Nothing to do with football, so I apologise!

Ed, thank you! Coconut oil was a massive success!
Loki smells like a tart! But rash and itching stopped over night!

I owe you, and yoda one!

(I do understand that they made no sense to anyone other than its intended recipient! Sorry! )

{Ed007's Note - Good stuff mate! I'm just glad I could help AND I answered without having to ask 'er indoors. :)

14 Jul 2016 20:15:22
Hahaha I had to ask before rubbing it in!

And the bollocking I got for the cost will do us both for a week or so!

Thanks again mate! Seriously, your a star!

{Ed007's Note - I told you to shop around but it is well worth it, it's amazing stuff.}

14 Jul 2016 20:28:07
If this relates to resolving itching problems with our canine friends can someone clue me in. I've just spent yet another 80 quid on steroid injections for our bloody Westie. Is coconut oil the answer? It's a shame a good dose of bulls**t won't cure it otherwise I'd invite Classof82 round. Sorry Flackie, I disagree this has nothing to do with Football - the 80 quid I just spent at the vets would have bought me at least four Villa garden gnomes off e-Bay.

{Ed007's Note - Me and the Mrs swear by coconut oil for all our wee Staffy's itches and ticks, even on small scratches etc and it seems it's really helped with Flackie's dog's eczema. Have a read at the links mate but I'd definitely give it a try if I was you. If it works you've saved yourself a fortune and if it doesn't your wee dog will have a beautiful shiny coat on her and all round healthier skin. If you live near an Aldi's it's only Β£2.99 whereas it's about Β£16 out of Holland and Barret. I hope you get sorted out mate and let us know how you get on.

Strange goings on?

{Ed007's Note - Dog talk mate lol, although humans can also benefit from using coconut oil as well.}

14 Jul 2016 21:27:46
I see I thought flackie had picked up a nasty STD.

14 Jul 2016 22:11:01
No not this time mate! Lol.

15 Jul 2016 09:05:08
Obviously it's the dogs b. ks.
However it is said to be good for human hair.
As long as one does not e d up looking like a coconut!

15 Jul 2016 17:05:22
Many thanks for all the canine veterinary advice. Got some Coconut Oil from TK Maxx so let's see how it goes. In the meanwhile, any advice on getting stones out of horses hooves? Oh - not to worry - I've got a Swiss Army Knife .

{Ed007's Note - Good luck mate.}

14 Jul 2016 11:17:51
If we are looking for a proven striker someone like Ulloa would fit perfectly, what do you think?

14 Jul 2016 12:13:20
I had the very same thought mate
Would like a real speed merchant alongside him as well though
Galye would have been good in that respect.

14 Jul 2016 12:19:37
Ulloa an kodjia, gestede an ayey would give us good options. I'd AV liked us to get dembele who went Celtic for free.

14 Jul 2016 12:43:57
I think before we bring anyone else in, we need to get rid of some players from last season.

14 Jul 2016 13:37:16
I agree with all of the above - would like to see a striker in sooner rather than later so we get the benefit of pre season. Would also like to shift some of the dead wood as soon as possible to bring in a bit of cash, reduce the wage bill, improve the shocking atmosphere that surrounded the club last season. Without getting rid of the trouble makers (flabby gabby, Lescott, Guzan, Richards) plus the fringe players - Sinclair, Sanchez, Gil, Kozac, Cissohko it will be difficult to change the culture.

14 Jul 2016 13:53:07
What about Assombalonga seen Norwich are in talks with him, surely a player that would suit us next season?

14 Jul 2016 14:14:11
Agreed assombolonga (probably spelt wrong) would be great for us.

14 Jul 2016 14:36:02
Yes I'd take asom.

14 Jul 2016 19:22:55
I suspect Hepburn-Murphy will play some role this season as well. Along with Andre Green.

14 Jul 2016 21:45:10
So Ulloa would consider joining us, forsaking playing in the Champions League and dropping down to the Championship, BUT Benteke or Ings who play for a team who are not in ANY European competition, seemingly just bench warmers, wouldn't consider joining us? Glad we've got that straight πŸ‘πŸ»

UTV.

15 Jul 2016 09:16:16
Ulloa barely got a game last season and this season Leicestre will be strengthening
He also, won't be on the kind of wages that Benteke is
Now stop sulking and come back and play properly.

15 Jul 2016 09:41:17
Ulloa was just a suggestion, he will be 4th/ 5th striker at Leicester so why not take a punt on him? Inge will play at Liverpool so he's not going to come! And I agree with the above Benteke's wages will be huge.

15 Jul 2016 09:53:41
So paying Benteke what he's worth and his guaranteed goals that should get us back up in 1 season never mind the statement it would make going for him, the boosted attendances, merchandising golden ticket, isn't worth it? Interesting. πŸ€”

UTV.

15 Jul 2016 11:02:19
What so paying 30+ million and his 100K wages is a good idea for a championship clubπŸ˜‚.

15 Jul 2016 11:35:20
On loan with a view to buy if (when) we go up? Win win

UTV.

15 Jul 2016 12:21:36
So, assuming Liverpool want rid (looks like they do), they would be prepared to loan him to us out of the goodness of their hearts rather than sell to Palace or quite a few others in the Prem for the best part of what they paid for him?
Not going to happen mate.

15 Jul 2016 13:08:07
Palace won't cough up what they want for him, they probs still owe us a big chunk if not half of what they paid for him, a deal could be done there

UTV.

15 Jul 2016 13:21:34
"they probs still owe us a big chunk" . which makes it more likely that Liverpool will want to sell him. Surely?
Take us out of the equation and what you have said is that "they are more likely to want to loan him to us rather than sell to anyone else, because they have a big bill to pay "
I'd love him back as well but you are letting your heart rule your head mate.

15 Jul 2016 13:39:18
I'm living in hope, I'm thinking that we could've picked up any of the strikers we've been linked with by now because they're in the less than Β£6M bracket, McCormack being the exception but if we wanted him that bad he'd already be signed. Got a feeling in me waters that something big is afoot, hoping its Benteke on loan

UTV.

15 Jul 2016 14:41:28
I would love you to be right
Damn, you've got me at it now (thinking with my heart that is)

15 Jul 2016 15:24:39
We all know deep down your a big softie inside Mendax 😘Don't you think it's odd we didn't buy a striker 1st though, that's what's got my cogs going?

UTV.

15 Jul 2016 15:55:38
You're right mate, I am a softie (you're wrong about everything else though)
Joking aside, I'm actually impressed with what we've done in terms of the signings
If I had been responsible for recruitment I would have gone exactly the same route
Centre Back and proper captain; Goalie, then Midfield-monster.
All the areas where we were lacking more than anywhere else last season
I would next like another right-back, another midfield player and 2 strikers
Other than the right-back that is also what Xia has said we are after
I'm perfectly happy so far. RDM seems to have a clue what he is doing.

15 Jul 2016 16:27:21
Spot on with buys so far Mendax, Christe from Derby at right back, still short on an experienced enforcer/ can pass to his own team mate in midfield, blow the big chunk of what we've got left and from sales on the 20+ goals striker, and a punt on 1 of the 'could be's' strikers like who've been mentioned on here, go up as Champions because the Barcodes will implode, job's a gooden πŸ‘πŸ»

UTV.

15 Jul 2016 18:02:53
I think Gunter from reading would be a good option for right back.

15 Jul 2016 18:34:01
He was very good in the Euros πŸ‘πŸ»

Reflecting on on the awful performance of our national team and the possibility of big Sam taking over.
Do posters think that this is a good idea for the team or a popular choice by the FA?
My thoughts are that he does get players performing and we need a manager that can do just that?
What I would not be happy about is G Neveill becoming his assistant. He failed under the last manager, he failed in Spain when given a golden opportunity.
Before some posters come on and say this is the site of AVFC, it does not mean that we can only discuss our club.
And I do believe that Sam is a local guy coming from Kingswinford?

14 Jul 2016 09:35:26
Big Sam's a great manager but I really think the FA should go and get Laurent Blanc. A world class manager with experience of international management. The FA need to stop going for managers just because they're English and get world class managers.

14 Jul 2016 09:39:54
Whoever do you mean Oldvillan.? Best man for the job, get behind him

UTV.

14 Jul 2016 12:21:04
At least with big Sam, like it or not, his teams have an identity, a style,
One more thing, I totally disagree with the idea that any nationality can manage any nationality, the same rules should be applied to the coaches, and managers as is to the players.
It's one nation against another.

14 Jul 2016 13:09:37
True Flackie πŸ‘πŸ»

UTV.

14 Jul 2016 15:11:52
Hi UTV, would you put a frenchman in charge of the English team?
We had Garde and look what happened.
A manager with pride and passion is a must and he must get respect from the players.
Don't think Blanc would get this.
