Poyet was at Norwich game alongside Tarricco his assistant. Told you last week Tuesday is the day of reckoning as Mcleish was getting the old tintac today. I told you to get to the bookies...but did you do it?...will be picking up my winnings tomorrow and booking a holiday. Brighton Chauffeur

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Who else saw Poyet at the canaries? Perhaps he was there looking at the canaries not Villa. Could it be a double switch? I dont think that the Brighton Chuffer will be collecting any winnings at the bookies anytime soon.

Agree3 Disagree0

Lambert is on a 12 month rolling contract so why would we be giving norwich 10 million for him????????

Agree4 Disagree1

Hi Chuffer, have you picked up your winnings yet? Thought not!!!

Randy Lerner is hoping to appoint his next manager within the next two weeks.

It's believed Lambert is top of his list and Villa are set to offer Norwich City £10million for the services of Lambert.

Also Lambert is going to be offered a two year contract worth £2million season plus £30million to spend in this summers transfer window.

It's also rumored that Sven-Göran Eriksson will be plan B if they fail to persuade Lambert to join.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

I wish I knew how people get this rubbish. Who the hell knows what Lerner is going to do when he doesn't even know?

Agree4 Disagree0

Sven has been waiting for the Villa post to become available since he was conned by the fake arab sheik. If he comes then expect Beckham to be in claret & blue within a week. If Sven does arrive we will have the best away record in the league. It has been suggested that he likes to play away from home!

Fantastic decision Mr Lerner I will be renewing my season ticket before the end of the month. Guess there will be several thousand other season ticket holders who will also be renewing now Mr Negative has gone. Please give us someone who will play attacking football and who is capable of motivating the squad. In fact, someone who is the complete opposite to McLeish.

Next manager will either be Rogers, claudio ranieri or fabs capello! Wants to stay managing in England! Would want backing in the transfer market though. After all the cut backs with cuellar and heskey certain to leave as well with others likely to follow(maybe collins, warnock) surely we can afford to bring in some decent players! Bring back milner!

Please Martin O'Neill come back.
We are bigger than blunderland afc,We have bigger attendances, stadium, fanbase.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

What's Sunderlands stadium capacity?
What's Villas stadium capacity?
What's villas highest attendance this season?
What's Sunderlands highest attendance this season?
What's villas lowest attendance this season?
What's sunderlands lowest attendance this season?
What's villas average attendance this season?
What's sunderlands average attendance this season?

League attendances only.

Agree1 Disagree0

Just so you know.....

Stadium capacity Villa 42785 S 48707
Minimum att Villa 30100 S 32296
Maximum Att Villa 40053 S 47751
Average Att Villa 33754 S 38686
Total Att Villa 607582 S 696361

And just for those who think above is unfair because Sunderland have a bigger stadium so able to have more fans etc. On average Villa filled 78% and Sunderland 80%. So not really sure what grounds the statement at the top is based on. Villa are certainlt the biggest joke so I guess the win on one count

Right so mc cleish is gone thank god,Will it be Rafa,Martinez,Lambert, personally i wouldnt want poyet he hasnt proven himself yet in the big league, i think the same for lambert i think the 2nd season will be a bit diffrent for him, rafa would want a bag of money so id say that would rule him out, so that leaves us with martinez he has done year in year out with wigan on a small budget with HALF decant players that he knows how to get the best out off TO YOU MCLEISH ITS CALLED MAN MANAGEMENT YOU FOOL,You nearly braught us down,

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Poyet and lambert have proven they can manage well and take the pressure and both have a good style of football.
Which under Martinez i dont believe we'll achieve as he's just another mediocore manager with a mediocore style of football who just manages to survive in the prem give the job to a young hungry manager with a good style of attacking football/counter attacking football which we expect at villa

Sack Mcleish my lord. I want any one other than him, we have no width, no bite, no verve and a complete lack of coherence between the "attackers". These are the basic tenets of what I have been bought up to expect from villa, a team that fights and pushes for something when they are down. Do the right thing

Having been at Norwich today and just seen McLeish's interview on MOTD, the guy is seriously deluded.

1 The fans were complaining about his performance and frustrated at his lack of tactical ability, plan a, plan a, plan a.
2 It was obvious that he has lost the dressing room, no great performances today other than the mighty Shay !!
3 What negative tactics yet again, we have nothing to lose by going for goals and he plays 7 defenders. Even when we were 2-0 down and QPR were losing he still doesn't change
4 Randy Lerner has the right to waste his money as he sees fit, but if someone at the club reccommended he pay the Blues even a penny to secure McLeish's services they need to be out the door with, if not before, McLeish.

If he is still here next season then I think I spend my season ticket money on betting we get relegated. What odds do you think I'll get, evens ?

Sad but this guy has ruined a great club and needs to, for once, make the right decison and fall on his sword.
