Not a Villa fan (Forest fan) but just a genuine observation/question having watched them on MOTD, how does Christian Benteke get in ahead of Bent?

Bent was injured last game, happily have bent and weimann or gabby upfront. Benteke misses more than he scores

Bent doesn't do anything other than slot the last ball in the net.doesn't track back or hold the ball up.
Were as Benteke will hold the ball up track back, set up play seen as we have noone controlling the game in midfield benteke brings this to a degree, bullys defenders and create chances for his strike partner if their in a better position, does bent do this no!

I would rather have someone who only puts the ball in the back of the net than someone who runs around like a headless chicken without scoring, and anyway isn't its Bents job to score goals?

The difference is, if we send the ball to benteke's head, he heads it, if we send the ball to bent's head, 'oh where's the ball oh no i'm the striker i'm meant to head it lets just run under it and watch it go for a goal kick then stay standing offside for the next time its booted up to me'

Common knowledge, Sunderland saw you coming Bent worth no more than £2mil possibly £2'5mil

Norwich fan here. So Aston villa fans I'm not here to cause arguments or anything but Paul lambert I knew as soon as he left Norwich for yourself he would not do as good as he did at Norwich reasons at Norwich he had a group of players who worked hard for him every single min they worked hard sadly Norwich are a little burnt out this season and need a few players but you look at villa and its a mess Paul lambert is not experienced enough to fight a relegation battle but also the players are to blame qpr have Harry know if they survive its cause of him but noone knows what qpr are paying him my guess is a lot. So my question is what players would you like in and what manager would you like to replace Paul and I'm glad you took Paul from us as CHris H has got our defence solid lets hope for a striker and attacking midfielder

I'd like any players tbh, just need to freshen it up. Like to see Curbishley in as manager for the long term but RDM would do well i reckon

Problem with Paul is he does not really sell players like bent has no passion you could make 10m possible and that 10m could get some great players 4m Cms I hope Norwich get him but you could and Phillips or ince from Blackpool but I think you nee experience.
