Jesus I wish I didn't live in Leicester today.

16 May 2016 21:42:43
At least you know where they are, down victoria park hugging the trees!

17 May 2016 00:02:25
Hi flackie well going away on our coach we stop off at little villages on the way for a beer. after the game we went to a little village having a nice beer when all of a sudden a mob of leicester fans came in2 the pub aswel now some of the lads were decent eg we loving going villa park sorry your down but then the rest of them came up to me chanting songs and also saying they hate us an there glad we are down so after it nearly kicking off i felt a bit gutted that we couldn't say anythink back really but overall verdict they don't like us an we don't like them! There was loads of 'em at Toddington services on Sunday, the queue for Greggs was about 50 deep, don't they know you can buy crisps at WH Smiths too? Was looking forward to my sausage baguette too.

Ha ha!!
I'm having a sneaky £5 they drop next year!

17 May 2016 09:27:09
no chance. unless they lose Vardy and mahrez then they could be in trouble. if they keep both top 8 next season I recon. 7th I'd say.

17 May 2016 09:52:31
I'm with Flackie, after about the strangest season I can remember, wouldn't surprise me 1 bit if they went down, all those extra games will make their league form suffer, they're going to lose a few players to bigger clubs, they'll get good money for 'em, but you can't buy team spirit, which is how they won it, and us throwing 3 points away at their ground

Well I've been a member on here for a while, but haven't posted yet. I'm the one who had the reply off Ian Tayls last night. Now what's got me thinking is the last few statements have been in the afternoon so why at 8am this morning for the latest one. It's also rumours that the whole coaching staff were called to BMH this morn for an immediate briefing. I for one expect another announcement to come out today, as bevington had apparently left 4 weeks ago and was asked not to make it public til end of season. Lads I'm not an ITK just my own thoughts with a lot of Internet research UTV SOTC.

17 May 2016 10:08:03
Welcome mate 👍🏻

17 May 2016 10:13:37
Cheers pal UTV.

17 May 2016 11:16:21
Off to the King power this month to watch Kasabian. No doubt there will be blue shirts everywhere and the overwhelming smell of creosote.

17 May 2016 11:39:24
Quality! 🙌🏻

So it's all over and now the rumour mill really kicks in, but let's look logically at this. Would lerner make all the redundancies and close the top trinity if he was going anywhere, surely he would leave that to any new owners. No new manager because they would be working for lerner.
Thoughts?

16 May 2016 14:57:35
no we have had what 6 to 8 weeks to get a manager if Lerner was staying and it would of been in our best interests to of got one asap so as to look at squad and make a plan going forward. we gain nothing by waiting for one if nothing is happening. there is a takeover it is real you will see very very soon.

16 May 2016 21:14:47
Good point Southern Villain
Whilst seemingly more plausible, this whole takeover talk has the familiar hollow ring of previous seasons
Hope I'm wrong.
Unfortunately, being absolutely right about everything has been a burden I have had to carried for most of my life.
Honest it has, ask Mrs Mendax!

16 May 2016 21:40:46
Mendax that burden is called taking one for the boys. I just get tired of the constant bs thrown about by the tabloids. I'll believe it when I see it. Just a nagging that things don't add up. King villa I hope you take some of the mendax burden and be right for once.

16 May 2016 21:45:11
Modesty, sir, a blessing and sometimes a scurge, you must have broad shoulders, that and hiding your light under a bushell, an inspiration to all and sundry!

16 May 2016 23:34:01
Cheers Gents. My burden feels a lighter light, thanks to your understanding.

17 May 2016 03:31:13
Dear santa claus, please can you make kingvilla be 2 million per cent right and for there to be an anouncement tomorrow confirming the takover is complete, word to the wise, if you don't, we'll send round jimmy cranky to be your chief helper, you've been warned mate, i reckon you won't last more than 2 days of that laugh, get it ironed out, lively!

17 May 2016 03:50:09
Just a quick one for southernvillain, one of the papers said the new owners specified that they wanted all the redundancies etc sorted out before they take over so that the negativity attached to this happening has no attachment to them, the more unsavoury piece of info they talked of was employing someone to look into selling the rights to renaming the stadium, i hope this doesn't happen, knowing how clueless these executives are they'll be talking to walkers crisps before you know it, or the west bromich building society (if its around anymore), you just know those doughnuts will nause it up again!

17 May 2016 07:48:04
Tbh, it's alway going to be Villa Park in everyone's eyes, if renaming it brings us in a tonne of cash so we can compete, it's still going to be Villa Park

UTV.

17 May 2016 08:56:38
Your right, your right;but there's still that romantic notion in my head that though others change (i know for the greater good, marketing avenues, etc, ) the thought of remaining independent, of not selling our identity for the corporate buck i find appealing, but as you say, a ton of money knows no language barrier, progress is progress, but still the numpty in me wants to stick two fingers up to following perceived marketing opportunity man, let our souls run free in the cathedral of our ground, power to the people wolfy (wow, showing me age, and the lesson for today, don't have a triple shot in your coffee, it be ripping me brain cell apart (well, what little there is of it! ) vtid and beyond the barrier man!

17 May 2016 10:02:54
Fair play to ya 82, let's hope by the end of today that we're owned by someone with deep pockets and listens to us fans, I'm off to Starbucks 👍🏻

UTV.

17 May 2016 13:37:24
Class of 82. I do hope your right but if I was buying the club I would want a full house every week after backing the new manager with pennies from heaven to put together a masterful team. I get what your saying about getting all the bad news done before hand to make themselves look good. However am I being cynical by questioning their back bone if they need others to do their dirty work.

17 May 2016 13:48:41
I hope its Starbucks who buys us!

17 May 2016 14:14:58
No southernvillian, your not wrong to doubt, after 5 years of jackanorys you'd be mad mot to! but that's why we have the oracle, the man who has more of the inside track than the hare in greyhound racing, the stars above have aligned, and so it has come to pass our prayers have been answered, and they called him villa-'KINGVILLA'! -and i believe in him, come join us in the path of fulfillment (and medication! )

17 May 2016 14:49:52
Pure Class, classof82. As the monkees said I'm a Believer. Praise be the oracle.

17 May 2016 16:24:25
Amen brother!

16 May 2016 13:10:22
It shows what a useless idiot Black is, he has stated that the players gave their all for the club, in his time in charge . How someone calling himself an experienced professional football coach, can come out with a statement like this you can't believe . Even my Mrs on her times of watching on the TVs, says not enough effort and they don't look as if they are trying . Mr Black get out, & retake your badges.

16 May 2016 09:23:25
Now we will see after all the rumours is there a takeover an a manager in place iam waiting a anouncement or will we let it drag on 11 weeks to get a new owner a new manager an new players ummm going to have to get a move on.

16 May 2016 11:53:44
your just bitter because you keep getting it wrong, "mr. know. it. all" far from I think. !

16 May 2016 12:18:55
Well said Loyal Supporter Lol, Yes the sooner the better that the takeover is announced for sure but with the transfer window not officially opening until July 1st I don't think there is any great rush just yet so no need to panic. I'm sure the powers that be will announce when they feel the time is right for all concerned.

16 May 2016 12:20:32
how have i got it wrong how as anybody got anythink wrong nothinks happend yet. and i havnt predicted anythink just asked questions on the rumours that have gone on like everybody else. I have nothink to be bitter about we all want the best for our club i go home and away and have done for 25 years all iam bitter about is randy lerner for letting it get this bad! UTV.

16 May 2016 12:53:32
Mr. know. f. a. lmao.

16 May 2016 13:48:08
You are right i don't know anythink the names a joke pal but i follow my club home an away an havnt missed a game it 25 years so i have right to a opinion and all i have said is they should get a move on because the whole club needs sorting top to bottom how am i right or wrong about anythink if you asked any villa fan they would say the same.

16 May 2016 16:37:36
I think he is winding you up Mr. know. it. all that's why we have the word banter at the top of the page, don't let it get to you it's just a bit of fun until we have some real news to write about.

16 May 2016 16:49:29
takeover to be announced this week. tomoz is when I'm thinking due to a whisper or two.

16 May 2016 21:42:38
hope your right kingvilla anytime now would be good for me, just a few loose ends i guess but nothing unusual so all is good.

16 May 2016 07:07:11
after seeing joey Barton doing well for burnley this season I think an old head in our cm is a must next season. hopefully stan plays a part but I don't think he will be fit enough to play no where near all the games. how about moving for Gareth Barry to come and end his career with us and help us get back to where we should be. I feel he won't get loads of games at Everton and could play every week for us.

16 May 2016 08:42:50
GB is one of the best pros and the nicest bloke ever to wear our shirt. Would love him back.

16 May 2016 09:13:57
Good shout and how about trying to get James Collins off West Ham?

UTV.

16 May 2016 12:06:38
I would never take a player back who walked out on us for money to give the best years of his career to another club, have you gone completely mad. Decisions like that is why the club is where it is, we want fresh hungry players not old timers looking to graze their last few seasons away.

16 May 2016 12:51:27
Hi Loyal supporter, Gareth Barry saw what was coming and was courted by the scouser and then city. He went for a better job.
If you were offered a better job you would take it, no doubt.
Before GB went to the Toffees I posted that we should try and get him back to AV and a lot of posters agreed with you but he has been great for them.
Players of his standard should be welcomed back with open arms and even given the arm band.
Some years back we sold Bruce Rioch and on his first return to VP the entire crowd stood and chanted "Rioch the king of Villa Park. "
Sad to lose him but delighted we had him.
Same goes for Barry.

16 May 2016 21:52:43
I'm not saying that i wouldn't take a better job if offered oldvillan i am just saying that i would not expect to be welcomed back when my use in my new job was no more, besides that things never seem to work out as well second time around plus he is at the end of his career, personally i would prefer new blood or maybe someone not quite so old.

16 May 2016 00:20:08
So that's that season over. Somehow I thought that it would be a relief no more heartache. But now I sit down with a few cheeky VAT's and I realise that the pain is worse than ever. We are now in the championship and that hurts. Down with Small Heath not dreaming of European nights and checking that my passport is in date. Vodka doesn't taste the same with my tears as a mixer.

16 May 2016 16:51:25
gb had the chance to earn more and win things. you can't blame the guy for wanting to do the best in his career that he could. he always gave 110% for villa and would be a great player to sit in there with some youth around him.
