1st time posting. can't believe delph would be so naive to sign for city. He stands out at villa, can't see him doing the same for city. Thought richards would have persuaded him to stay. I think he's making a big mistake, can't see him as a starter week in week out for them. Surely he must know they have unlimited funds and are buying him because he's english not because he's an exceptional talent.

Well he couldn't have had two better examples in Sinclair and Richards of what can happen at City so he obviously wasn't going to be persuaded to stay. Big question is who do we replace him with? We got Gueye but being as Cleverley bailed too we surely need another midfielder in.

Iam not gutted bout delph going half a good season does that mean he's world class an walk straight in citys midfield not a chance in hell villaboys he's blown his england chance now g barry is a much better player than delph when barry was at villa let big ben go now an build again no ones bigger than villa players come n go they ain't worth it i hope it bites both in the ass when this take over gets completed an chairmen states his ambition to make villa a force again

Let anyone and everyone go who isn't committed 100% to Aston Villa and get as much as possible for them to buy the besf players who are committed and honoured to play for you, its the only way to build lasting success.
Delph and Benteka leaving could well signal the reemergence of Vila as a top 7 team.

At least the gueye deal is done. I have a feeling this could be the worst decision of Delphs career. All city are doing is making up the English numbers. Fabian clearly thinks he is better than he actually is. Don't get me wrong he was great for us but we was fighting relegation. He will not be able to keep his place at a team of that caliber.
