I'm here now. It's all going off. Can't wait to go home.

17 Aug 2017 18:49:17
Is anyone else worried that we havnt got anyone who will score a goal Saturday? It's all down to gabby.

17 Aug 2017 19:17:56
Fear not Rich_, bruce has stated we need at least 1 striker, so we're going for colback from newcastle and snodgrass from west ham, job done!

18 Aug 2017 09:49:01
I can see it being a close one on Saturday. We're at home (which could make or break the players confidence), Norwich will attack and keep the ball high up the pitch, and play through the middle. This might play into our hands at home, as we play wide and sit deeper.

A lack of goalscorer might be a problem, but if Hourihane has his shooting boots on now it would really help. Can possibly see the Villa scoring from a set piece, Norwich getting one back and a naff goal from Gabby to save us (and Steve for another week) .

18 Aug 2017 10:43:08
Only plus point for tomorrow is the possible return of Jedi.
We have more of a chance of winning with him in side but only just!
It will be a close thing,
Whoever scores first is a massive factor,
If we score first then Bruce will park the bus and make it horrible viewing,
If Norwich score first we will leave more gaps at back for Norwich to score more goals,
Not going to predict a score but all I will say is keep your fingers tightly crossed.

John Terry apparently spends 4 days with Villa and 2 days at chelsea recuperating in a ice bath this comes from a newspaper says Terry spending to much time at Chelsea was pictured there in a ice bath. Your views?

17 Aug 2017 18:23:37
Must be true then.

17 Aug 2017 18:38:37
Quite impressed he only lives 6 day weeks, misses one day when he goes to Pluto. I said this weeks ago mate, seems like he lives at the Belfry 4 days a week and 3 days a week at his home in Chelsea and goes to their training ground. Think it's ridiculous personally, especially as he is our captain, doesn't sound like he's committed to us. judging by his Instagram he's missing at least 1 training session a week, and it's not as though we've got off to a flying start, or even a good defensive start; So far he looks a downgrade on Baker and every minute we have they should be spending on the training field working on the defensive shape and as a group. All we heard all preseason was good start this good start that, bar winning the next 3 games we can kiss that good start goodbye. We need all the players here committed if we are to get anywhere. Bruce's tactics have been abismal and the reason why we haven't been scoring, however his tactics aren't the reason why we've conceded 6 goals in 3 games, that's down to the players.

Well sb has 3 games to save job . would any1 want warnock as our manager i would he does a great job at every club plus he's nit scared of modern day players so he give them harsh words when its needed same goes with big sam, i know there not everyones favs there not mine but u have to admit its not about favs this time its about who is best for the job an who can take us out of this league and i think they would b3 good choices to sort out this mess.

17 Aug 2017 16:00:54
Warnock probably would struggle same way Bruce have, both good managers on a tight budget with robust squads.

17 Aug 2017 16:44:51
Does no, onetake into account all the injuries and to key players at the club. three games is ridiculous as all these players will still be out.

17 Aug 2017 13:10:34
Dunelms have got a sale on if anyone wants to get bed sheets for their get Bruce out banners.

17 Aug 2017 13:39:49
That's brilliant!

I'm on my way!

17 Aug 2017 11:26:21
Thinking about Saturday, would anybody be that shocked to see us win? At home we seem a completely different team, against hull we dominated them first half and probably should of been 3/ 4 nil up, lost our legs second half and Bruce waited and waited until they scored to add some energy but then we had the golden chances again. That being said should we win it will probably hold us back, as Bruce will be given more time and it will relax the board, instead of stepping up efforts to replacing him. Norwich are a good side this season and their boss is somewhat unknown, not going to give a full 11 because we have no positive to the side so far this season, last season we were brilliant defensively now we get pulled apart like kids. Hope to see some of Davis, RHM, O'hare, Doyle-Hayes and Lyden involved tho, and tbf with the defense looking so shakey and "the biggest championship signing ever" looking out of place, it would be good to see Toner, Suliman or Beaduo given a chance.

17 Aug 2017 17:48:11
No Villa 2 vs 0 Norwich.

18 Aug 2017 08:49:08
Oh no.

17 Aug 2017 09:23:37
Has anyone else noticed that Steve Bruce appears to be blaming anyone and everyone for our diabolical displays? Maybe he should be looking a bit closer to home. Yes, the players have to take responsibility but come on, recent comments include, they haven't had time to gel, injuries, work in progress, no passion, and the latest, they are overwhelmed by the size of the club and are scared! Seriously Steve, man up and accept that YOU are also responsible, you have been at our club for 10 months now, more than enough time to work with the players and for everyone to get an understanding of how you want us to play. Your methods are obviously not as great as you make them out to be. Stop blaming everyone else, be honest and accept that you have failed to deliver. We would all respect you a lot more for your honesty rather than making constant excuses in an attempt to save your job, which at the moment stinks of desperation.

17 Aug 2017 10:52:09
Totally agree about the Bruce now blaming the players because they are scared to play?
What rubbish excuses coming from him now,
I had respect for Bruce about him being so honest in the past but now he is cluching at straws to save his job,
Now he is expecting another response this Saturday,
How many responses does he want!
We have heard this all season now and it's getting tedious now,
Must win is a understatement now,
I'm not judging Bruce on these 3 games only it's the 45+ games which he has had,
He has had more than enough money and time to show some improvement alas not a lot!

17 Aug 2017 12:31:38
SB says we all got carried away with the signing of Terry. No Steve it was you who got carried away and sold Baker. The defence was the best part of the team last season. Now we have Samba, Richards or Elphich with no back up if Taylor is injured.
Taxi for Mr Bruce?

17 Aug 2017 16:52:09
Calderwood takes most of the training think he needs replacing.

17 Aug 2017 08:46:16
I agree with what Harry rednapp that you don't need to spend millions to get out the championship,
Proper management and proper tactics is what's needed,
Why do we keep on paying huge fees and wages to get players?
Seen in the guardian that our wage bill is still around the 70 million Mark!
Most teams are bringing in players from lower leaques for next to nothing,
We never learn .
Oh to have a manager and backroom staff who can pick out talent for peanuts,
There are plenty out there,

17 Aug 2017 10:14:13
I agree, I think that we should copy Fulham in terms of using a system where analytics and the managers opinion are both used before getting in transfers. We'd get more bang for buck, and have the money to make it work better than Fulham.

17 Aug 2017 10:29:57
I'm agreeing with you bob on quiet a lot of posts recently .

i posted around two months ago that we don't need to spend a fortune to get out this division .

Look at the promoted clubs last season, take Newcastle out the equation and Brighton and Huddersfield both got
promoted on a shoe string.

17 Aug 2017 10:57:23
Thanks villa-kenn for us both having the same views on the villa,
Look at warnock spent under 3mill and has brought in good solid players who at the moment have shown to be good buys,
Mind you I hate warnock as a person but you can't knock his record for getting the best from his players,
I'm looking at villa every week and I see no plan to improve us,
