How can Lerner allow this mess to continue? PL has had long enough and hasnt done anything to prove he's the man to take Villa forward. So far this season he has proved to me he is THEE worst manager iv ever seen donw Villa Park. What manager changes the defensive formation when his best & most experienced defenders are injured!! What manager constantly changes the midfield every single week and expects to get results!! What manager freezes out one of the best finishers in the league for half a season!! What manager brings on a Chesterfield player when were 1nil down & in a relegation battle!! I seriously cannot see us winning another game this season. I feel sorry for my 7 yo son who will have to endure the next 10 years watching Championship football

Believable5 Unbelievable3

So if you're defence is leaking goals you wouldn't try 5 back their? And if darren bent can't be arsed to turn up for the majority of games and when he does he does buggar all you'd still play him? I agree that the midfield shouldn't be changing every week but the bent point is nonsense! Bowery has a lot more pace and, somehow, strength and has looked promising when he has came on, when bent comes off the bench he just stands off side and effectively costs us games! When bowery and gabby came on today we played 15 minutes of good football, probably the best we've played in weeks and we were unlucky not to score! Bent is a waste of space and bowery is hungry!

A friend of a former Villa star has claimed that Lerner isn't too bothered if the club get relegated, he would prefer the premiership to be an exclusive club where there is no relegation so that the income is protected but if the worst comes to it, he will accept relegation and use it to restructure the club, get rid of anyone on over 20k per week and then hope to rebuild.

He is being presumptuous in the hope Villa will be able to return to top flight football within 3 years but the truth is, if we go down it will take 5-7 years to get back.

Hence the lack of investment in January transfer window

Believable4 Unbelievable2

No offence mate but we didn't need any insider knowledge that Lerner doesn't care if we are relegated.
It's been obvious for the past 3 years

3 years out of the prem, you would loose out on about 200million, do you really think Lerner is not bothered? I don't know too much about Villas finances but with the wages you pay I would think a spell in the championship would mean serious problems.
You could easily end up like the mighty Leeds, or more recently just look at Charlton, Southhampton, Portsmouth, all stable prem clubs, then within a couple of seasons league 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you mate but how else can you explain Lerner's apathy ?
The next 2 and half weeks are probably the most important in the clubs history

Lamberts says we are in dreamland if we think we can buy big name players, all i can say is he must be in the same f**king dream if he thinks will will be ok. wake up randy and smell the coffee, you are about to lose millions if we go down, get off your arse and sort it now. unless like the rest of your directors you could'd give a toss any more about this club.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Lambert said He Left Norwich because he didn't want to be content with just staying in the premier league, What went wrong then? seems he made the wrong move, Norwich on the other hand have more chance of being in this league than you have, We thank him for the time he was here and what he achieved with the club, but I think we would be in your position now had he stayed. good luck

so southampton and the ref done us 2 day, i personally think pl should go, villa was a step 2 far for him and faulkner should be sacked too, granted, we have a young squad but not all of the young squad are good or will ever be, example barry bannan, players like him are dragging us down

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Yes Saints won, and should have been at least 4 up by half time.

Don't blame Rodriguez for "diving"-he didn't appeal-it was the ref who gave it.

Your supporters drone on about your young team, but the Saints squad were a similar average age and the best player on the field was 17 years old!

I know losing isn't pleasant but your reaction is somewhat irrational.

Agree3 Disagree1

Quite simply put Villa fans are as arrogant as Man you and Liverpool fans, they think they have a divine right to win. When this doesn't happen they can't take it. Like spoilt children.

Agree2 Disagree2

Not very nice when the ref is on the other side is it, about time it happened to you lot, your going down.

Agree3 Disagree2

He dived and we batterd saints we missed change after change

Agree1 Disagree1

For the "person" who started "He dived", get your facts right. The penalty was not given for the incident with Rodriguez. Just because MOTD is ignorant, doesn't mean you have to be.

Saints were battered? Your team played with energy for about 20 minutes at the end, by which time Saints should have been 4/5 goals ahead. Hardly call that a battering.

Agree2 Disagree1

Funny how the truth hurts, and the truth in this case is you are not good enough to stay in this Division.

Agree1 Disagree0

Not good enough for the division? m8 you mad we have quite possibly the best back 3/4 in the league i hate you jokers on here slating teams that you have no idea about trust me m8 when enda stevens gets moved to left mid next ronnie mark my words

Another shocking display against a very poor side.
Mr Lerner if you want Villa to stay a prem team get your cheque book out and sign a decent centre half to replace Clark and a right back to replace bennett & Lichaj
also we need a inforcer or 2 in the middle to win balls and keep possesion having Bannan and Delph in that position doesnt cut it and a hungry creative player wanting to make a name for himself to bring flair to the wing and open the game up more than expecting wing backs to do it and track back where every team out there is catching us on the break and in set pieces.

Please Paul Lambert at least sign another centre half and midfielder who can command the game and for f*ck sake teach em how to defend set pieces.

We are able to create chances up front what we really need are 2 new strong experienced center backs and maybe a central midfielder, any idea on who is available at an affordable price?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Lamberts time is up! The sooner we get rid of him, the sooner we can move on from his shambolic period in charge of our great club.. Shambert needs to go Randy!
