What a result. Big performances from kozak and ayew, look a great partnership. Kozak ran his socks off something gestede doesn't offer. Veretout and gana were brilliant. Ran, tackled, passed well. We actually looked like a half decent team. Encouraging.

Ok. We're struggling and maybe spending big transfer fees would be foolish. So what do people think of this?

Victor valdes - free
Ashley Cole - free
Namanja vidic - free (released today)
Inler - loan
Townsend - loan
Ronaldinho - free
Adebayor - free


Don't get me wrong - wages may be a stumbling block and age isn't on their side but we have a fair bit of youth in our side but we lack experience and quality which all of these have in abundance. They are all winners - and regardless of any negatives they're better than what we have. Thoughts please.

As remi seen the light no Guzan, gestede or Richards in starting line up and giving Kozak a start maybe just maybe.

Just been reading the reports in papers etc and it seems the inevitable is happening no one wants to sign for the villa giving our position in the tables as the reason and wouldn't surprise me if they thinking they don't want to be booed every week best we can hope for is some half decent lower league players who wouldn't mind 4 months in the premiership and possibly put up a good fight for survival. I also wonder if ayew and the likes will abandon ship if so might be a good idea to hold onto gabby for plan B.

So now we are targeting players kids, abusing family members, and justifying this in the name of support.
I'm ashamed to be associated with these people.

Thanks ed, but we will still have people trying to justify it, say it's fair, and that they all deserve it!!

There point that these players don't care is even mute! Because let's be honest!! Even if that was true, which professionally I totally doubt, how is targeting there loved ones right??

Makes me so angry.

I agree, booing after a performance, or lack of, is fine.

Protest against owner/board/lack of investment I back.

I can't condone abusing players loved ones, I don't see booing as players arrive at away ground, in their warm up, before kick off, i find abusing them as they get on team bus to come home, abuse so bad that they needed protection, moronic, and the arguments on here to support these actions as insulting.

I love this club, and until this last week have been proud to call myself a villa fan. Regardless of results. At min I'm ashamed.

Doubtful that anyone will sign now, allegedly players have been to villa park and would rather not have relegation associated with them. Lerner offering money yet no players want to sign, oh if only he'd invested earlier.
