Hi to all
I'm a villa fan and I'm disappointed with how things have turned out these last few years as well as a lot of villa fans but I want a few things answering by the villa fans that are on here do you think Martinez would have do any better if we had got him before lambert took over? I don't think so but that's my view also how come everybody is moaning about Randy Lerner when 8/7 years ago he was the best thing to walking into villa park. if randy does sell us what if the new owner does what he's done and starts pulling the funds away then we'll all be on here again moaning
I would personally give lambert another 12 months if money is made available too see what sort of players he can bring in because no manger can work with what he has had over the last few years look in January even hull city spend more then us on 2 players if he had that money he may bring in better then what we have
I know most of you will be giving it all that lambert and Lerner is rubbish but just put yourself in there shoes and see what you'd come out and do

Yeah sensible and I agree in principle, but it all depends on who buys us as to how we cut our cloth.

If we do get a new owner (and I'm not holding my breath) but I do hope. And again, if they have resources and wish to spend then we need a new manager who can bring his own players in to fit his ideas, another bunch of Lambert signings would set us back if we did end up parting with him.

I don't blame RL he has put a lot of money in to the club, all his manager choices have been bad, PL imo has been bad ok 40. 000000 not much in 2yr should have bought 4x10. 000000 players instead of poor players. I thought he was supposed to use the young players he did not

Difference Martinez would have made is the style of play. This season hasn't been worth half the price of a ticket very negative style of play with very average players.
I don't see being all bad though as IF investors come in and funds are available our new or current manager has lots of youth players at his disposal. The question is which ones to keep?!

Well done Nick, a realistic comment on the situation. PL did as he was instructed and we stayed in the prem. Money, £40m, is nothing in the prem. as it stands. 4 players cost £22m and th rest were hopeful buys that in general failed. I look forward to the new owner being positive and whoever the manager might be, he will get total support from the faithful at B6.

So it looks like Paul Lambert will be on his way out and apparently the new owner has eyed up a young successful replacement. I think that this might be Thomas Tuchel. He has only just left Mainz 05 and is only 40 years old. He has guided Mainz to two successive Europa league places and has been known as the new Jurgen Kloop. Just the type of manager we need hopefully he comes in and uses the money wisely.

How many more imaginative ideas about future management will we have to suffer from these people"in the know?". PL is still in charge and will be until any announcement is made by either Lerner or a new owner, and then he may still be in charge. The only thing I know is that it will not be me, nor Mendax, as he has already told us. So if one of you gets a call then tell us all and put our minds at rest. Thank you.

If Larry Ellison is the guy taking over, why not go for the actual Jurgen Klopp
I think he would be sensational for a Villa side with a reasonable amount of cash to rebuild the side

3-0 This could be lamberts death knoll, have never ever been so embarrassed to say to people who I support, and i'm talking about being a supporter for over 40 years.

Woeful absolutely woeful today. Another journey where the fans have turned up but the team hasnt. I will support Villa to my last breath as I have supported them for the last 40 years but today has madw me queztion whether I can keep going to the games, often with a 400 mile round journey and to watch a team, that I and all my family have supported for generations, not play with passion or any will to win most of the time.
Before any one start telling me to go support another team, just venting my spleen after another abject performance and some of the worst football I have seen in years. and just feel dismayed at the lack of anything from this club at the moment to show its at least trying to progress.
No doubt I will be turning up again next year, just hope the players can be bothered too.
Its more than just a football club to some of us if any of them or the management are reading this.

Watching PL on the touch line, it really looks like he knows what he will be doing during the summer. He has a look of a man waiting for his holiday. The question to be asked is for which reason? As others have stated he looks like he will not be staying at VP. The team as is normal appear to be lost at the back. 1 down and no idea!
