Good to see Ayew, Gestede, Kodjia at the soup kitchen on Friday night.

11 Dec 2016 23:14:56
Did they look after you well?

12 Dec 2016 08:16:45
Hahaha flacks is back with a vengeance.

12 Dec 2016 12:48:07
Yes they did signed autographs with photos.

12 Dec 2016 14:49:59
Haha touché!

On serious note, I think it was great what they did, and if regarding villa we might not always be very proud of things on the pitch, but off it, with charity work especially, we should be immensely proud our club.

We still need a commanding centre back, a dominator. Someone to organise the back line.
We need a midfield maestro to play balls through for the forwards to run onto, it seems as if everything has to come from the wings.
There is a lack of imagination, we are predictable. Variation in play.
It is no good having Kodija, McCormack etc up front if they don't get the ball where they can score.
How many players do we have out on loan? Could any of them do a job for us?
I know Gil is a lightweight but so is Silva. Could he create a spark?
If we could get 4 pts from the next 2 games we should be in the top 6. 6 pts and a cert for the top 6.
Brighton and NUFC were drawn games and they are streaking away at the top and I doubt that we can catch them, so no more gifts to the opposition.
Oh, forgot. A reliable keeper. Golding may be the future but it's the present that is important.

just looked on wikipidia and noticed chester is listed as the captain, i know elphicks been missing a lot but has bruce stripped him of the armband completely?

11 Dec 2016 19:05:41
Ok boys here's a question : If the Doctor said to you that you had to sell 5 players, who would they be?
Mine would be Gestede Agbonlahor Richards Westwood and Ayew.

11 Dec 2016 20:41:04
depend why i'm selling? is it because i'm allowed to replace them with whoever i wanted? if so agbonlahor, kozak, richards, hutton, bunn, maybe even bacuna. might even go as far as sanchez and veretout.

11 Dec 2016 21:03:11
Mine would be Gabby, Westwood, bunn, Kodak and cissoko. Then I'd sign a covering left back, a first team right back, a top class centre mid, Robbie Brady and Jordan rhodes on loan.

11 Dec 2016 22:28:58
I would sell Richards, Gabby, Kozak, Cissokho.

12 Dec 2016 12:05:50
Sell: Kozak, Gabby, Cissokho, bunn and Richards.
Buy: Carl Jenkinson, a CM, a back up LB (already had bennet) and Rhodes Loan.

Just out of curiosity, can anyone pick a game so far where the ref has been any better than sub par/ average at best?

11 Dec 2016 17:10:46
Howard Webb 2002 World Cup final!

11 Dec 2016 17:50:36
Hahahaha I meant this season unfortunately. The fact that the refs we have are judged as not as good as the prem refs says it all, every game descends into pointless fouls because players get frustrated at the ref not controlling the game and they start taking it out on each other.

11 Dec 2016 04:26:56
Read in one of the papers that McCarthy, Tom Cleverley, Phil Jagielka, Aaron Lennon, Gerard Deulofeu are all down the firing line.
Now who would you want to take for villa?
I would take McCarthy/ Cleverley based on the fact that Villa need CM.
Deulofeu will also be good winger but we have plenty of options to choose from already.

11 Dec 2016 10:10:21
Don't think any of them other than jagielka and maybe Lennon would even be a possibility mate, just because there would be a few prem teams after them! I'd take jagielka, would be solid at this level and better than elphic. However elphic was decent yesterday, had one little mishap where Gollini just wasn't coming out to collect but he did the right thing and leathered it away!

11 Dec 2016 11:36:22
Just read it's us Sunderland and Celtic interested in McCarthy, would be a quality signing but think we are last on the list. Celtic champions league, Sunderland premier league and then us, and it wouldn't surprise me if Roy Keane was in his ear aswell slating us.

11 Dec 2016 13:51:41
Sunderland will soon be where Villa is rightnow. Unless they win back to back 3-4 games. He woudn't want go into that mess. If Villa shows improvement and climb up the table then he can be attracted. Not sure about Celtic though.
Would take Cleverly as well. He was realy good under Sherwood last few weeks. If he can show that form at this level he will be huge improvement to the current squad plus he woudnt cost too much I'm sure.

11 Dec 2016 15:10:03
To be honest mate he shouldn't want to go to Sunderland but if it came to it he would, money talks and the premier league is still a huge pull no matter the situation. And I don't think cleverly would be welcomed back, claimed he was going to sign for us and he was loving it just to get his starting place in the final then sodded off, good player but he really did us over when he was here before.

11 Dec 2016 17:12:46
I personally wouldn't touch cleverly with kingvilla's

No effort, commitment or balls, until a Wembley place was at stake, then didn't turn up for the final!

11 Dec 2016 17:51:49
Exactly my point, he was immense in the games leading up to the final, vs West Ham etc. Did interviews almost saying his staying just for a start in the final.

11 Dec 2016 18:36:11
Good point.!
