He’s been unplayable last few games, but let’s not get carried away, equally should get carried away when he has off games. The way he’s playing at the minute it wouldn’t be surprising for him to make England squads in the future, but he’d have to be doing what he is now regularly in the premier league, not against championship teams.

Agree chris, yes he is playing really well at the moment but he has to do it week in week out, and also in a losing side when things are not going his way.
I would like nothing more for him to become a world beater and tear up the prem defences, but we have all seen what he can be like.
Just keep it up Jack and become the player we know you can be.

Sorry Ally, he is never going to be the new George Best.
He can`t stay on his feet like Best could, and he can't think and react anywhere near as fast.
When Best had the ball something happened instantly, Jack is slower and needs winding up sometimes.
That should improve so we will have to wait and see.
Best was the Best for me and by a country mile.

I take your points Dave but I have to reply. Grealish ends up on the ground a lot because that's the only way most teams are told to stop him, they know the damage he could do. From what limited things I've seen of Best, the opposition didn't do that to him in case he made them look like mugs? I'd say it's a question of eras, like comparing Maradona to Messi? Or Pele to Ronaldo? Imo Messi and Ronaldo are better but someone who grew up on 60's or 80's football would disagree? Grealish has that 'something' that we deluded ourselves that the Daleys, Byfields, Moores etc had but really really didn't. Spurs have got it with Kane, why can't little old Aston Villa have 1 in this generation? Just my opinion mate

Hi Ally, In fairness footballers of today are protected far more than they were in George Bests days, and with the likes of chopper Ron Harris, Norman Hunter, Tommy Smith, Nobby Styles around Best had it far harder than todays players.
George Best legs were shown on match of the day one Saturday evening and they looked like the had been through a mincer.
To answer your point on stopping Grealish, players were told to do exactly the same to Best, problem was it was less likely to be a foul back then.
You are right Grealish has got that `something` let's hope he keeps going in the right direction, I for one are back in love with him.

Out of everything he does the best is his ability to lap up an applause, always always the last over to the Holte end after a game without fail. He knows everyone loves him and he makes the most out of it, fair play to him.

I think Citeh would pay £100M for his passport alone lol, same for Alli. Wouldn't compare Gabby to Van Basten apart from his injury record. As for the World Cup, half the players in it are playing in lesser leagues than the 1 we're in, I was thinking of him being a 'wild card' kinda like when Wallcot was thrown in when he was around 17/ 18. Shake things up, think outside the box, don't you think it would be good for Villa too if he was to experience that?

Getting into the England squad can go one of two ways.
He could thrive in the environment and kick on or it could go to his head and become a bit of a big time Charlie.
Think he needs to be patient and keep shining.
Remember what happened to lee hendrie when he got his first England cap? he was never the same player, thought he had made it and never worked as hard again.
