I've heard that Gary Megson is high on the list of candidates?
Paul Faulkner said;
"We want to find someone to reinvigorate the club,"
"We want someone to bring some vibrancy back to Villa. That's what we need and that's what we're going to get. A disaster would have been getting relegated but this was too close for comfort."
Well; Megson ticks all the right boxes-
1) Dynamic.
2) Likes to play fluent "Brazilian Style" football.
3) Available for work (no compensation to pay).
4) Lives in the area (no relocation costs).
You can forget McCarthy, Its Gary Megson just wait and see!

Yet another loser, we need a winner as the new manager not someone like, Megson, Bruce, McCarthy.

Bruce would be a decent manager he built a decent squad at sunderland and sold players on for profit
He also guided them to mid table finishes not a bad choice!!
I'd like to see Poyet or ole guna Soljsar but I'd be happy with Bruce as i know he'd be good in the transfer window and improve the squad not buying donkey's like Heskey,Beye,N'zogbia, Hutton

Sorry mate your wrong on bruce he is tactically inept, sunderland won two home games in the whole of 2011.
Bruce has no class and just makes excuses after excuses for his failings. He still moans about his safc departure even now.
We have been waiting for a left back at sunderland for 3 years now he is clueless.O,Neil will no doubt get us out of the mess we are in now.
Bruce signed some shockers last summer.
Mcleish I better than bruce and so is villa.

What prat wrote this? Dalgliesh is a yesterdays man. His spending at LFC was appalling and he is through and through LFC which would not be good for AVFC.

Personally I fell like we could expierence quite a few changes, obviously with the new manager coming in. So here is what I think may happen:
Out:
Heskey (His contract isn't being renewed, which some fans will be happy about but I think that he does have a role).
Beye (Already Gone so his funds may be useful).
*Makoun (Possible transfer, may even go out on loan again).
*Warnock (Possible transfer, had a poor season but the new manager may no sell him).
*Bent (Possible transfer, injured for half the season, he's 28 and cost 18-24 million would be happy to get most of the money back).
In:
Martin Olsson (3-5 million as Blackburn went down we have a chance).
Brett Holman (On a free, good bit of business hopefully, but I haven't seen much of him).
*Guthrie (Unsure about the details but it could be possible).
Who else I would like to join:
Keane (A loan would do but when he came to AV he really did do well).
Junior Hoilett (Described by many Blackburn fans as the only good thing about there season).
Keane (A loan would do but when he came to AV he really did do well).Or Yakubu did well if Bent went there would be a space for him.

Beye was released, uve mentioned keane twice and martin olsson, really?

Sorry about the Keane and the Beye incident but personally feel that Olsson and Hoilett were quite good this year. Can, you really say that Warnock had a great campaign. Lets remember that last summer we basically tried to balance the books, so I wouldn't be shocked if the same happend again. Anyway Olsson would do better at left back than Warnock!

I think that if McCarthy got the job he would get similar treatment to the Big Eck, but personally feel that he would do a better job. But, I wouldn't welcome him with open arms though! Rodgers and Lambert are both great but would they be willing to leave there clubs, personally, I think not. Martinez has a great realtionship with Dave Whelan so I don't think he is really a big option, he's already rejected us once. Personally, I don't think Maclaren is a good manager he sucked at Nottingham Forest and England. Bruce is an option bu last season at Sunderland was't very good but I still rate him. AVB isn't an option he is good but I think that his last expierence in England was enough so he may go back to Portugal with Porto or a team like that. Personally feel like only Curbishly and Bruce are the only options so far, but it may change.
Now, this is just a question are we actually going to buy anyone this time? Or are we still trying to balance the books?
Would welcome any thoughts on managers and players.

Aston Villa are interested in Spartak Moscow’s Artem Dzyuba. The 23-year-old, 6ft 4in striker is quick and can also play on the wing.

Poyet, Lambert, Houghton, Rodgers or even Hughes
For Villa's next manager
It wont be McCarthy, Benitez,Raneri or Martinez as all are mediocore managers which Villa dont want
Remember the statement a young ambitious manager who can drive the club onto challenging for european football again where we belong

Benitez, mediocore? What planet do you come from? We could only dream of having him!

Again I'm hearing the new manager will be given 30 million to spend, up to 4 new first team players are expected to be bought in as well as any free transfers to make up for the players leaving eg, Collins, Warnock, Heskey etc, as long as the wage structure is healthy the likes of Diame, Figuroa, Clyne, Douglas, Barnetta are all likely to join the squad, Jean Makoun is due to return from loan also.

I don't know where all this s**t comes from? Mick McCarthy 100% no the board will not talk to him. Steve Bruce 100% no they won't talk to him either. I love the speculation and the hype. But to many people Believe there own rubbish that's printed. So all be patient I think were in for a pleasant surprise. The board can't afford to get it wrong. Us villa fans have already voted with there feet this season and season ticket sales are well down, Lerner needs the backing of the fans and so does his accountant so here's to the right man coming in I still think AVB and Ray Wilkins would be a great shout but here's one to mull over .. Big Kev and Martin larsson just a thought AJ
