it amazes me how quick half you "fans" turn on players around here. grealish and tshibola not long ago was going to be the future of this team and tonight majority say they was among the worst players in our team,

tshi seemed to be doing two mens work half the time.

I know we will never know, but one thing for sure it will have happened, when Bruce said to himself what the hell have I done. If the sweep was on which minute during the match he utterd it to himself my pound would be on the 47th minute. Anyone else got a time where they would punt their pound.

richards was awful yes but to be fair if him jedinak and cissoko get to start another game ill be suprised, far better players than them on the bench who i hope are only rested due to internaionl or bruce was just trying to see how they play.

Richards is clearly carrrying some timber if not a forest, however today I thought he really tried and showed some glimpses of what he could be. Ok he was all over the place but did throw himself in there and certainly made one crucial tackle in the box! Jedinak on the other hand is a ghost of who he was in the palace side! His use of the ball is beyond any imagination, such a shame as promised so much! Today was shocking again and Bruce has to mould a team from what he has been left. We were really second best today and SB has a hard job to get us anywhere near contention in readiness for his January window VTID.

In honesty, us arguing about who was worse is an exercise in futility
I thought Richards was a mess but I'm quite willing to accept others opinions about who was as bad
If we had 9 worse than Richard though we really are in trouble.

Just rewinding on my previous post having now watched the highlights on TV or should I say low lights?! From the Holte, Richard's tackle in the box looked a great goal stopper but was clearly a penalty! Agree Mendax he was all over the place but I felt he put in effort throwing self about. When think years back how silky fit an attacking right back he was, he looked a mess. 4/ 10 for performance 7/ 10 for effort! Felt dissappointed when he was subbed through obligatory injury and wasn't any great cheers to see him go so must have done something ok if not chaotic.

I couldn't get to game so had to watch on TV mate. in a pub in Wolverhampton. That was fun
Anyway, the tackle you refer to brought an understandable level of abuse for ref. I haven't had the heart to watch the low lights.

In all honesty Richards give it a go today, hasn't played in how many and he stopped them from scoring once, cleared it from corners 3 times and at points him and adomah defended well as a unit and attacked well.

I can see why you can say he wasn't that great because as usual he got dragged to the ball and when he burst forward 4 or 5 times he lost the ball all but once, however sitting the the jolts end upper you can see what he can and there was no one showing for him whatsoever, it's just he never chose the right decision to pass it inside he kept trying weird balls and losing it.

However if you was to question or pick out players today I don't think he should come to mind at all, Elphic, Jedinak and kodja were absolutely pathetic. Elphic is living of this whole captain thing, he's slow and can't read the game and Chester is forever covering for him, Jedinak do I need to even say anything, what a nightmare, kodja first half was lively but should have passed to McCormack instead of shot at one point which would of lead to a one on one in the box and second half, instead of going for the ball all he did was look for cheap free kicks by backing into players and holding them, which the ref wasn't having, he was knackered after 60 and needed replacing.

Could do a long post about the game but I've just got home and need my bed so maybe before the reading game. Glad we got something from the game, UP THE VILLA!

From where I was sat "on half way line upper Doug Ellis is was easy to see where the real problem is, we re lacking pace in the middle of the park. Tishbola and Jednaik can win the ball but they can't run at pace with it. Wolves were getting hold of the ball, charging at speed then passing to their forwards.

We were relying on our forwards to pick the ball up deep but it leaves them too much ground to cover and by the time they reached the penalty box they had run out of steam " hence looking unfit. Having said that we have a number of guys who look slow to me "Jednaik looks 50, Tishbola looks like he needs to lose some muscle, Elphick looks like the classic old waggon horse, and Grealish looked unfit! Finally Richards is like a headless chicken on speed with a weight problem.

It's going to take a bit of time for the team to settle and get used to Bruces methods. We really missed Ayew charging forward and that highlights how import he is to the team he's our only real creative spark.

Well that was a horrible way to spend a Saturday evening. Just awful. Lucky to draw, lucky to have 11 players on the pitch at the end.
January can't come quick enough (how many times have we thought that? ) . We need some steel in midfield and some creativity. Not one chance in the 2nd half. 2nd to every challenge. Too many passengers.

Got back from the match thinking ok, got a draw when should have been slaughtered by missed chances. What can Bruce really do between now and Janary to strengthen our areas of weakness ie midfield? Then had dejavu ground hog day, Sheerwood just needs time to find right formation, Remi needs time to find right formation with inherited players, RDM just needs time to gel new players and now SB just needs time to gel and find formation for inherited players! The massive difference is SBs experience in this division to shore things up and we now have Dr Tony to help out in January unlike poor Remi and the bunch of useless owners and board last January (Brian of course not included)!

Worst performance this season by a country mile. 2nd to everything. Surely he (Bruce) will have seen enough of certain players today to suggest they're not good enough.
Wolves have passed us to death. Kodja the only one who can hold his head up today.

they all look so unfit I'm ex army and been out 10 years and I'd still say I can run longer than them and I'm paid Less in a year than they earn a week scared to challenge for balls and don't close down really can't put finger on what's wrong although 442 would be my choice with ayew and mcormack rotated don't like grellish although played ok today.

Not one attempt on goal in the second half. Elphick injured and pretty much outplayed. Plus got soaked. Still, at least Steve will now hopefully get to grips with the reality. Richards lucky - should have been a Pen. My missus says Lee Hendrie now looks like he's just come off starring on the set of Lord Of The Rings. Hope none of the other Hobbits steal his stuff.

Fitness point is really important I think! Last season we were the laziest team in the country by a mile. But most of these players were not there then? I am sure RDM was different in trying to Remi and Tim bug perhaps not in the stamina and endurance part! I was furious in the last 20mins in the lack of closing down when wolves had possession in their own half, there was no pressing and I am sure Bruce will show them this back at Bodymoor? This has to change and is not something that requires more skill, just more effort, fitness and initiative!

Kodja are you joking? The amount of times the team pressed second half but he couldn't be arsed, I thought McCormack was going to end up fighting him, he was useless second half, may as well have had 10 men, to ball greedy, too predictable, too busy looking for cheap fouls to do anything.

Jack has to prove self to SB, his kick out was very immature but has not been rare in the game and from some world class players who should know better too. Bit harsh to say disgrace and never where the shirt again. He was the only one at the end trying to press when wolves had possession in their own half and was still looking to creat openings, love his little back flick to open up space near the corner towards the end. Let's see what SB can get out of him, he has worked with some 'bad boys' well in the past and learnt from the master himself Mr Ferguson. Too harsh villafanatic too harsh.

Just read some of the "hate mail" from last week from mrknowitall, I can see and agree with most of the optimists comments however let's remember, messers McLeish, Sherwood, garde and RDM. I think this was the point public enemy number one was alluding to. Optimism is the order of the day however history and realism are also a consideration. Off for a beer and down to the match hoping that this is a new dawn, however if things don't go well (remember the last five years ) we realists are entitled to our say without censorship.

Every single person on here is entitled to their own opinion, and every single opinion is open to debate, ridicule and question.

I can't go to tonight's game as its my mothers 60th bday. I just want to say this is a fresh start. Bruce has said he has wiped the slate clean so I think the fans need to too. If he picks Westwood don't get on his case get behind him and the rest of the lads. This is a fresh start an we need to create a more positive atmosphere at villa park. If we can get 3 points tonight it can turn our season it's a funny old league 3 wins on spin an we will be in the thick of the play off chase. So come on get behind the lads who ever is selected. I hope we never see Micah Richards in a Villa shirt again, not but I don't put him in the same category as gabby, lescott, guzan. His attitude when you look back was never a problem, losing to wycombe and he was over there tryna talk to fans, never tweeted anything, never disrespected fans, his passion was always present (Watford at home) but he just simply isn't very good, the rest of them aren't great but they all did things that mugged the fans off, all Richards did that was disrespectful was somehow convince people he was a professional footballer.
