I recently told about the unkown signing after the game vs arsenal, turned out to be grant holt, not what I was hoping for. But villa are still very much in for hoolahan regardless of bad blood we are talking 1.5 mil for a 31 yr old with 18 mths on his contract and woth no sell on value this offer will not come around again.
Also the defour links have some substance but he appears to be angling towards a move to the spuds. It has also recently came out the chadli getting no playing time so villa want to get him in on loan with a view to buy at the end of the season.
Don't be surprised to see a bid for a defensive midfielder alsonothing concrete but I would be looking towards diame from west ham, PL exexperience young and only £3.5 mil

What about Nathaniel chalobah on loan? Great work ethic and would sit nicely in front of our back four in my opinion!

Surely if spurs are looking to let Lewis Holtby go out on loan we should be at least trying to persuade him to prove himself in the premiership with us. He is a quality attacking midfielder and would certainly provide chances for our strikers.

Thoughts?

Would be ideal but scrooge won't budge on his wage cap.

Apparently Chadli will look for a move too wouldn't mind us trying to pick him us as we were supposed to be after him before Spurs signed him. Especially if Spurs are after Defour like his agent said they'll have so much class just sat on the bench. If it was me i'd just phone and as about everyone Holtby, Chadli ect. but again probably wages rule everything out.

I find the whole wage cape scenario pretty interesting in regards to the future of football, maybe I do not understand it properly, but surely if Villa and similar clubs stick to this sort of wage structure plan long term, then we will never be able to sign first class players, taking us on to higher levels? Isn't this what every PL club should be aiming for? What is there to play for if this is the case? (You could argue the entertainment is enough, but Villa can't even tick that box at the moment) Oh yea, the FA cup! ha.
