No new owners are going to be in place during the summer I think. All investors think it will be too much money to put in to a club before it can become successful. The players have to prove that some of them can hack it at the top level and not that much money is needed to be spent. But whilst it is pre-season nothing can be sorted out. Also, we have to come to the fact that the only players that we will be able to buy will be free agents or loan deals. The deals done so far have added experience, but we need a spark in the team. Some people might say Joe Cole can give it, he might, but why haven't we looked at Tom Ince. He is a free agent and when given the ball you can see the quality that he has. We need to look at players who can still play and aren't injury prone. And if we are going to get two premier league loan deals done then I think for one of them we should defiantly look at Lewis Holtby and for the other maybe someone like Wilfried Zaha or Ousama Assaidi form Liverpool.

Another relegated player Zaha he could not hack it at Cardif. we will have all the s t nobody else wants

Zaha and welbeck are pantsniffers they are are total waste off space I think we need to be realistic with the players we bring in this coming season I think cole and senderos are the best we will attract under pl holtby would be good if we could get a loan deal done

First I would get rid of the manager then, Kea, Toney Bennett Luna bacuna Kozak stila and free that bit of cash,. Holtby would be good agree with you on that Barry could still do a job more so than cole who I rated Four years ago, and Barry versatility, Micah Richardson off the top of my head

Fair point think we might be able to make a profit on the players as well to be honest. But if we sell them will Lerner let Lambert spend the money on new players? I wanted Barry last season on loan and Mich Richards could be brought for a small price because he isn't getting played.

I just don't think lerner is willing to spend any cash

Fordy-- You must be one of the deluded few who actually believed that ridiculous front page headline spread all over the Evening Mail a couple of weeks ago telling us we were being bought by someone from Saudi Arabia and the good times were coming back to Villa Park because we were going to be the next Manchester City. Also, I didn't compare Cole to McGrath, which I could hardly do since they played/play in completely different areas of the park. I was comparing their respective injury problems since everyone on here thinks Cole will be permanently injured and play hardly any games for us next season. They said the same about McGrath as I recall.

Take your time and read my post properly, I was not comparing them with each other, was I now.

I was simply saying in reply to another poster that said Joe coles legs had gone.

So I said we were told Mcgraths legs had gone but he performed great for us.

Clarrie---- point taken. I wasn't saying Mancini was coming to Vp. I was asking what people thought. I live in mallorca and don't get to speak to villa fans that much as you can imagine. So to say I haven't got a brain cell in my head is a bit harsh. I don't believe everything I read. I just want the best for the club I have supported my whole life. Fordy.

I know you want the best for your club, as do I and as do we all I'm sure.
Much as I would like to see someone like Mancini come in, I just don't think it will ever happen.
Also, I do happen to believe, in our current circumstances that Senderos and Cole are the type of players we are going to be signing and I would just like everyone to give them a fair chance before condemning them out of hand.
What's the weather like in Majorca?
