Calm down everyone take a chill pill man who cares anyway he's gone people can have different views man so if he is good then who was our bad players then?

12 Jul 2016 08:06:36
I don't know about players but I know we have some bad fans!

12 Jul 2016 09:09:53
Well said daz.

12 Jul 2016 09:44:18
From what i saw last season, I can't single any players out for praise. Gana did an o job of breaking up play, but then more often than not gave the ball back to the opposition through poor decision making or passing the ball straight back inviting more pressure. 7.1M is a good price. Use this money towards a goal scorer, Mcormack or the lad from Bristol City and Bamford on loan. All good options. Up the Villa. Ps. Gana, Bacuna, Gil, Guzan, Lescott and Clarke all to be sold. (Hopecully)

12 Jul 2016 09:49:23
Gana broke up play but then gave it back more times than not. Inviting pressure which this Villa team does not handle well!

11 Jul 2016 22:38:01
So gue controlled games for villa last season did he he make the most tackles did he he won us games did oh how many games did we win last season so gue won us them games by himself because he's that good what aload of bs guys he's an average player going bck to an average league.

11 Jul 2016 23:15:40
I can't understand what you write, or where you are coming from.
He was an above average player, I'm a below average team.
Statistics say was better than kante. Fact.

11 Jul 2016 23:23:54
Where did you get them from daily sport or football manager mate.

12 Jul 2016 00:03:54
Opta
Mate.

12 Jul 2016 10:07:53
Shot down in flames🔥🔥🔥.

12 Jul 2016 18:05:37
Never Flackie - he is average at best! i'd heard things about him when Paddy the plonker was after him, and never been so dissppointed when i saw him play! I was expecting George Boateng or Andy Townsend but we got Nil Lamptey! Not good enough end of do get rid.

12 Jul 2016 21:19:54
Look, I actually agree to a point.
But check the opta, and most stats re the guy. Was on paper better than kante.
More interceptions
More completed passes
More legal tackles
And actually more bookings. (Will gloss over that one! )

All this in a crap team.
If he had been in a top four side, yes he might of been terrible, but the fact is, we will never know, I just know he was the best of a very bad bunch.

I do agree that stats to a point are useless.
And that you can interpret them in many ways, and with in reason can make them say many things.

But figures don't lie.

Does he deserve a second chance? In my book yes, I think he was made to boss a team from the championship
Is he a top class player? Jury is out
Can we really give judgment on one season? Possibly
I remember a certain Colombian player we signed, useless for 18 months. Then took off. Imagine if we had got rid after that first year.

We need to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water here.
Yes, certainly some of that shambles deserve to be hung out to dry, both captains, a Klingon, and in my opinion a Danish player who refused to wear the shirt.
But some should be given a chance to prove they are better.
That chance may be all they, and more importantly us, need.

But, as a certain poster said, it's a good job i'm not the manager, mate! 😜.

11 Jul 2016 22:22:41
Wot has everyone been watching now gue worldclass come on guys what did he do i'm getting stick because of gue oh well to me he's no loss . can name 5 def mids better than him last season kante drinkwater dembele wanyama davis ledly matic all better.

12 Jul 2016 02:51:13
You need to read your messages before you post mate, really hard to understand.

Anyways, I actually agree to an extent he won't be missed an he seems like a world beater because he's played in such a shambles of a team that finished bottom of the league. Sure he made a lot of defensive tackles and interceptions but that was because he had to. His distribution, lack of goals and assists were woeful.

Good luck to gueye but he won't be missed.

11 Jul 2016 19:32:42
Yep gue going release clause met good good.

11 Jul 2016 21:33:07
not sure if your a bluenose just here to take the mick or you have no idea how football works, he was easily one of the best defensive mids last season in the league, christ people was wetting themselves over kante and this bloke was on his level stats wise.

11 Jul 2016 22:04:27
Im not a bluenose one of best mids in league what have u been smoking mate so if he's that real or Barcelona manu an city should bid mate . dream on mate he's not good at all mate one of best mids in don't make me laugh mate.

11 Jul 2016 22:05:47
Think u need to know how football works mate.

11 Jul 2016 22:21:31
Think the most important statistic of last season was that we finished bottom of the Prem, Gana can make all the tackles and interceptions he wants but it didn't do any good? Take the money

UTV.

11 Jul 2016 22:43:43
Agree with you on this villa 80 - forget statistics for a moment guys he really wasnt that good i watched him many times, he might have made tackles and probably made more than most but his distribution wasnt great and he isn't strong for a box to box player! If we can get £7.5million for him we need to snap hands off because he isn't in that bracket in a million years, he's a African/ french championship level player.

11 Jul 2016 13:10:16
Where will we finish next season? I might be sprinting before we can walk but I do think we will go up I reckon 2nd place just behind the bar codes only because they have done better transfer business at the moment,

11 Jul 2016 15:51:01
they might get a bit of a culture shock in championship we have bought well newcastle players are in for a shock its a kicking league the championship these foreigners newcastle have won't have the bottle for a long season.

11 Jul 2016 16:33:25
think ill wait till we start season and see whos coming and going first, but its defiantly between us and newcastle if we buy right.

11 Jul 2016 18:14:19
If think it will be close between us both, the bar codes are still to lose a few more players sissoko and wijnaldum as a minimum to leave. Wouldn't be surprised if krul leaves too. On another note I can see a striker signing by the end of the week, possibly McCormack.

12 Jul 2016 22:52:22
Is everyone forgetting leeds here or is it me? they've made some very astute signings with more on the way, you can't discount them, if the chinese consortium buy wolves then that makes things interesting, and don't overlook derby county, like or loath him, pearson makes teams tick, we should rise to the top, and with rdm and clarke on board you can guarantee there won't be any room for complacency.

11 Jul 2016 08:29:30
Morning fellas, just a quick observation, now, we're buying some good players and i'm sure we're trying to shift the sludge at the same time, and i know we don't want to go crazy in the market, but my mate supports a certain championship team (bha), and was digging me out saying we're going to make the same mistake most prem. teams make when relegated for the first time in ages, and that is taking our time to buy players suited to the league, when i asked him to explain he said the teams in the championship are normally on a limited budget and hence do not take kindly to clubs coming in to buy their players normally with less than 2 weeks left before the season starts because they obviously then have to identify and try and buy a replacement, and hence pay a higher premium price; the domino effect, before i get any pelters i'm not saying that's what we're going to do;but thinking about it, i suppose it would make sense to try and move things along in a higher gear i reckon-just a thought-NOT-a criticism.
onwards and upwards

11 Jul 2016 15:07:44
There's no doubt we will find it difficult in the championship, it's a rough an tough league an teams, anyone that thinks we will stroll back into the premier league is deluded

Personally I don't think we will come straight back up, I think it may take us a good couple of seasons to sort the crap out of this team an get us looking like a decent side.

11 Jul 2016 09:05:57
What's the difference between gabby and Ronald McDonald?

About two goals a season as both are f###ing clowns.

11 Jul 2016 09:59:26
his here for a while tho nobody wants him.

11 Jul 2016 04:15:02
Class of 82 don't b worried bout leeds who they signed that's any good part from roof mate they won't finish above us mate not a chance mate.

11 Jul 2016 08:07:21
I think as long as we get in a knarly, irritating, exprienced striker who knows the hoofers league and all the dark arts that go with it i totally agree with you villa80,i just hope we don't sign some cultured technically astute forward who may look good when in full flow but ain't up for barnsley away on cold, wet, miserable wednesday night in the middle of november, you know, the of cultured player who'll a snood on the pitch and a kafkan of it as a fashion statement! by the way it seems everton are going to nab seb haller from us, thd dutch connection and all that, maybe we should make a cheeky bid for nakki wells from huddersfield, at least he's used to the cold weather up there!
UTV.

11 Jul 2016 19:28:57
I like wells too but one thing mate there's loads of strikers too pick from mate not worried bout strikers . its wingers that worry me mate what bout u .

12 Jul 2016 21:01:42
I was thinking januzzi on loan, but someone on the radio, i think it was talksport, was saying rdm favours playing more through the middle, not sure that'll work in the bone snapper league, but i guess time will tell, i'm wondering who will be our midfield general, a joey barton type, that's twisting my melon at the moment!

11 Jul 2016 01:18:43
We need to sign at least one proven goal scorer in championshipengland before the season starts. With Newcastle bringing in some big signings with proven championship performers like matt Ritchie makes me feel uncomfortable. Aaron is a solid signing but we need more experience in the team now. Just worried that some of the overpaid softys aren't going to be able to cope mentally.
