree, except we don't need the risk of an okore now.
He showed his hand, if he can do it once, he can do it again. Make an example of him.

19 Jun 2016 12:24:51
Tbh Flackie, it's probably been mentioned on here, if Worf, Richards etc got in the team ahead of me, I'd have a problem with it, granted he gets paid well but it's a tough 1 because Black basically had his own ideas, not what all of us would've done? I've read somewhere that Okore's agent wants a clean slate, and he's happy to play in the Championship, at least he doesn't think it's beneath him like 'some' of our superstars, which is encouraging? Personally I think Okore would smash it in the Championship, he's a hard man, worth giving him 1 more chance or till January and see what happens?

19 Jun 2016 12:30:42
Ps, going back to what Smudge1976 put, how did our scouts watching Ligue 1 miss Kante at half the price of what Gana or Vertout cost? Shows what a nightmare Riley is/ was

19 Jun 2016 13:29:31
No arguments there. Personally I wouldn't risk that attitude again, whether I was annoyed in anyone getting in front of me or not, his response was the problem!

19 Jun 2016 20:41:16
If an older kid acted like a lescott and still got to play then a younger kid like an okore, who towed the line would wonder what they needed to do to get to play.
You don't like your older kids play you for a fool and punish the younger kids for playing up.
I don't agree with what okore did, no player is bigger than the club but he obviously wanted to make a point and it seemed lescott and others could do what they liked.

19 Jun 2016 22:47:14
What?
So as a grown adult professional man, you accept this as a reasonable action?

Crazy!

The guy refused to train, to be a sub, and I doing this to wear the shirt, all because the man paid to manage the team played someone in front of him, whether he felt okore wasn't good enough, or couldn't play in his formation, or that the other guy is better is irrelevant.
His way of going about things, to now be ignored says what to
A) youth players
B) new signings
C) fringe players?

As I said before, I actually agree he would of played in my team, but that is beside the point.
He is a spoilt unprofessional player ego is NOT bigger than Aston villa.
