with all that's going on at the cub I can cope with the losses, I can cope with the poor shows and I can live with the piss poor attempts at big transfers. but the one thing that hurts the most after near 30 years of support for this club is trying to explain to my kids that it was once actually a decent team and we believe it or not was one the best in the league (they laugh when I say this)

And I'm old old enough to remember those days too

The last time we were a decent side was in the 1800's but i'm not that old to remember it ha! ha!

Ok maybe not one the best but we was top 4 or 5 at least

Remember 80/81/82. We should have moved on up and be where MUFC are at present but some one upset Ron Saunders and he walked.
We went and beat B/Munich with Tony Barton at the helm, but he wasn't Ron Saunders.
Ron was probably the best manager AVFC have ever had, and I have been a supporter since 1946. I've seen em come and seen em go and I expect to see some more go and come.

to say we are less than a month away from transfer window we are linked with nobody really so what can we expect bargin and basement buys I reckon, we have players out on loan that should be sold even for a loss ie Ireland bent given and a few more so we can get in a better grade of player I think we should be going for the likes of ;defoe, mcgeady, guidetti, rodwell, kaboul, adam, lescot, to name just a few i'm not saying these are great players but they would improve our squad they wouldn't be over priced either, we are buying young squad players from Europe that take to long to settle in

PL is trying to get Grant Holt from Wigan, only problem their is Holt will not move south again, He left Norwich to be closer to his family

Would love to see us go back in for Kiyotake but 10m is about 9m too much for randys liking. Expect a couple more unknown quantities and hope for the best. seems to be the status quo nowadays.
