How poignant Saturday's game is between two of Graham's former teams. I hope and am sure there will be many tributes at the game he deserves all of the accolades as a thoroughly decent man. I was an ever present when we finished second to LIverpool in division one, not a team of superstars but everyone knew what was expected of them. I hope his memories and philosophy are not forgotten. RIP Graham you were a true gent.

Well said all
Fitting tributes to a true gentleman
On and off the pitch
The game will be a sadder place without out his infectious smile
Nice tweet by Kodjia
RIP Graham Taylor

Very shocked at the sad news of Graham Taylor . What a great loss to football, he was much maligned by the London press, when he was England manager . Villa &certainly Watford, will always remember him . when we where in post Lerner reshaping, he was one of the people we should have called on . I was lucky enough to meet him twice, with that big smile, he put everybody at ease .
There is a call for the North Stand to be named after him, great idea . Once again great loss, condolences to his family . Onwards &Upwards Villa forever

A true villa legend and a true gentleman. What an incredible job he did here at the villa when it looked like we were in free fall. To then give us that incredible season as runners up to LFC, no wonder England came calling. What he could have achieved if he had stayed. RIP Graham Taylor and thanks for the memories, Swindon Away, Everton at home, Platty, Sid et al!

Watford away!
Most incredible atmosphere ever. both fans singing to each other, both singing the great mans name.

Would be great to have a friendly against them in his memory. almost like a testimonial?!

Not forgetting the best business ever done by the club, the purchase of a dodgey kneed aging Irish centre half! Thanks GT

And still cares about Villa, like he did when he played for us, LEGEND.

After watching us this season i don't belive we will go up this season IMHO but i do think we are going the right way under steve bruce. Next season i belive we will win the league but this season is to much for any manager coming in halfway through. Aston Villa is a project my message is if we can't get every1 we want in jan save the money till the summer there's no rush.

I can see where your coming from and your spot on about about transfer targets, settling for players we didn't want is what cost us in the past. However don't give up mate, not until it's mathematically impossible, I'm dreaming of the Wembley day out.

On the money walkthewalk, but maybe; just maybe, its written we scramble into the playoffs and get to the final, gabby comes on and scores the winner, we get promoted and he gets redemption, bob hope-no hope, i know, but stranger things have happened at sea!

I think its a shame eric djemba djemba is a bit too old now - i would have loved to have seen him playing in midfield, for zola's half-bakes!
