Is anyone else bored by this villa takeover. It's the chinese. it's Americans. The new manager is this bloke. Or some other bloke. I swear I've seen constipation move faster than this takeover.
Will someone wake me up when it completed.
{Ed001's Note - they take months. When Man City were taken over, people think the deal was done in a matter of hours but it was rushed through and still took months. The incoming owners bought Robinho as a good faith payment while the takeover was in progress. It was actually completed only just in time for the January transfer window. And that was a quick takeover process.}

let's hope this has been happening for months then. I've seen reports that talks were happing back in January. and in the Chinese case from last summer.

Can't agree more irishvilla! It was two years on 12th May when learner put the club up for sale! Feels like longer with all those pre season what ifs! I am just going to wait now for some bloke to hold up a villa shirt with his name on it or name of a consortium or company zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Ed, are you assuming (or do you know) whether there is any substance to this particular round of takeover talk?
This seems to have been going on for years.
{Ed001's Note - I believe there is substance to it, but no idea of anything more than there having been talks. I would guess, from what has happened with regards to resignations, that the takeover probably fell through. But that would just be a guess, my contacts are not really in that sphere of things, more on the football side.}

Sky sports said villa were the biggest team ever to be relegated from the premier league. It makes incredibly sad to think how far we have fallen from the dean Saunders, dalian Atkinson. We are a second city without a premier league team. Just sad.

Hollis has confirmed that talks were still ongoing after the resignations so I'm sure the resignations wasn't to do with the take over and more to do with the email that was leaked to Lerner. An announcement is just around the Courbet I believe, some time next week after the season is completed an owner then a few days later a manager.
