if martin o'neill was givin the financial backing by lerner he could hav taken yous to new heights he is the best in the business lets face it you will always be a small club and bringin in mcleish has just proved that, do u think mcleish is gonna get the money o'neill didn't dream on

Cause i think you need to do your homework Martin o'neill spent just under 150 million on players over 4 years if that's not being backed by the board

WHAT IS

out of that half the players he bought were sh*t and over priced which we then had to make loses on and he froze out some good players and sold them for a pitence such as Gary Cahill, Craig Gardener and Curtis Davis. O'neill spat his dummy out and quit when Randy started asking questions why he only used and ran the same 16 players into the ground and left players who he had spent 8 million plus on not even on the bench

Thats not saying he was a poor manager just pointing out his flaws he brought some cracking players and played good football he also mad some dodgy decisions to

So please don't chat sh*t mate Randy has backed all his managers and he'll back McLeish

Only sing when we are winning my team lost the league and we were still singing martin o'neill took yous out of the bottom half of table got yous into europe and yous still gave him crap do me a favour

Martin O'neill was a very good manager he had his time at Villa spent 150 million over 4 years brought in a good style of football and brought some good and bad players so he was far from perfect.

Houllier came in and spent 30 million over 9 months and was a decent manager as Villa usually flag towards the end of the season although due to his training methods we got better and pulled away from the bottom to finish 9th
And now it's Mcleish's time instead of doing cheap digs at him wait and see what he does at Villa before you judge Lerner wouldn't of appointed him and give him no money as the boy cot would cost the club more so wait and see what players he brings in and who he performs over the season.

I wasn't a fan of houllier but saw the benefits of his training

And now many of us wouldn't of picked Mcleish but i have a feeling a move of this kind making Mcleish our manager i feel he must be being given around 50 million to spend to re-build the holes in team left by barry milner young and maybe dowing going

Without doubt this is the darkest day in Villas history. Not only a manger that relegated them twice, his general management is terrible. at rangers he had money and done not much, motherwell hibs a complete failure, i bet carlos is captian next season and we will buy some rejects from rangers for millions to help pay their debt. i can't believe this has happened what has he got to offer? his tactics are p**s poor, his record in the transfer market is sh**e and coz he won some daft trophys in scotland he can manage a big club like villa. rangers arent exactly the top of the pile, any pile to be honest and now he comes here, we have won european cups etc in our history who are poxy rangers or motherwell in the bigger picture. this stink to high heavens of jobs for the boys with scots managers to help out their game up their, with taxes and takeovers and no money etc,

Glasgow rangers are the most successful club in the world so to say they "aren't exactly the top of the pile" is BS! aston villa are a small club in a small town, with a small rivalry. So you are saying the ten biggest clubs in the world six of them are english, what a load of carbage, theres only two teams from england that would make that list, man u and liverpool

Rangers are bigger than spurs, arsenal, chelsea, man city easily. you clearly have your english shades on and one of those guys who only listen to papers about the spl and not actually watch it!

I have watched the spl before , normally the old firm games, and there nothing special , rangers havent done anythink recently and are no where ear as good as the english teams , if they moved down to the premier league they wud be a bottom half of the table team

villa fans should give Alex , McLeish a chance let him prove too yous that he is a very good manager he has a brilliant cv aye he managed Birmingham so what he will bring success to villa trust me hes done it every team hes managed theres only one Alex mcleish
