Has anybody else got the feeling that the final will be decided by the odd goal and John terry will get the winner. Just meant to be.

16 May 2018 22:09:47
Yes to the score, no to JT scoring.
We need him to stay home and put Mitroviic in his pocket.
Leave this bloke on his own and we will be punished. Class player that should be in the prem, hopefully with AVFC.
Is he on loan to Fulham?
I think it is a diet of raw meat and cottage pie through to 7pm on the 26th.

Just in before we even get close to the final next week, the year we went down we watched a team who put in 50% every week, we're only here for a pay check and didn't care to hide that. We sung nearly every week "we want our Villa back" and after watching the last two games, irrelevant of the result next week, we've got our Villa back. These lads genuinely care and put in 200% for us, last night we wasn't our best in terms of football, no where near the play we have seen at points this season, however in terms of effort, I haven't seen a Villa team give as much as that in a long time. I can't think of a loan player who has give us as much as Snodgrass has, if you didn't know better watching last night you'd think he'd played here all his life and Villa was his boyhood team. Hourihane the same, when you thought they was knackered last night and someone would be breaking through, out of no where one of them would come flying from no where and get the ball back. You could go through every player but they would 100% run through walls through brick walls to get the result last night. The final is 90 minutes and if we bring that level of effort and even a half of the football and endeavour we did against Bristol, Wolves then I think we definitely have enough to win, Fulham are very good and unlucky to not make automatics but they bottled it last year, bottled the chance to go up automatic on the last day against Blues and they are 110% beatable, like everyone I'm nervous but they aren't Barcelona, let's play our game and get back to where we belong. I hope and pray we go and get this result, for us the fans, for the players themselves and mostly for Bruce after the year his had. But as I started off with, irrelevant of the result, we have for the first time in a long time a manager who is 100% commited, and a squad who want to play for us and give us everything they've got. We've got our Villa back.

Amazing.
We have just qualified for the playoff final but no one has anything to say.
Does this indicate that while we are elated we are feeling a little cautious?
I thought we contained Boro but did little to excite.
All the past 48 games now mean nothing, just one game left and this is the one, the only one this season.
Can we beat Fulham?
Yes.
We won at VP and lost at the Cottage and Wembley is neutral.
Our back line must be solid and keep Mitroviic quiet, JT has done this role many times and he wants us in the prem.
Let's get ready to roar them up to the prem, and celebrate.
We can, we want we will.

I thought it was a bit quiet myself oldvillan, we have a chance of going back to the big time yet no joyous posts or euphoria, its a shame.
Yes I also think we can beat Fulham, “but and it’s a big but” we will have to up our game significantly to do it.
I think if we play like we did against Borough we will get beat, you cannot sit that deep and invite a team like Fulham onto you and not expect to get punished, they are slick and very creative.
I watched Fulham over the two legs against Derby, they are a very good side, direct, defend well, rarely give the ball away, and are quick, you could count the times they passed back to their keeper on one hand.
Yes I have no doubt we will get our chances in the game, and we must take them or rue the day.
Therefore I will not shout or spout the odds about the final until the fat lady has sung her song.
I might sound like a Fulham sympathizer, not at all, I adore my club Aston Villa and have supported them passionately for 63 yrs, I want nothing more than a Villa victory.

Dave I did post but got put on rumours . I agree with what you say, we have to get in their faces and not give them any room . How dare I say it but that’s how the Noses beat them . Closed them down and gave them no room to play, it means working hard, but the Premiership is worth working hard for . I still believe with the players and experience we’ve got we are capable of beating them . Wembely is a funny place, can do strange things to inexperienced players .

Face I agree with majority of what you’ve said here, but about Fulham, yes they look good but over the two legs they scored two goals, the Sessegnon goal was very fortunate and the other a set piece, they look to play out from the back and that is their biggest weakness and exploring that is how we’ve beat them at Villa Park the last two years. We need a better performance than last night but if we bring the levels of Wolves or Bristol at home then I think we can beat them. We won’t be going into this game with a 1-0 lead to protect, personally I think the first goal will decide the game, if they score it we’ve got to go out and get back into it leaving gaps they can easily exploit with the slickness in passing and speed they have, if we score first we are on of the best defensive sides in the division and we can hit them on the counter.

Chris, who’s face? HaHa.

I meant Dave😂🙈.

There is one Fulham player who some villa fans have not mentioned as a danger to villa and that is Fredricks,
Last 3 times we have played them he has been man of match,
very quick with top delivery,
So with him on one wing and sessegnon on the other wing that is where we have to cut there supply to them,
But if we do that we will win this game in my opinion,

17 May 2018 10:11:55
He got man of the match when we beat them? Sometimes you let your love of a player make your imagination run wild, you used to do it a bit with O’hare.

17 May 2018 13:50:45
Have a look at the games against Fulham and tell me who gave us the most trouble!
As for ohare I still he is a player in the making,

17 May 2018 14:03:46
And what's this remark mate of me letting my imagination run wild?
Please enlighten me!

17 May 2018 19:36:58
You said he was man of the match the last 3 times he played us, I simply pointed out that is highly unlikely considering they lost one of those games. You clearly like the player because you’ve mentioned him a few times, I too like the player and I do believe he’s on a bosman in the summer, if we go up he’d be one of my top priorities, would be hard mind as Everyman and their dog will be after him. The imagination bit was just a joke mate don’t take it to heart, I was just joking that when you like a player you seem to exaggerate aspects of them, such as him being man of the match the last 3 times we played them, even in defeat, and O’hares ability earlier in the season.

18 May 2018 07:43:25
You can still be man of the match in a losing side you know!
But asides from that I accept your views,

We just move on,

18 May 2018 12:53:06
I think Terry got man of the match last game at villa park.
