It looks like we will need a complete overhaul of the strike force this summer regardless of what happens with the takeover. Weimann isn't wanted, Kozak's future looks up in the air, Benteke has a high chance of moving on and that just leaves Gabby.
So we will need at least two strikers possibly as many as four. Who should we be going for if a takeover happens, and who should we go for if it doesn't?

Ffs, fair play to gabby, personally I think it's amazing he plays for the team he supports, I'm so jealous.
But if he was arrested and sent to prison for impersonating a foot baller, I don't think he would have cause to appeal.

I have always felt that when Gabby plays we are a Ten man side.
He has had many years to prove himself at Villa and apart from a couple of seasons he alwys comes up short, well short.
He is not for me at all.

It's probably about time he stopped being a first team starter but we shouldn't consider selling him. He's like part of the furniture, like a faithful old dog that smells a bit like piss but you love it anyway.

Thats part of the problem Andy he is part of the furnature, most feel the same, he is a villa fan and that's where it should end.
He is not good enoughat at this level, championship at best.

Club loyalty is a rare thing these days and if the opportunity is there it should be embraced. I agree he's not good enough but I think he can be used effectively as an impact sub or against slow teams where his pace can be exploited. I can't help but feel that his loyalty can rub off on others (like Delph) and he serves as an example to those coming through the academy (Grealish) that you can come through and retain a first team place. Don't underestimate the effect he has off the field, although I totally agree with you about him on the pitch. We should get his wages down next time his contract is up for renewal.

Why did they put up a statement about a sale with so little information on it and they have said nothing for the last 2 weeks, west ham are looking to get cabeye, remy, them type of players in surely they wouldn't cost an arm and a leg van der varrt has moved aswell we have been crying for this type of player, I would love to wake up some morning with the take over complete and feel like the city fans did when they were taken over, but supporting the villa has always been a struggle so I guess I'm not going to feel like that anytime soon

He's a great player but I thought he wanted to go back to play in Argentina because of his family. Remember that stuff with city where he just left and played golf for ages. Also it might be a little bit too much of a step down - Champions League finalist to perennial relegation scrappers.
