Why are a few idiots moaning for season hasn't even started yet, i don't get it, its preseason who cares bout the results its about fittnes, tacticts, formations, style of play, an getting to know new players. these moaners on here do my head in. there's nothing to moan about, they must have boring lifes, to consistantly go on here, an plus what will do my head in is when if we come up the moaners will be saying yeah well done the villa great an bruce we love u, when everyone on here knows all of us don't moan u get on with it an stand by your club players an manager .

To all the fans who have slagged me of for my negativity blogs I will now say what a pleasure it is to see villa play exciting football And with the flair to take the championship by storm,
I'm very excited about the coming season and I beg all fans to get behind there team,
Bruce has been a breath of fresh air a manager we have been waiting for a number of years,

Well it's a bloody good statistic 98% I bow down to your superior knowledge then as you are always right plus I don't want to control people opinions everyone is entitled to them but to constantly slag off your team when they are supposed to be fans is wrong and offensive and as you can see by the response to their posts they are pissing off them too.

People constantly telling them they should not be saying those things and that they should shut up or be banned etc. Why can't you just scroll past what you don't want to read? People have tried to explain but it falls on deaf ears they constantly go on I bet you have responded to a bad poster when they slag off your team or go on and constantly wind you up but see you have the powers to either kick them off a forum or ban them altogether we are just

{Ed001's Note - so scroll past. Most of the time I just ignore people I have no interest in talking with. It is why I don't bother with social media. It is not worth getting wound up over. I have found walking away from the comp for a few minutes a good way to stop myself responding when wound up. Or play a game for a bit. I usually leave something running in the background to go to the minute I am fed up with the constant badgering we editors get on the Prem sites. People there ask the same questions over and over and over again, hundreds of times a day. It is like being in a car with kids asking 'are we there yet' constantly.
I have found that having the power to kick people or ban people makes me less inclined to do so to be honest. The things I tend to kick or ban for are those we have listed in our t&cs as offences, such as constant abuse of others posters or editors and multiple accounts. I think that is more down to laziness than anything else, it is the effort of being bothered to delete or ban them, when I can just delete their posts and have a good laugh at how wound up they get when they see their posts are not going on the page. Eventually they usually take the hint and calm down.
Sorry am rambling on now, I do that when I am tired. All these early mornings getting up to edit the sites are not good for a night owl like me!}

I do think different opinions, views and ideas are healthy, but give it, once. Don't preach it.
I DO think being as negative as you are before a season starts is uninteresting, counter productive and unintelligent.
I also think if villa became successful, you both would find a problem with it.
But these are my opinions, and as you rightly say, I'm entitled to them as well.

I never agreed with Steve Bruce's appointment in the first place and he has done nothing the convince me I was wrong. His signings have been pretty good but his style of play is not.

I totally understand that the pre season friendlies are just that a chance to get fit and get some miles under their belt. Worryingly it is the lack of shots that concerns me. If you don't shoot you don't score - simple. Can anyone remember the Shrews keeper making a save?
I know some will say it will be a different forward line etc. etc. in the league but what does that say about our strength in depth. We have been shot shy for the last 5 years (kodja excepted) .
Yes I think Terry and Johnstone are good signings but for every goal we conceed we have to score 2 to win games.

Some posters on here relish the fact that they are able to hammer people with more cautious views.
They are called negative moaners when really they believe that they are realists, even idealists.
Until evidence is shown then none of us is sure where we are going.
If we are unsuccessful then those who positive in their views will of course apologise to all the posters that have been driven off here by them.
The Ed is right, live with those that don't agree with you as there are many more than you think.
Personally I get pissed off with the constant battering by the few who are certain that AVFC are going in the right direction when the evidence is not there.

Best of it is Kenn it's their 1st friendly altogether as the 1st 1 was split into 2 groups in 2 different friendlies I don't think some people can grasp that thought as I played at a decent level I know what these friendlies mean but I think the other 2 should stick to football manager on their computers or playing blow football.
{Ed007's Note - It does my nut in how serious some fans take friendlies, Daz. Celtic played a CL qualifier in Belfast on Friday night and had a friendly with Lyon on Saturday. Apart from 2 players it was a totally different team full of new signings (4 players made their home debut) and squad players and by the end of the game we had 7 academy players on the park and fans were moaning because we got beat 4-0 with 3 of the goals coming late on in the second half when we had all the kids on.}

It's not the losing that bothers me in friendlys mate,
What I see is the same in most games where Bruce has been manager,
He has had more than double the games in charge than garde who let's face it had no help with buying anybody and was treated very unfairly in my opinion,
De matteo teams played better football than the present one but cound not defend for the 90 mins,
Bruce is not my choice of manager but I said I would give him a fair crack at the job to prove me wrong,
I really hope it works,
But if he sent teams out in a more positive attacking mode I would be happy with that,
I've been a season ticket holder for many many years and I still say this team is strong enough to win the championship but the manager worries me big time with his lack of tactical knowledge.

I find it very amusing when I see other posters slagging me off because of my negativity towards villa!
What I have seen on the pitch since Bruce came in is negative football which has bored me to tears.
I expect much better than this with money spent on squad,
So I'm sorry if I don't agree with most of you because I have my honest opinion on the state of my club.
Of course I want to see us in the premiership and hopefully this year but there has to be a big improvement for that to happen.
Step up Bruce it's your time to show if you really are the real deal or if not bring in someone else who can,
You have had more time than previous manager's to get it right.

It's true ed it really boils my wee wee it gets serious with the last 2 friendlies shape, formation, tactics, and getting the right balance and fitness some people just can't grasp it but eh I suppose these 2 are right and the rest of us are wrong.

There is nothing to be positive about Aston Villa they keep making the same mistakes over and over again they have the same bad influences Micah Richards Gabby agbonlahor. They keep picking bad manager after bad manager and after the first six games you will know exactly what I mean. Surely will not lead to belive that the team that come 13th last season I know already to win the league? He's a test for them let's try and beat Barnsley twice 1st.

I feel in Bruce we have the best championship manager around.
Friendly games are for getting players match fit. Yes we all like to win 5 nil each game but that doesn't happen. People like wtw slamming the team all the time makes me laugh. Because if we smash the league he be first saying he prèdicted it and how great a team/ manager we have.

Mainbob Iam only talking to you here by the way. Facts are we have recruted badly and spent a lot of money and we have picked 2 wrong managers Rdm and Mr Bruce. Last season We was 1 of the lowest scorers in the league because of his borring negative football and we finished 13th so what makes everybody think that we are going to win the league this year? Also I have asked 100s of times and flackie and villa daz don't have a answer what is steve bruces style of play and plan? Me and you are right mate I had this with them When we had Rdm last season b4 it kicked off I said we was in trouble and they said I was negative and guess what rdm put Villa in a lower half then was sacked I got nothing saying sorry you was right they just went on then slating Rdm and saying how great Bruce is. Its got nothing to do with a friendly they are pointless its to do with picking the wrong manager once again! Your manager is your biggest signing if you get it wrong you end up like this.

If you can't see Bruce's style you must be blind! He sets up from the back, solid gk and a solid back line then he gets a solid cm to marshal in front of the back line allowing. The rest of the team to be creative and hopefully go and win the game, keeping it solid at the back keeps us in the game to potentially grab a goal or two. It's a tried and tested and proven recipe for success, if your in doubt check his record.

I am 66 this year and have supported my team since I was 6, But I don't deserve a reply from bloggers because I talk rubbish!
Some of these on here are deluded if they think the football on offer is acceptable,
I remember the Billy McNeil team who were also useless but I don't blame the players one little bit accept the usual suspects.
Until Bruce realises it's a results business and to get the crowds in a entertainment business as well. I go to every game home and away so I am entitled to my opinion on my team. I like a debate on the villa but it seems we 2 are the outsiders.

There teams have won major honours like ourselves, but have been on the doldrums for a lot longer than we have .
I am a firm believer in negativity breeds negativity . The Lerner era was terrible with the entire club bad to the core

We have a new owner who wants the best for us, a man who has put his money where his mouth is!

However let's face it the serial moaners on here haven't liked any manager we have had since Martin O'Neil . maybe that's because we have been awful since Lerner took over!
We now have an owner who is taking an interest, has a good support network around him, has backed the team financially and is doing all he can to get up back up .
In my optinion he is a great owner who has my respect . This respect is enough to offer my support and backing to his choice of manager!
As opposed to just continually moaning about Bruce and his football style of his purchases just back the team with everything you have until the end of the season and the. Judge
If we don't go up or have a poor season, I would envisage that Dr Tony will be lining up the bullet to fire Bruce like he did di Matteo.
