Hutton or bacuna? Personally Hutton for me I can't flat him for trying always gives an option going forward, I just can't forgive bacuna for last season
This is a big weekend we have the bar codes next so we really need to start clawing back points which is not impossible
But guys we have no god given right to go up this season we have to earn the right to get to the big league it's not going to be handed to us teams are going to try that bit harder test themself's against us but I do beleave we will go up via the play offs
Even if we don't it's not the end of the world it would be squad molded toget her and we'll ready for the prem
WE ARE ASTON VILLA AND WE WILL SIT AT THE BIG TABLE AGAIN.

16 Sep 2016 21:38:13
Can't fault huttons heart and desire but Bacuna has been twice the player the games he's played this season so no brainer for me.

16 Sep 2016 21:39:13
Teams try harder against Newcastle as well mick.
But I do agree teams do try harder, but until we sort our midfield out we are going to struggle.
Strikers need feeding, we have no food at the moment, we will pick up points here and there.

16 Sep 2016 23:50:07
I agree, but both Hutton and bacuna are better than cissocco!
De laet on right, Hutton left for me.

16 Sep 2016 23:54:03
As I said that read re de laet!
Gutted.

16 Sep 2016 16:48:18
Just a question.
Grealish is pretty to watch but does he add anything to the team?

16 Sep 2016 17:17:54
He's added 2 goals this season.

16 Sep 2016 17:34:06
he seems to be one them players that yes he can run and dribble but struggles to get a shot of and seems to trip over his own feet or the ball just gets lost under his feet.

i like the lad and think he could be a great player over the years but he needs to stop over trying (not a word but can't think what word to use) and get his head up a bit.

16 Sep 2016 19:21:57
He isn't a striker, yes for the positions he gets in he should score more but anyone who has watched villa this season will have seen, he occupies 3 players at once sometimes, teams double up on him because their scared. He gets attacks started, keeps attacks moving and does his defensive duties (well so far this season he has) we missed him against Brentford, his guile and willingness to always have the ball and be calm and collected.

16 Sep 2016 21:10:11
Trouble is Chris he should be releasing the ball sooner when he is occupying three players, we might just score more goals, he runs into trouble too often.
He is learning granted, but he does not learn quick enough IMO.

16 Sep 2016 21:40:09
All opinions isn't it! I can see what your saying 100% about time on the ball an releasing it quicker but I think we really missed him vs Brentford and our best team involves grealish left mid and adomah right mid!

16 Sep 2016 21:51:55
Yes I agree mate.

17 Sep 2016 11:56:18
villadave that was what i was trying to say, has the abilty to turn a game on its head but just always seems to take one touch to many.

16 Sep 2016 11:36:04
This thing about dr. tony an twitter is stupid! Its his club and he has right to say what he likes his spent a fortune the only people who is letting aston villa down is the players and the manager if we won he would praise us. What ever he says has no effect on the villa as he says it after the game! stop making excuses blaming the only guy whos done good 4 villa dr. tony. he trusted rdm and so far rdm has done nothink back for him if results don't pick up he will be sacked! huddesfield brenford forrest all at home and we couldn't win takin apart by bristol city pathetic he is a awful manager with no clùe about tackics! Leave dr. tony alone blame RDM. Dr. tony is so far away this is how he communicates with the fans i for 1 love everythink about our chairman apart from his 1st choice hiring that clown rdm.

16 Sep 2016 13:30:16
That is absolute rubbish, I back Tony 100%. But by saying just because someone owns a club they can say and do what they want is bull. There is a lot of public interest in a club such as Villa, that always has to be taken into account.

16 Sep 2016 13:46:58
Your love for Tony seems to be going border line non-platonic. I'm ok with that, each to their own.

16 Sep 2016 14:20:06
he got everybody rdm wanted he has kept to his word. you can't have it both ways 1 min you want to be kept in the loop with our club next you want him to shut up. The real blames is with the players and the manager not the dr. tony his the only 1 who has got things right 1 thing he may have got wrong is rdm but everythink looked good on paper so i don't blame him! Villa can still turn this around but don't silence the chairman if you shut him up you have a chairman thousends of miles away an no contact with the club. He has soent the most in the league he has right to want to see somethink back from it! I really love his ambition and all we need to do is find a good manager to match that! UTV SOTC.

16 Sep 2016 16:12:06
Sorry but his Twitter is getting embarrassing after a draw the other day he said "I think another chat is needed" like he's the messiah. He makes himself look clueless and undermines the manager, we all wanted some stability but at this rate either do matteo will walk out or he'll be sacked because of the owner inexperience and childishness.

16 Sep 2016 16:20:56
he wouldn't be saying all this if rdm made this team win a game would he there would be praise. If results dnt happen you can't blame the chairman blame the manager and his players they deserve slagging so far this season they have only won 1 game its crap again if they carry this form up they could go down because same as last season they don't win! Now dr. tony will sack him soon or later because he an his players aren't wining games simple we spent a fortune we should be blowing this league away or at least top 6.

16 Sep 2016 16:42:50
No one wants him to shut up, but there is a line. I am strongly against slating employees on a public platform for millions to see, how does that help our situation. He has done so much good for the club but in this occasion, I'm sorry, he is wrong.

16 Sep 2016 17:20:38
Saying stupid things, in public, for all to see is always something Mrknowitall is always going to be on board with VillaSA
I'd keep my powder dry on this one if I were you.

16 Sep 2016 19:24:53
Sorry mrknowitall but no one mentioned the team losing so it seems your clutching at straws to back your point up, the owner was a breath of fresh air but he has now reached the line and is in danger of crossing it. However this week he seems to have roped it in a bit, maybe someone (little, wyness) has had a word.

16 Sep 2016 20:27:33
Ye Mendex, you're right, it's like beating your head against a brick wall.

16 Sep 2016 21:22:29
Fickle villa fans strike again 1st they want the chairman to speak now they dont. silly make your mind up so its ok for him and me to talk as long as you agree with what we say? Freedom of speech says you can't tell anybody what to do or say!

16 Sep 2016 21:41:04
Don't have a clue what your on about now talking nonsense.

16 Sep 2016 22:35:34
Nobody is trying to stop anyone saying what they think. But freedom of speech is a double edged sword.
If you express your opinion in a public forum you have to expect people to exercise their freedom of speech and comment/ respond to what you say.
Saying something daft then bleating when people say "that's daft"
is sort of, ya know, daft.

16 Sep 2016 16:07:39
at some point richards is going to have to play. now rdm wanted him gone but the doctor trotted out 'vital member of our team' so we're going to see whether he really wanted more money and still thinks he can get more in january from clubs in trouble, or does he start making noises about richards getting some game time.

16 Sep 2016 09:16:07
Something that is getting a little frustrating for me from the Villa camp is communication.

Now we had this problem under the Lerner regime. Yes we get twitter updates from Tony, but these are now turning to vents of frustration against the manager that shouldn't be aired in public, I think it is going to cause conflict that we don't need that doesn't galvanise the team and tells us nothing important.

The info I want to know is, why was Grealish not even on the bench, how far are Tshibola and Adomah from coming back. Updates on McCormack and De Laet and how much has this affected RDM's first team selection and tactical plan. ie. eg. Is Tshibola first choice over Westwood.

I think we all want to know when the results are less that desirable at this early early stage, what is the plan, what are short term targets, rather than the manger saying we are making silly mistakes when trying to close out games, yes I agree to some extent, but if you are tactically astute especially with our attack, should our defenders be in a position where there is too much pressure on them to close out a game.

If we were dominating the way we should, the defenders wouldn't be in a position where the pressure builds to a point where a small mistake is inevitable. Yes we will have games where we will have to grind a win and park the bus. but this should be small percentage, against some of the tougher teams away from home for example.
