Looks like Redscouse are getting their £49 mill for Sterling then, should be an interesting week at VP, if Benteke goes, will piss myself if we get the mega billionaire we're hoping for, if money's no object, who should we realistically go for? I'd go Lewandowski, my head's saying Austin

Austin would do nicely. As for Sterling, give it 5 years & I reckon he'll be plying his trade in Turkey, seen so many kick & run players that don't turn out to be world class, Aaron Lennon, Tony Daley etc. Give me Grealish over Sterling any day, putting it out there, he's got a bit of George Best about him, fingers crossed

No disrespect to Tony Daley though, injuries probably did it for him, Sterling is just up himself, & Citeh are mugs for paying that for him, Pelligrini will be out of a job by Xmas if they're more than 5 points behind Chelski, think Rogers will be the 1st for the sack though, on a hiding to nothing there because Suarez & Gerrard are never going to be replaced, no matter what money he has, mid table for them me thinks

No worries VillaDave, think I was heading towards if Benteke was to go to Liverpool, Delph to Citeh, they wouldn't be playing for the same manager that bought them by Xmas, stay with us, become legends! Got high hopes for this season, bit of a feel good thing going with TS in charge, 1 thing that needs to change is stop booing if we're 1-0 down at half time to Palace or whoever, think TS has got the balls to change things in that situation, unlike recent managers

Morning guys, I know everybody is probably a little fed up of talking about Delph now but do you think he could have read some of the conversations had on sites similar or on this one. Although we wasn't happy about him leaving people made some very valid points as to why going to Man city is a mistake. He is only human after all and if I was a baller I know I would want to see how people felt about the situation. What you think? A bit far fetched?

Hate to use the clichè line but a footballers career is short and could be cut even shorter at any point. If they don't want to be the best they can be and attain as much success along the way then why do it?
Obviously I'm buzzing Delph has chose to stay with us but i think this is mainly due to play time with the euros next year. Given a successful season and Euros i think he'll be off sooner rather than later as Villa just cannot fulfill the ambition of the better players at the moment and won't for the foreseeable future. Just hope this release clause is long gone by that point. As i said though I'm very glad he's staying and sticking to his word, i just think that when the time comes we can't begrudge him a move to progress.

Hi everyone, my first post on this site so pleased to meet you all. I've been hearing off a lot of friends that Larry Ellison is the mystery buyer of the club, is there any news of this breaking anywhere or is it perhaps just wishful thinking. I have scoured the net looking for some type of news but have been un-successful as yet so as anybody else heard anything on who the buyer may be ?
